Chapter 21 - Birthday and Reunion

Chuta's Mansion, Meeting Hall

"I'll do my best to have a child soon for you to see, but you must also take care of your health", Chuta said in a wry tone, knowing she couldn't argue with Simte when he spoke of his marriage and offspring.

This dilemma had been plaguing her ever since her parents found out about Umza's innocent request during the first week of classes at Simte Academy. Her mother, especially, made the decision to find her at the academy and ask her directly. Chuta, at first, thought the girl would be shy about her mother's approach, but in fact, the opposite happened.

Umza had seen Chuta's mother's approach as confirmation of her proposal, which made her very happy, even mentioning her new friend Nyia, who was also in love with Chuta. Chuta's mother remembered that the High Priest had also mentioned her, and along with Umza's confirmation, she decided to approach the other possible daughter-in-law.

Nyia, unaware that her expressive friend had put her in a difficult position, was looking at her painting in her living room that day when an unexpected visitor stopped by. She politely invited the woman into her home, but she hadn't removed the painting from the living room. Chuta's mother noticed that the painting, an excellent piece by her son, was on the center wall of the living room. The girl's reaction upon noticing her gaze betrayed her feelings. Chuta's mother didn't need to ask anything to confirm her feelings for her son.

A couple of days later, they were invited to a large wooden house in the center of town. Neither of them knew what it was about, but upon arriving, they noticed the atmosphere was very solemn. Umza was the first to notice what the meeting was about and jumped up in excitement. "Nyia, we did it", Umza said excitedly that day. The other girl, unaware of what her friend was referring to, only has vague memories of the day she became one of SuaChie Chuta's fiancées.

"Simte... Remember, my sixth birthday is coming up, and you're invited", Chuta said as he watched the thoughtful High Priest.

A few weeks later, Chuta's Mansion, first-person POV.

"Thank you all very much for coming to my son's birthday. I hope you enjoy the party and the food", my father said in front of all the guests.

Today was the day I turned six years old after being reincarnated in this world. Previous birthdays had been celebrated quietly, without big parties and only a few guests. However, this time, my parents decided to invite a large group of people to celebrate the occasion.

Among the guests were family members, the High Priest, the chieftains, the council of priests, some teachers from the academy, and the presence of my two "fiancées."

"I'm a little embarrassed to be asked about them", I thought as Umza held my arm tightly as we strolled among tables filled with food, desserts, and drinks.

Nyia wasn't by my side, as she was now with her parents, who had visited the city for the council meeting the next day. She was enduring her mother's incessant questions and her father's congratulations. The latter was enjoying introducing his daughter as one of the wives of the 'Son of Heaven' and the honor it would bring to his family, while the rest of the leaders were thinking about how to achieve something similar with their daughters.

"It's delicious", Umza said, pointing to a plate of omelet rice with a satisfied expression.

"Try some desserts too", I suggested to Umza.

"Can we eat?", she asked hopefully.

"Sure", I replied.

"But Mrs. Za said it was best not to eat too many desserts, and we should only eat them after the meal", she commented reluctantly.

"Umza, this is a party. You can eat as much as you want", I said in a friendly tone.

"Shall we?", she asked, tugging on my arm.

"You can go alone. I must meet with the guests", I told Umza.

"Okay. See you later", she said excitedly as she strode over to the dessert table.

"Hahaha… Children love sweet things at any time of year", I reflected, seeing her "friend's" excitement as she headed toward the group the Chiefs had formed around the liquor counter.

"It's very good", said one of the Chiefs as he took a sip of distilled liquor. "I feel it burning inside me", he added, touching his chest, feeling the effect inside him.

"I wish we could drink this every day", said another of the Chiefs.

"Xiua, now you can ask young Chuta to give you some of these drinks", said one of them.

"Unfortunately, I must inform you that your wishes will not come true", my father said reluctantly. "Chuta doesn't allow this type of liquor to be distributed, only for Priest ceremonies, or some special occasions, like tomorrow's meeting. Even I don't get any", he said with a resigned tone.

"That's because it's a bit addictive. I'm just looking out for them", I said as I approached without being noticed. "Besides, it was very difficult to make before", I added with a mysterious smile.

