Things quickly became awkward.
Within the bedroom filled with the unmistakable signs of an intense night, a sudden and heavy silence fell as Natsuki Minamiya abruptly appeared from her teleportation circle, her voice trailing off into shocked quietness.
The four people present—Bokue, Nagisa, Yukina, and Natsuki—froze instantly, staring at each other wordlessly, the atmosphere practically freezing in embarrassment.
It was an incredibly shocking scene. Even someone with the mental fortitude of the Witch of the Void was forcibly stunned in place for a full eight seconds.
For Natsuki, those eight seconds stretched into an eternity. Her mind raced at lightning speed, trying to comprehend what had happened.
Perhaps a mistake in her teleportation? Or had she slipped through a rift into some bizarre parallel universe? She rapidly calculated every scenario she could conceive, but eventually concluded, grimly, that no mistake had occurred.
This absurd scene was simply reality.
"You all..." Natsuki finally spoke, her voice strained as she tried—unsuccessfully—to keep her expression neutral.
"I'm really, really sorry, Ms. Natsuki!!" Yukina snapped out of her daze, jerking upright with agility she'd rarely even shown in combat. She freed herself from Bokue's arms in a heartbeat, sliding off the bed and standing rigidly at attention, embarrassment blazing across her face. "Please, just wait in the living room for a second, Ms. Natsuki—um…"
But Yukina's voice trailed off into mortified silence.
She suddenly remembered—rather vividly—that the living room was definitely not in any condition to accommodate company. Not now. They had thoroughly enjoyed themselves there, marking practically every surface, piece of furniture, and even the floors with obvious evidence of last night's exuberant activities.
Forget about sitting anywhere—there probably wasn't a single clean spot left to even stand on.
Yukina's mind raced, frantically searching for a solution, her gaze darting helplessly towards the cause of this entire catastrophe—Bokue Keikain himself.
But instead of helping alleviate the situation, Bokue made an even bolder move.
Calmly, almost leisurely, he reached out and grabbed Yukina by the waist once again, pulling the flustered girl gently but firmly back onto the bed. At the same time, he caught Nagisa, who had been preparing to politely excuse herself to get a glass of water.
Holding both girls close without an ounce of shame, Bokue raised an eyebrow at Natsuki floating awkwardly by her teleportation circle.
"You know—" he said lazily, "—it's kind of rude to teleport into someone else's bedroom without knocking first. Especially so early in the morning."
Natsuki's mouth opened slightly, disbelief written across her face. "You…you're actually lecturing me about manners right now?"
The Witch of the Void's voice cracked slightly, and a very faint blush colored her pale cheeks—a blush born equally of embarrassment and outrage.
No matter how mature she was, seeing two of her students caught in such a shameless act—one that thoroughly exceeded even her wildest imagination—was just a bit much for the eternally single, 26-year-old teacher.
Since when were kids this bold and shameless?!
"Let me remind you," Natsuki tried again, keeping her tone strict, "even if Japan doesn't really care about teenage relationships, Yukina Himeragi and Nagisa Akatsuki are both still in—"
"High school," Bokue calmly finished for her.
Natsuki paused, slightly stunned. "High school?"
"That's right," Bokue shrugged casually. "Second-year, Kuoh Academy's high school division. Is that a problem?"
Natsuki stared blankly for a second.
High school? That was a high-school student's… physique? Her mind involuntarily flashed back to the sight she'd inadvertently glimpsed moments before—something she very much wished she hadn't.
That size… surely it'd reach all the way to the stomach, right?
Unconsciously, Natsuki compared herself mentally to what she had seen, her cheeks reddening sharply.
No!
Absolutely not!
What in the world was she even thinking?!
Mentally slapping herself, Natsuki quickly cleared her throat, attempting to regain her usual composure.
"Alright, leaving aside the… details," Natsuki said quickly, forcing a dignified expression. "You three, hurry up and get yourselves cleaned up. This is urgent business."
"How urgent?" Bokue asked nonchalantly, clearly reluctant to get out of bed just yet.
"Extremely urgent," Natsuki emphasized coldly. "It could mean life or death for Itogami Island itself."
Life or death?
Bokue glanced skeptically out the window.
Bright sunlight streamed cheerfully in, illuminating a perfectly clear blue sky. Birds were chirping, the weather was beautiful, and it was the kind of peaceful day where even the sewer rats wouldn't stir from their cozy nests. Definitely perfect for more leisurely activities indoors.
"I'm serious!" Natsuki snapped irritably, seeing his unconcerned look. "You all went to that arrogant vampire's banquet last night, didn't you? You should know about the Black Death Emperor Faction infiltrating the island. Now I've received even more critical intel. So hurry up and get decent. We'll talk outside!"
"Can't we just discuss it right here?" Bokue replied lazily, still feeling disinclined to move.
"…"
Natsuki glared silently, finally sighing deeply. She descended slowly, her elegant black shoes carefully avoiding suspicious stains left on the bedroom floor. Pausing briefly to give the young man lounging on the bed a particularly scathing look, she turned on her heel, stepping toward the bedroom door.
"Fine, whatever, just hurry up—"
Squelch.
She froze.
A strange, squishy sound beneath her heel made her entire body stiffen.
Natsuki slowly, dreadfully, lowered her gaze downward.
The Witch of the Void's eyes widened slightly, her pupils trembling. Apparently, she had mistakenly believed that the battleground chaos was limited to just the bedroom. Instead, the evidence of last night's vigorous battles had spilled generously into every corner of the apartment—from the entrance hall, through the kitchen, even on top of the dining table itself. Worst of all, the living room couch, where Yukina had almost politely offered to seat her moments ago, appeared utterly drenched—pools of suspicious fluids still glistening ominously.
For the first time in her twenty-six pure and single years, Natsuki's mind struggled to comprehend the sheer scale of what she was witnessing.
Just what had these three done to completely devastate the apartment this badly?!
While Natsuki's mental scream echoed silently like a panicked marmot, Bokue stood up calmly, carrying Yukina on his right and Nagisa on his left. Without any effort, golden spiritual power blossomed from his body, radiating outward like a cleansing wave.
Instantly, the apartment was restored to pristine cleanliness—furniture became spotless, surfaces shining, all evidence of last night erased in an instant.
Then, as if nothing had happened, Bokue calmly stepped past the still-stunned Witch, heading straight for the bathroom with the two girls in his arms.
"Well, I suppose the finale should take place in the shower, right?" he remarked casually.
"…Pervert Senpai."
Yukina murmured softly, but she no longer had the strength to resist.
Instead, she merely nestled her feverishly red cheek against his shoulder, glancing shyly at Nagisa, who mirrored her position perfectly.
