Akio and Hashirama, along with their group, saw off the Second Tsuchikage, Mu, and his disciple, Onoki, and then prepared to return home to continue writing the third book.
"…Feels like I forgot something." Akio paused after returning home, sensing that something was amiss.
"In my memory, Mu and Onoki go on to visit Madara next, then get rejected when proposing an alliance, and end up getting beaten…" Akio muttered, half-standing up before sitting back down.
"Eh, it should be fine. What matters is finishing the book. Besides, I think Madara is close to leaving Konoha anyway…"
Sure enough, moments later, Akio sensed a massive surge of chakra. He didn't pay much attention at first—Madara was probably just giving the Tsuchikage duo a lesson. But two minutes later, Akio suddenly jumped to his feet.
"The Perfect Susanoo?! Has Madara lost his mind? Is he trying to kill them?!"
Akio could no longer stay calm and immediately flew toward the battlefield.
Thankfully, the fight was happening at the gates of the Uchiha compound. Madara couldn't go all out due to the location. Otherwise, by the time Akio arrived, he might've been collecting their corpses…
Even so, by the time Akio reached the scene, the Second Tsuchikage was already injured, and Onoki lay on the ground, shouting, "Why are you doing this? Lord Hashirama already—!"
Madara ignored him and was about to strike again when Akio quickly shouted, "Madara, stop!"
Madara did stop, and Akio thought he might finally be giving him some face—but then the Susanoo turned and slashed at Akio instead!
Akio narrowly dodged the blow and was just about to curse when Hashirama and Tobirama arrived in a flash. Hashirama shouted, "Madara, stop!"
Seeing Hashirama, Madara snorted coldly and swung another blade at Akio.
Akio sighed and was just about to form hand seals when Hashirama cried, "Wood Style: Wood Pillar Wall!" —blocking the strike for him.
Madara frowned. Realizing he'd lost the chance to act, he dispelled the Susanoo.
With the danger gone, Mu quickly went to check on Onoki, then turned to Hashirama. "Lord Hashirama, what is the meaning of this? We just signed a treaty…"
"Apologies. Tobirama, take the Tsuchikage and his disciple to rest. I'll give you both an explanation later," Hashirama said seriously.
After Tobirama led the two away, Hashirama turned to Madara. "Madara, why did you do that?"
"Yeah, Madara, what's wrong with you? You even took a swing at me?" Akio looked completely baffled.
Madara let out another cold snort, pulled out two books from his robes, and threw them at Akio. "Old man, you are exactly who I'm aiming at!"
Akio caught the books, his face full of awkwardness. Weren't these the ones he wrote? So that's what this was about…
Watching from the side, Hashirama rubbed his forehead helplessly. This great-uncle of his was giving him a headache again.
"Then why attack the Tsuchikage duo? I just signed an alliance with them!" Hashirama asked.
"Alliance? Meaningless. Only force can truly deter them. I originally only meant to teach them a lesson. Who knew that so-called Tsuchikage would use the same technique as this old geezer…" Madara said slowly.
Akio laughed bitterly. This time, Mu had really walked straight into the lion's den.
While the three were talking, more and more spectators gathered—Ino-Shika-Cho, the Hyuga Clan Head, and others all rushed over.
Akio gave Hashirama a look, signaling him to disperse the crowd.
Hashirama nodded and went to explain things to the onlookers, leaving Akio awkwardly alone with Madara.
"Old man, these two books… you wrote them, didn't you?" Madara asked grimly after a moment of silence.
"I did," Akio nodded, smiling. "Pretty good, right? Made you look grand—loving your brother, having big dreams, and achieving them."
Madara's Sharingan began to spin. Akio quickly interrupted, "Madara, you do know this is the Uchiha compound, right? You're really going to fight me here?"
Madara glanced around. Many people were already peeking out from the compound. He hesitated, then ultimately didn't make a move.
Akio sighed in relief. Seems Madara still cares about the Uchiha clan, so he probably won't leave them just yet.
And with that, the chaos settled. Akio received two more "Witness Points" and returned to his busy schedule.
Though the Uchiha compound was a bit remote, the earlier battle caused nearby houses to collapse, injuring both civilians and ninja. Feeling guilty, Akio summoned a healing creature to treat the wounded.
As for Mu and Onoki, Akio visited them several times—after all, they had essentially taken a hit meant for him.
After a few visits, Akio began to agree with Madara: the threat of force was effective. Though Mu had been furious at first, demanding an explanation from Konoha, he never brought it up again once he'd calmed down. After healing, he simply prepared to leave with Onoki.
But Akio stopped him. "Lord Second Tsuchikage, we both use Dust Release. I'd like to spar with you."
Mu's expression changed slightly. "Dust Release is a secret passed down only in my lineage. Where did you learn it?"
Akio laughed, "Don't mind the details. Maybe we were family 500 years ago…"
Mu: "…"
Although they called it a spar, they only exchanged a few Dust Release blasts outside Konoha before stopping as if by mutual agreement.
Akio understood well—Mastering Dust Release meant Mu's Fire, Earth, and Wind styles were each at roughly level seven by system standards. But that was talent. Akio, on the other hand, had used stat points…
So their power levels were likely even. Unless they went over a hundred moves, it would be hard to determine a winner.
Akio wore a relaxed expression. After all, he hadn't used Sage Mode or the Eight Gates. Like Madara said, just showing strength was enough. But Mu felt even heavier inside. The fact that a Konoha elder could fight him to a draw meant that allying with Konoha had been the right decision.
That afternoon, Akio and Hashirama saw off the Second Tsuchikage and Onoki, then rushed home.
In the days that followed, due to Madara's reckless battle near the compound that injured civilians—even if no one died—the Uchiha's reputation had worsened significantly.
Tensions between the Uchiha and the rest of Konoha escalated rapidly. Akio had a growing sense of dread.
Determined to make one last effort, he hurried to finish and publish his third book—hoping the villagers would understand the Uchiha a little more, and that Madara wouldn't go down that path…
Two days later, just as everything was ready for printing, Hashirama came to find Akio. The first thing he said left Akio stunned.
"Great-Uncle… Madara has left."
Akio's eyes flashed with a message:
*"Witnessed and slightly altered a side event in the Naruto world: Uchiha Madara's falling out. Gained 5 (2) Witness Points."
