Lila was walking on the busy road towards the market square until her eyes caught the new shop from afar.
There was something about that new shop that made her very curious about it. But since that old lady said they should ask the king for permission before patronizing it, she will do just that. Now that, Evelyn wasn't here with her ,she will pay a visit to the royal palace. She thought with a bright smile, her Sapphire blue eyes shone brightly under the sun, giving her perfect beauty of a young girl marred with her brown hair.
She kept on smiling widely as her dream of visiting the royal castle of the vampire king and his family was almost coming true. She was so glad that her naive foolish sister didn't follow her.
"Do you know how much I have been waiting for this day and time? To visit a castle and see how it looks like ?". Now I get to fill my thirsty curiosity. She mused before walking away from the market square.
Meanwhile, in the royal castle
The royal vampires family were gathered in the dinning room ready to have breakfast as usual when there was a screeching sound.
"Papa! " A lively voice called out happily running to hug her dad.
Thomas was so shocked and taken aback to see his daughter as he was too stunned to react , while Isla used that opportunity to hug him.
My darling princess, I have missed you. He said as he took hugged her back.
I miss you more than you can ever imagine Papa. I'm so glad the previous royal family are gone and are never coming back again. She said as she pulled away to sit on her father's lap.
Thank you Louisa for providing my daughter safely back into my arms. You don't know how much I love her. He said proudly while Louisa just smiled her red eyes shining brightly.
I did it for us, so as not to get separated from one another. She said happily.
That aside. We need to find that chained man that escaped the dungeon some days ago. King Lachlan said coldly as his eyes suddenly fell on Thomas.
Thomas didn't flinch nor say a word.
"What man?" Isla asked with a curious gaze when she suddenly noticed and felt the heavy silent tension at the dinning room.
Uhm, it's one of the outcast of the previous royal family with deep blood red eyes. Louisa replied with a sweet smile.
"An outcast?" Oh my why then did he escape when his royal majesty wa planning to release him? She asked no one in particular and King Lachlan was suddenly fascinated by her curiosity.
That we don't, we need to find him before he causes any further trouble. He has already caused enough trouble by escaping without a trace. Louisa said with a fake worry smeared on her face.
Actually, your majesty what do you think we should do to find him? Crown Prince Thomas asked, feigning a concerned look.
Exactly, if not he will start moving from house to house to start killing, claiming what he is not and that will cause a bigger problem for the kingdom. Louisa added.
I know all your worries. But your worry will soon be replaced with beautiful smiles. King Lachlan said with a sweet smile. His red eyes shining brightly as though he already figured a way to find the chained man.
How your majesty? Thomas asked with a suspicious gaze. The king didn't see them kidnapping the chained man? Did he? He mused.
Lila boarded a carriage and directed the carriage to the royal castle.
After riding a while, they came across a forest like environment. The smell of fresh blood lingered in the air making Lila heart skipped a beat.
"Oh no, she has to calm her nervousness to avoid being used as a meal.
She dipped her hand in her pocket and brought out four coins and gave the Coachman.
After paying the Coachman, she got down from the carriage and began walking towards the huge Golden gates of the castle. On reaching the castle, she came across four intimidating guards.
Lila bowed her head deeply, her mind numbing her nervousness.
The four intimidating guards who also had red eyes furrowed their brows in confusion. They had heard the faint bear beat of a human, never thought one would be brave enough to visit the castle.
Does this human girl wish to die? They all mused in disbelief and amusement of her foolish and courageous act.
"How may we be of help?" One of them asked sharply making her heart beat turmoil upside down.
I'm here to see the king and I promise not to take any more time. She hastily said.
The first intimidating guards looked at the the others motioning for them to go inform the king and the rest of the family about a visit to the royal castle by a human girl.
With that, the guards left, leaving the one that had asked Lila a question.
Inside the dinning room,
I can hear a faint heart beat. Isla said with a frown.
It must be the vampire maids. King Lachlan interjected.
No, it's beating more like a nervous human–– she paused when three guards came in heads bowed in unison.
"Your royal majesty, apologies for the intrusion and disturbance, but there is a human girl outside the castle that claims she wants to see you. But she didn't state any reasons". The three guards said at the same time.
"I told you all I heard a faint heartbeat like a human's heartbeat. I know the difference between a human and a vampire heartbeat. " Isla said with a pouted lips.
Let the human girl in and make sure no other vampires near her. King Lachlan ordered and the guards bowed before going to bring the human girl for the king.
"What's a human doing here in the castle? Louisa wondered.
She must be so brave to visit the vampires castle filled with only vampires. Louisa said and everyone agreed with her.
"Brave indeed". King Lachlan mumbed under his breath.
