After lunch that day, Gloria sat with Xander in his office as she checked her old phone.
"These people are so relentless. They tried calling so many times, tsk!" she scoffed as she looked at the number of missed calls and messages sent by her foster parents, Sia and Simon.
"They are panicking!"
Gloria smirked as she heard that from Xander. She raised her head to look at him with a playful glint in her eyes and said, "That's why I am going to poke the hornet's nest. I am quite curious how Simon will react if I confront him!"
Xander's lips curled upwards upon hearing that. He couldn't help but recall the conversation that he and Gloria had some hours ago.
Gloria chuckled lightly upon seeing that smile and felt much better.
As she started dialing Simon's number, she didn't forget to say to Xander, "You better take out that seed. The rain is coming. The sooner I plant it, the better!"
