Jaden and Kaelith stepped foot inside Mr. Dane's office. Jaden entered first, followed closely by Kaelith, who kept his head lowered as he continued to brood heavily over the matter that still weighed deeply upon him. For as long as the child remained nestled within his tummy, he was always going to feel that constant burden pressing upon him—like he was carrying something unbearably weighty, something that demanded to be released, either from his troubled mind or from his very body.
Mr. Dane could be seen seated comfortably in his chair, slowly swirling a pen between his fingers while his sharp and piercing eyes rested firmly upon the two who had just stepped in.
Jaden, breaking the silence, smiled softly and greeted him, "Good day, Mr. Dane. I sincerely hope we are not disturbing you?"
