Chapter 14 - progress

Then he broke down the door to the final boss: a massive purple dragon with a terrifying skeletal structure, wrapped in a dark and wicked aura, yet it laughed quietly and unfazed—truly something else.

It lacked consciousness.

Ah, wonderful. I have to kill a divine monster now. Could things get any worse?

He said this as he noticed an orb of purple-black fire and black lightning powerful enough to erase any form of immortality. He immediately dodged away

So that the fire ball from the divine dragon wouldn't hit him.

Nava said angrily, noticing that millions of breaths of fireballs were heading toward him, his facial expression mirroring that of a child who had caused a catastrophe and gotten caught.

"You dirty dragon, at least let me finish my sentence."

Then the dragon mocked,

"I was just kidding."

He tried to avoid every strike, but realized it was useless, so he used the dark magic he acquired from that monster, and managed to swallow the dragon's power.

System Notification: "The master has acquired the skill: Black Fire and Black Lightning."

Awesome, this is just what I need.

He said, then sighed and channeled the power into his sword—"Black Lightning Fire"—because he wanted to merge two skills into a single attack. It was powerful, but the dragon wasn't affected by it at all. Then Nava realized the situation.

"Oh god, the dragon is immune to magic. Good grief, this is an annoying god."

Then he realized that the fight would be extremely annoying, and he would have to take a defensive stance the whole time.

Then, but this time, the dragon launched a strange attack at him. It was snow and ice, but Nava had immunity. How was he affected by it, and why did he finally realize it? This dragon... wasn't unconscious, it was just a trick. He realized it. Then the dragon smiled a very wicked smile, and the place began to change, turning into an endless chaos and icy void.

"Great, now I have to find a way out of an infinite place, or else I can't even call it a place."

Nava sighed because it was annoying.

Then he started walking somewhere, and noticed that snow began to fly up from the ground, turning into numerous swords.

Then they all attacked at once, and Nava realized the danger. These swords were capable of killing a human's existence, even if they transcended the concepts of spacetime, reality, and imagination.

Then he remembered the sword, pulled it out, and began trying to defend himself. Since the sword's speed was incalculable, it was very useful to him.

He parried every sword that passed by him, then the swords stopped and fell to the ground. Celetia realized there was a trick to it, noticed it immediately, and jumped high. Then swords that had turned into extremely sharp ice pillars burst out from the snowy ground, and Nava struck them with his sword to destroy them, succeeding. Then he stood up and sighed.

"Well, well, creature, you're the first person who hasn't died yet. I like that. No one has ever reached me and survived this far. You're starting to impress me, what's your name?"

The dragon said mockingly as she changed her appearance, which was no longer the same—she was now a white dragon, looking like an ice goddess or the embodiment and manifestation of the concept of ice, time, deceleration, and spacetime.

"Well, what a strange introduction, but fine, my name is Nava, and yours?"

Nava said calmly.

Then the dragon answered

"Shiroryu, my name is Shiroryu. You are the first to hear my name, Nava, and I am honored to hear yours. You are the one who wants to be a Celestial."

She said, beginning to transform into a human form: a woman with silver hair, diamond-blue eyes, and the body and appearance of a twenty-six-year-old.

Shiroryu said mockingly with a hint of flirtation:

"So, Nava, shall we continue what we started?"

Nava smiled calmly, but seemed so captivated by her appearance that he couldn't take his eyes off her.

Then he regained his composure.

"Yes, let's continue, oh goddess."

While shards of ice flew around him, Nava began to feel a heaviness in the air, as if spacetime itself was slowing down around him.

Shiroryu whispered, her voice touching the void, freezing it and watching him. Shiroryu disappeared, no longer visible, but her aura filled the place.

"As you can see, Nava, this is my world. Here, I am the law, I am time, I am the end."

Nava felt every passing second like an hour, and every movement drained his energy. He used his void-manipulation skills, creating a barrier.

Of black fire and black lightning around him, trying to shatter the heavy, cold time imposed by Shiroryu.

"Awesome... your world is cold, but I've learned how to set hell itself on fire," Nava said, calm yet confident.

