I don't know who the fuck the fucking Raphael is but I knew for sure that if my wife was going with that person to an auction like this. It is certain that he is something. As I saw Noah sigh. I knew he still loves me. "I know that you are upset that I didn't come with you to the auction together. But believe me. I love you. No matter what." Noah said.
He was confident and a person who doesn't get embarrassed easily but what if I did something to embarrass him? At this moment I wanted to kiss him and drag him into the bed. Not letting him separate from me for the whole night. But what can I do? He would hate it. If this time wasn't shitting it would have been fine. But then again power chart is decided today and if I did something like that wife would hate it even more.
As I started to calm my hot blood down. I spotted a few government officers at the front third row in second to fifth seats. Two woman and one man. Certainly, the both the female was not normal but the man he had something which is familiar as well as unfamiliar. He had the common brown hair and hazel eyes but even with those common features he looked handsome and somewhat familiar.
While I was still observing him a few whispers came from the near seat which was about Ms. Riva and her lover. I knew that the couple would likely make the power chart complicated which was by the way complicated already. And I'm sure that wife also knows about it. I leaned backwards and rested my shoulders.
The auction started. The first three items were pretty much useless. Fourth and fifth does hold power but only for those who are under the rank of top five. The competition's rules were pretty simple. The more money you pore into the item according to the current power chart the more your rank will increase. The fourth to seventh items were also useless to my power rank but the eight and nineth were fine it was not actually useful let us say but rather a show piece for top five rank and a very expensive piece for the under top five rank. but Why rush when the night is still ahead of us?
Julian's POV
Just as the tenth item came everyone started biding "100 million!!" "500 million!!!!!" "10 trillion!!!" Well, 10 trillion was not even the start to begin with as the item was none other than the Heli Rose. The most popular dowry in the world of rich.
Heli Rose is rose structure created out of Sapphire and has a thick layer of jade and a light but firm layer of gold with diamonds. This item was illegal before but just got the permission to be sold two weeks ago. Just as the price was getting higher and higher. Felix suddenly spoke "900 quadrillion!" and yes it was the final bidding amount that even the top five power chart ranks can pore money into the Heli rose.
Felix's purpose of taking the rose was simple. That is to convince my mother. Since my first month of pregnancy. Felix has gone round and round trying to make my mother approve of our marriage. He promised that instead of Sullivan family give the dowry, Caldwell family will give the dowry instead and of course the dowry must be at least a million's worth if my mother has to accept it. And since my mother and father are getting divorce, he has to give two separate dowries now. "You don't have to pore so much money into this dowry." I said as I worriedly looked over to Felix.
There was an unspoken rule of the competition that if there are two auctions held. The first one will be pure black money. Means you can only use black money to buy things from the auction and the second auction will be pure white money. Means you have to only use white money there. So, according to the Auction black money one is always meant for the mafias and the white money one is meant for the companies. And now I can't even interfere in the auction as it is also a rule that the partner who has more rank than the other will always have permission to buy auction meanwhile the other partner is forbidden to buy anything. Even though my family comes in third in the power chart but still Felix has more power as he is placed first on the power chart.
"It must be the most beautiful ones." Said Felix has he picked up the Heli rose with his hands. He bends down on one knee and proposed "This is for my dear wife." I… Don't know what to do at the moment. Of course, I have to accept the Heli rose but that can also lead to my power rank decline. I stared at the Heli rose while Felix read my face. He gently curved a smile on his face and stands up. "No worry wife. I will propose to you in beach."
