"Captain Uchiha," Ginjirō Shirogane began, his voice brimming with enthusiasm, "you absolutely must visit my Silver Dragonfly shop. A master like you shouldn't be without the finest eyewear Soul Society has to offer! It would be a terrible waste!"
"You wouldn't believe it," he continued, "there's a saying in the Seireitei: 'If you haven't used Silver Dragonfly, you're not a true captain!'"
As Ginjirō Shirogane escorted Yusuke Uchiha to his newly assigned quarters, he continued his relentless sales pitch. However, Yusuke Uchiha's specially crafted glasses were designed to conceal his Rinnegan and Sharingan; even Ginjirō Shirogane's finest eyewear couldn't replace them.
"Uchiha Yusuke, halt!"
A man's voice rang out from behind them.
Ginjirō Shirogane groaned, already knowing the speaker's identity.
Yusuke Uchiha had already sensed the approaching spiritual pressure; someone had been following them from the 6th Division barracks. He didn't need to guess who it was.
They turned to face the newcomer.
"Third Seat Kuchiki," Yusuke Uchiha said with a smile, "you've stopped me. Is there something you wish to discuss?"
Ginjirō Shirogane addressed Kōga Kuchiki with a serious tone. "Kōga, don't cause trouble. Leave now, and I won't tell Captain Kuchiki. But you're not to be disrespectful to Captain Uchiha again!"
A flicker of fear crossed Kōga Kuchiki's eyes.
But realizing that failing to remove Yusuke Uchiha would hinder his own advancement, Kōga Kuchiki decided to risk his father-in-law's reprimand to achieve his goal.
His eyes hardening, Kōga Kuchiki glared at Yusuke Uchiha. "I don't recognize your captaincy. I challenge you. If you lose, leave the 6th Division."
Before Yusuke Uchiha could respond, Ginjirō Shirogane shouted, "Kōga Kuchiki, this is outrageous! As lieutenant of the 6th Division, I order you to return and reflect!"
Turning to Yusuke Uchiha, Ginjirō Shirogane apologized. "Captain Uchiha, you don't need to accept his challenge. I'll tell Captain Kuchiki. Let's go to your quarters."
Yusuke Uchiha waved his hand, smiling. "Since I'm the 6th Division captain, disciplining subordinates is part of my job."
Looking at Kōga Kuchiki, Yusuke Uchiha asked, "If I lose, I leave. What if you lose?"
Kōga Kuchiki frowned; he hadn't considered losing. His Zanpakutō's ability made him undefeated against Shinigami.
"If I lose, I'll obey your orders," Kōga Kuchiki said.
Yusuke Uchiha nodded. "Fine. But if you're still disrespectful or disobedient after this, even if I expel you, Captain Kuchiki won't object."
Kōga Kuchiki sneered. "Talk big after you win! I've never lost an intra-Gotei 13 duel!"
Seeing he couldn't stop the fight, Ginjirō Shirogane sighed and stepped aside, maintaining a neutral stance. He didn't reveal Kōga Kuchiki's Zanpakutō's ability to Yusuke Uchiha.
This wasn't due to resentment towards Yusuke Uchiha, but because it was a duel; Yusuke Uchiha accepted the challenge, so Ginjirō Shirogane shouldn't interfere. Furthermore, as 6th Division captain, Yusuke Uchiha should be able to handle Kōga Kuchiki.
If Kōga Kuchiki's strange Zanpakutō ability overwhelmed him, Yusuke Uchiha would struggle to lead the 6th Division. A strength-based organization can't be led by someone defeated by a subordinate.
"Whisper, Muramasa!"
Drawing his Zanpakutō, Kōga Kuchiki released his Shikai. The Zanpakutō emitted an eerie purple light, but its form remained unchanged.
"A sensory-type Zanpakutō? I wonder about its power," Yusuke Uchiha mused, analyzing Kōga Kuchiki's Zanpakutō.
He sensed the strange spiritual pressure emanating from the released Muramasa, a pressure associated with illusion-type abilities, but couldn't confirm its exact effect.
After a few seconds, Yusuke Uchiha still felt nothing unusual, but Kōga Kuchiki's face paled, his voice laced with panic. "Impossible! Your Zanpakutō isn't reacting at all!"
Kōga Kuchiki's reaction revealed his heavy reliance on his Zanpakutō's abilities. Such Shinigami, while possessing a unique skill, often struggle to broaden their capabilities. His Zanpakutō likely targeted other Shinigami's Zanpakutōs, but Yusuke Uchiha's katana was a mere imitation; the true Zanpakutō, Ryūjin Jakka, remained concealed within the mental space of his mind.
With a calm smile, Yusuke Uchiha slowly replied, "Shinigami and their Zanpakutō abilities rely on spiritual pressure for combat. Your spiritual pressure is simply insufficient to pose any threat to me."
Kōga Kuchiki roared in disbelief, "Impossible! Since mastering Muramasa's Shikai, I've defeated countless Shinigami with stronger spiritual pressure than mine! Muramasa's power is truly unparalleled!"
Kōga Kuchiki was correct; Muramasa's ability to hypnotize Zanpakutōs was indeed a rare power unaffected by spiritual pressure. Muramasa's effect was directly on the Zanpakutō itself, and since a Zanpakutō's inherent spiritual pressure is relatively weak, primarily relying on its wielder's spiritual pressure to manifest its full power, Muramasa's hypnotic influence remained impervious to the interference of spiritual pressure.
Yusuke Uchiha's expression remained unchanged. Even if Kōga Kuchiki's Zanpakutō possessed such a rare ability, he couldn't alter his approach. He couldn't exactly reveal that the katana at his hip wasn't a genuine Zanpakutō!
With a slight smile, Yusuke Uchiha pushed up his glasses. "That's because your opponents' spiritual pressure wasn't strong enough," he stated calmly.
With that, Yusuke Uchiha unleashed his spiritual pressure directly at Kōga Kuchiki. The overwhelming pressure immediately caused Kōga Kuchiki to lose his footing, a look of stark terror etched upon his face.
Ginjirō Shirogane, though not directly within the range of Yusuke Uchiha's spiritual pressure, could still sense its immense power. Comparing it to that of the former 6th Division Captain, Ginrei Kuchiki, he realized that Yusuke Uchiha's spiritual pressure far surpassed even Ginrei Kuchiki's.
