That morning a young lady woke up, she rolled out of bed looked over at her phone and sit it down.
It was only nine a clock and she was up awake. The whole damn day had just started and her head was hurting. Just like every morning before that, headache, back hurts and a damn hurt ankle from running late at night. She need to stop doing that. But her doctor told her it would be good for her health to run at night.
"damn, body." She mudded getting up off the bed. Getting the sleep out of her eyes, she need to get dress and start another day of boring desk work, along with checking in on her mother. She a nurse at the hospital about seven miles from her house. She took her time getting dress, putting on her scrub and shoes, grabbing her bag.
One thing after working at a hospital is getting to meet new people and having to save lives. She hurried to her white expedition, puts the key in the ignition and starting it up, move it the down the long path way on to the highway. Making way on the highway, was not so bad till she came up to a off-ramp it slow way down, everyone was being slow as hell along with two semi trucks. If her day was not already slow, it had to be this way, getting around the drivers took a little time, till a rustd up car, was making thing hard. That is why the truck are going so slow,
"damn car move your ass."
She told herself to came down, it's only nine thirty and still had a hour to get there. The time it took to get around the trucks and car, it was close to her time to be into work. Parking the expedition, taking the keys out, locking it up and running into work.
Work was long and by the time she got off the sun was down, and it was getting close to her time to leave work, when a call come in of a male hurt and bleeding from a wound on his neck, it look bad as if he was bit by a wild animal. The guy was awake and staying at her, she smiled writing in the clipboard to fill out for him.
"name sir?" she asked.
"Even Night." He sound weak and short of breath. Even looked at her for a long time before saying anything. "what is thy name?"
"Izabella." Izabella smiled still writing in a clipboard, when he caught her off guard by what he said next.
"Izabella Reed." He grinned at her show of two white long fangs, them closed his mouth. He looked at a RN come in to check him in and taking the paperwork from Izabella's hand. The RN smiled give her that I got this look before having her leave the room.
Izabella walked out of that room with a freaked out look, she had her though going crazy with questions. What in the world was that? How did he know my last name?
By the time she clocked out for the day, she walked out to her truck, as two people stood there by another car looking at her as if she was someone new. Get to her truck get in and try to find the keys as the two guys opened her door pulling her out of there. She scream try to get away, just then that guy that was in the ER appear out of no where took the two guys out, she had her eyes close from being hit in the head. He picked her up get her to her feet.
"open your eyes." He asked her.
Even smiled at her as she opened her eyes. He looked at her then seen she was bleeding ,which made his fang become long, he turned away from her.
"you should get your head check out." He told her still not looking at her. It took her a minute or so to return her words.
"oh, yes thank you. Do you not mind taking me there I'm dizzy." She asked him. He took her hand putting it around his waist taking her to the emergency area to get check out. He sit her down in a chair walking up to the check in, not saying a word just get her in.
After there took her back there a girl in a nursing outfit walked up to him.
"lord Even, what brings you back?"
"a nurse of yours got attack, but no worries she ok for now." He told her. She smiled at him before returning to the check in desk.
Evan stay with her, knowing this was a damn bad idea, his a vampire lord and she… just something different, not human, but just different. He could tell by the way her blood smelled, it was intoxicating. It was delicious. He got up and walked around the waiting room just as she spoke.
"What are you?" she asked in a shaking voice. He moved back over to sit by her and sighed.
"What do you know about story's of creatures?" he asked her.
"like fairy tales?"
"yes, that."
She looked as if to think on what to say, she was quite for a while before saying.
"that they not real and just story's to scary children into behaving."
He was about to laugh on this, but told herself to explain this to her as if a child.
"will, now someone have been reading to much, no. They real" he begins to explain.
"im Lord Evan of the Vampire High Order, they king. And you my dear and not human as will, most of the nurse here are what we call…
Our Kind."
She was just staring at him before laughing and wiping her eyes from laughing so hard, after a bit she just look at him and his serious look.
"wait your serious?" she started.
Why would I joke about something true, dear." He said getting up as a nurse come over to take her to a room.
Evan watch her leave and a man from his order come over.
"Sir, what's that her?" he asked.
"yes, watch her." He ordered and turned leaving the hospital.
Izabella let the nurse take out information, that nurse asked questions after questions before leaving the room and leaving her sitting there.
She just couldn't believe this, a vampire… a real life one, not some movie fake one. A pale skin one and sexy as hell too. She shakes her head.
Snap out of it, they a mystery to be solved.. she thought to herself looking up at the white ceiling of the hospital room.
This room was no different from a normal hospital room, monitors, blood pressure monitors, and a vault that look out of place.
