At first, Leona simply watched from a distance.
She leaned against the wall, quietly observing Rin as he laughed and played with the children.
He really likes kids.
The thought came to her naturally.
She watched him patiently answer endless questions, carry children on his shoulders, and laugh as they tugged at his sleeves.
It wasn't forced.
He looked genuinely happy.
Then, without warning, another thought slipped into her mind.
...He'd probably make a good father someday.
"..."
Leona's face immediately warmed.
"W-What am I thinking...?"
She quickly shook her head, trying to chase away the embarrassing thought before it could settle.
To distract herself, she headed toward the kitchen.
Unlike Rin, she wasn't particularly good at entertaining children.
She had looked after younger kids at her family's dojo before, so she didn't dislike them, but she knew her strengths lay elsewhere.
If Rin was keeping the children occupied, then she'd help in the way she knew best.