He raised his hand, gathering all his strength. White ice and swords of lightning began to wrap around his sword, merging with a purple flame, and he whispered the name of his new technique:

"Zero Point - Revival Lightning."

Shiroryu finally moved, appearing right in front of him with that same indifferent, confident smile. Power exploded from his sword in a massive wave, tearing reality apart around him, turning the ice into vapor. The place shook.

Shiroryu listened, the world itself collapsing around them. The place was tearing apart, as if they were fighting on the very joint between universes. They rushed toward each other, their swords clashing—fire and ice, lightning and time, every collision shredding a piece of existence.

"Oh, finally an attack worthy of me... Let's see if you can break eternity!"

After dozens of attacks, after Nava was stabbed in the shoulder and returned the blow to Shiroryu's chest, the two paused for a moment.

Shiroryu wiped the blood from her mouth, a quiet hum escaping her lips. "Didn't I tell you? You're starting to impress me, Nava..."

"And you seem to be enjoying this a lot."

Shiroryu let out a genuine, heartfelt laugh.

"Oh, because I haven't fought anyone who could make me bleed in thousands of years."

Then Shiroryu took a new offensive stance, her hands glowing with white energy, and began chanting in a language Nava couldn't understand, though it lit the area with a purity like light itself.

Shiroryu looked amused, then quietly interlocked two fingers.

"Absolute reality and void... killing truth."

As she prepared to unleash the spell, Nava focused all his power, summoning everyone he had ever met, everyone he had lost, and everything he had fought for, then gazed at her steadily.

He leaped forward and conjured a sword he had never used before—a blade sealed deep within him since the beginning of his journey, the Sword of the Void, capable of erasing concepts.

"This is your end, and I'm not sorry," Nava whispered softly.

"Sword of the Void - Break Void."

He swung it toward Shiroryu, cutting through her. With the strike, everything stopped. Time froze, the light fell silent, and the worlds came to a halt.

Then, with unexpected gentleness, Shiroryu dissipated into soft ice, only to reassemble herself. But this time, she was smiling, calm, sitting right before him as if nothing had happened.

Shiroryu mocked, though her tone was beautiful and sweet:

"Brilliant... you actually did it."

She then approached him, despite her wounds, and placed her hand gently on his face.

Shiroryu thought to herself softly:

"The first one to grant me an end... And the best part is that you were my opponent. You made me see the unknown as well."

Then suddenly, before Nava could say anything, she leaned in and kissed him tenderly, a smile gracing her lips as her eyes gleamed with a strange light.

Shiroryu whispered quietly:

"But Nava... this won't be the end. We will meet again, in another time... or in a forgotten dream. Or in another story. The truth is, I don't even truly die. We will meet again when you become a divine form."

Then, like snow melting in the sunlight, she began to fade, leaving Nava standing all alone in the icy void as silence reclaimed the space.

"That wasn't just a fight... was it?" He breathed slowly, his eyes fixed on the empty space where she had vanished.

Then he turned around, the Sword of the Void still in his hand, and sighed.

Celetia mocked in her usual emotionless voice:

"I think my lord has a soft spot for silver-haired girls."

After Nava killed Shiroryu, he started thinking a little about how he managed to make an ice goddess and a fundamental principle of the world fall in love with him—to the point that she kissed him.

"This is bizarre, honestly. I didn't expect any of this to happen, right? Celetia?"

Celetia replied

"Ara ara. It seems the master is thinking way too much. But seriously, master, you don't realize how attractive you are at all. Haha, you have the looks, traits, and personality that would make even a goddess fall for you. So, either fate loves you or you have a main-character aura. Either way, you're amazing, master."

Nava smiled at Celetia's words.

"Thanks for the kind words, Celetia-chan, but still, it's strange. Well, I'll think about it later. I need to get out of this room first to leave the third floor."

Then a mischievous smile appeared on Celetia's illusory face.

"Ara ara, my lord, have you looked at your face for a second, or haven't you realized it yet?"

Nava was surprised by Celetia's remark and raised an eyebrow. He then looked around to find a pool of water to check his reflection, and upon seeing it, his embarrassment skyrocketed.

"I see... it looks like there's some lipstick on my face and lips,"

Nava said, wiping the blue lipstick off his face and lips to look normal again.
