Akio had tried to convince himself to go with the flow and let things play out naturally. But despite his intentions, he couldn't help stirring the pot—maybe it was just his personality, or maybe deep down, he subconsciously didn't want the Battle at the Valley of the End to ever happen.

After all these years of spending time with Hashirama, he'd gotten quite used to pulling little pranks on him. Even Uchiha Madara—after three intense battles—was someone Akio didn't truly wish to see meet such a tragic fate. As for "witness points," he couldn't spare much attention to them at the moment...

Ever since the graduation incident, Akio would occasionally wander the streets of Konoha. More than once, he'd run into members of the Uchiha clan and couldn't help teasing or bullying them a little. Uchiha had confronted him multiple times because of it, but unless Madara himself came to speak, Akio simply ignored her.

His intention was to make the Uchiha seem like a weaker group so that the villagers would lower their guard and stop being so wary of them. But unexpectedly, it backfired.

By Konoha Year 4, Akio overheard something alarming among the villagers:

"Those are the Uchiha. Even Elder Akio doesn't like them!"

He was both amused and exasperated. Only then did it hit him—he truly had become a highly respected elder. Even some of his more irrational actions were now just accepted by the people.

"Or maybe... this fear of the Uchiha is already engraved into their bones?"

Since one approach had failed, Akio decided to try another way. He wanted to shake things up again, but just as he was planning his next move, Hashirama approached him.

"Grand-Uncle, I heard you've had a few... issues with the Uchiha lately…" Hashirama hesitated.

"Uh," Akio paused for a moment, eyes darting, "Don't you think Madara's been acting off ever since he came back? I was just trying to test his reaction."

Hashirama suddenly understood, "Now that you mention it, he has been a bit off… Alright, I won't interfere. I trust you have a handle on things."

What Hashirama couldn't possibly imagine was just how far Akio would take it.

Unable to change the villagers' view of the Uchiha clan as a whole, Akio decided to try shifting their opinion of Uchiha Madara specifically.

He spent a month writing a book titled "The Autobiography of Uchiha Madara." Akio posed as Madara and wrote about his life to help the villagers understand him better and fear him less. But as he wrote, things veered wildly off course… The book ended up being "The Autobiography of Brother-Obsessed Uchiha Madara."

Akio figured he must've been influenced by the fanfiction he'd read in his past life. Thankfully, this wasn't an era overrun by raunchy novels, and literacy rates weren't exactly high either, so the book didn't spread widely.

Even so, after the book was released, Madara started appearing less and less in public. Some villagers—and even Uchiha clansmen—began giving him strange, even hostile looks.

It wasn't until later that Akio realized something was wrong and decided to fix his mistake… by writing another book.

This new one was called "The Dream of Founding the Village." It began with Hashirama and Madara skipping stones together and chronicled the journey all the way to the founding of Konoha. Akio's goal was to show that it wasn't just Hashirama's dream—the village also owed a lot to Madara.

But again… things went sideways. It morphed into "A Love-Hate Story Between Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara." After this second release, even the villagers began giving Hashirama strange looks.

Akio, refusing to give up, started planning a third book titled "The Loving Uchiha Clan." He wanted to tell the truth about the Uchiha, to help the villagers better understand them.

Before he could begin, however, Hashirama showed up holding the previous two books, his expression a mix of confusion and amusement.

"Grand-Uncle… what exactly are you doing?"

Akio chuckled sheepishly, "I just thought I could help bring you and Madara a bit closer, you know…"

Hashirama sighed, "Grand-Uncle, I don't think writing books is your strong suit…"

Akio shook his head stubbornly. "Hold on, I haven't finished yet! I still need to write the final chapter of my trilogy!"

Just then, Tobirama walked in.

"Big Brother, Grand-Uncle! There's something more pressing to deal with."

"What is it?" Hashirama asked.

"The First Tsuchikage of Iwagakure has stepped down due to old age. His successor, Mu, will be arriving in Konoha in about three or four days to sign a new alliance treaty."

Hashirama's face lit up, "Coming personally to sign a treaty? He must be another comrade who values peace!"

"Grand-Uncle, put the books aside for now," Hashirama said, "Let's get ready to welcome the Second Tsuchikage."

"Mu's arrival feels later than I remember… Did I accidentally change the timeline?" Akio wondered to himself, nodding in agreement.

Although he agreed outwardly, once he returned to his quarters, Akio immediately resumed writing. This time, he kept it simple—a book explaining the origins of the Uchiha and the essence of their love. He hoped that through understanding, the villagers might come to view the clan more fairly.

Just when he felt he was two days away from finishing it, Mu arrived in Konoha. Akio had no choice but to pause his work and head to the Hokage building to assist with the reception.

There, he once again saw Mu—and a very familiar face: the future Third Tsuchikage, the old and grumpy Ōnoki.

Meanwhile, in the Uchiha Clan compound—

Madara sat in the main hall, holding the two books that Uchiha had just handed him. After reading the first one, his expression darkened like a storm cloud.

"Why didn't you bring this to me earlier?!"

"Lord Clan Head, I only just heard about them from the other clansmen. The first book was published a little over a month ago, the second just a week back…"

Madara suppressed his fury. He suddenly remembered the strange looks the villagers had been giving him over the past month. He'd thought it was hostility toward the Uchiha... but now?

"Have you found out who did this?"

Izma replied awkwardly, "Not yet… but there aren't many people who know so much about you, Lord Izuna, and Lord Hashirama…"

Madara's face shifted. He clenched his fists. "What kind of relationship do I have with Hashirama?!" He grabbed the second book and quickly flipped through it.

A moment later, he grit his teeth.

"Old bastard. No one else would dare write something like this!"

He had barely tolerated the first book portraying him as an overprotective brother, but this second one… absolutely intolerable!

"You old fossil… you must be tired of living…" Madara muttered, seething with rage.

At that very moment, Akio was standing beside Hashirama and the others, seeing Mu off. The treaty had been successfully signed.

Akio had no idea that Madara was already preparing to come after him for payback...