"Before? So now it can be made easily?", said the Chief of Central Mountain City.

"That's right", I said, happy that they discovered my hidden message. "With the Academy's progress, we'll soon be able to produce a lot of this liquor", I said excitedly. Anything related to progress made me feel very proud.

"That's very good news", the Chief said, smiling broadly.

"I want one of those Academies in my city", said the Chief of Lake Mountain City.

"Soon you'll be able to have these academies in your districts", I said casually. "Chief Xiua, your daughter could teach art at the academy in your city. She's very talented", I commented, looking at the Chief of Lake Mountain City.

"Young Chuta, I think it's much more appropriate for her to teach at this academy", he said subtly. "Isn't that right, Nyia?", he asked the girl approaching with her mother.

"Um… I would very much like… to continue painting here… in the city", Nyia said in a shy voice.

"You see, young Chuta. My daughter has found this place very beautiful and will surely want to live here in the future as well", the Chief said in a suggestive tone while the rest of the leaders gave me mischievous glances.

"Even on my birthday, they'll bother me with this", I thought, frustrated.

The next day, Chuta's Mansion, Meeting Hall.

"Good morning, everyone", I greeted everyone in the hall.

"Good morning, young Chuta", they all responded.

"First, I'd like to congratulate all the leaders chosen for this first meeting", I congratulated them. "This meeting will be called the 'Annual Meeting of Kingdom Leaders,' and at it, we will discuss the Kingdom's progress, difficulties, solutions, and decisions", I clarified while everyone looked at me seriously. "Every year, a fixed number of leaders will participate in this meeting, who may be freely elected at their internal district meetings. The only exception to the number of leaders will be the inclusion of new territories, in turn new cities or large cities, and consequently new Chiefs and districts", I explained to everyone how the meetings would be held in the future.

"Next year, if the gods so wish, the Zenú people will become part of our kingdom. They are already deciding among themselves how the annexation will be carried out, and the only requirement we pose is respect for the laws, which they accepted very courteously. Their territory must form a large city, and at least two cities, which are already under construction, and people are resetting in those places. So far, they don't have a name for the large city", I commented, referring to one of the major advances in terms of territory. "In addition, two large cities are already under construction and will be incorporated at the same meeting", I notified the Chieftains. "These will be located on the eastern side of our kingdom, across the central mountain range. One of the large cities will be located near Lake Suaza, with towns and villages surrounding the lake, and some coastal cities. The other city will be further south near the Northeast Mountain Crossroads", I added.

"Do you need any help, young Chuta?", asked the Chieftain of Lake Mountain City.

"No need, Chieftain Xiua. The people who joined us last year managed to convince more and more villages, tribes, and clans, who formerly inhabited the Northeast Mountain Crossroads, the endless forests of the east, and the lake people. They all understood our greatness and saw the benefits that joining us can bring to their people", I replied proudly.

"I see", he murmured.

"However, not all is good news with the establishment of these peoples to the east", I commented in a serious tone. "Beyond the endless forest, there is a very lush and extensive jungle, where many tribes live. The problem with these tribes is that they are extremely aggressive, not only toward outsiders like us, but also among themselves. Furthermore, they are very skilled at camouflage and use weapons coated with poisons, similar to the weapons we used before, which makes them very dangerous to ordinary people", I explained in a somewhat annoyed tone.

"Can our warriors handle them?", asked one of the Chiefs.

"Of course", I stated without hesitation. "The Scout Division has already had encounters with them for quite some time. At first, on my orders, they only conducted reconnaissance and intelligence work, gathering information about them and their habits. Then we tried friendly approaches, but a certain percentage of these ended in conflict due to communication problems", I recounted in detail.

[A/N: CHAPTER COMPLETED

Hello everyone.

Chuta (the main character) shows his human side, and the meetings continue; this one in particular will be quite important. A new map is coming.

Unnecessary fact of the day: the two great empires of the 15th and 16th centuries, the Inca and Aztecs, reached their peak just as the Spanish arrived on the continent.

And while I haven't said the exact year the main character was reincarnated, some clues will be revealed later, which I'll surely have to clarify, hahaha. These are very specific details that not everyone knows.]
