The ground exploded beneath their feet.
Emma grabbed Kael's arm as they fell through swirling darkness. Around them, pieces of different worlds crashed together like puzzle pieces that didn't fit.
"What's happening?" Kael shouted over the roaring wind.
"The final ritual!" Marcus yelled back, his white hair whipping around his face. "The Necro-Sovereign is starting it now!"
They landed hard on what looked like a beach, but the sand was made of crushed stars and the ocean was full of floating buildings from dead cities.
The Necro-Sovereign stood in the center of it all, arms raised high. Its voice boomed across dimensions.
"Let the great resurrection begin!"
Above them, the sky tore open like paper. Through the holes, Emma could see countless dead worlds. Planets covered in graves. Cities full of skeletons. Oceans where only ghost ships sailed.
