At 3pm sharp Amelia was in the meeting room with all the departmental heads. She wanted to be ready for the next move of the company after resolving the issue so proper planning was needed.
At this time all the department heads had come up with new strategies for the new phase of the project. They were to present their reports one by one for careful analysis and scrutiny.
"The marketing department are unsure on what action to take for now. Our plans involved promoting the Lost in Sun pendant but die to the crisis we are having, publishing anything concerning that would bring our stock prices even lower" Mr. Gregory, the head of the department said.
"That would not be a problem" Amelia said as she handed over a piece of document to Ann.
Ann understanding what she meant, handed it to Mr. Gregory.
"I have made plans on how we can make use of the situation to promote our product even further." Amelia said as she looked at him.
Mr. Gregory went over the documents and his eyes widened in delight but after a while the excitement died down. "This idea is brilliant but it can only be done if we are able to clear the name of the company in a few days."
"Like I said before that would not be a problem. I will resolve this matter in two days, just you wait. I want you to put together a special team with the department that will carry out all that I have envisioned in that document"
"Before we continue any further, I want to say this." Amelia said and gestured to Ann. Ann taking the cue, brought out some documents and shared them to the department heads who were present in the meeting.
"This is my first exclusive meeting with you. As you all know I am the new chairman of the company and as such your loyalty is supposed to reside with me" Amelia said calmly.
"As a result of this, the documents that have been placed in front of you are confidentiality forms. You are to sign them and also get everyone in your department to sign them."
"Anyone who does not want to sign them cam walk out of this company now. You would be paid your benefits for thos month and that'll be all. If not then you are to abide by the rules."
"As you can see the fine for breaking the agreement is not something you would like to cough up."
One of the department heads got up in anger. "This is preposterous! The fine for breaking this agreement is almost the current net worth of this company. And these terms, how do you want us to abide by them and…."
Amelia narrowed her eyes and gave him a cold look. The man immediately froze in his sentence.
"You are?"
"Monteeeez Javier Production department" he said as he struggled to find his composure. He couldn't believe that a woman could make him flustered like that.
"Like I said Mr. Montez if you do not want to abide by them you can leave. And do not interrupt me again".
Without even properly reading it, Vincent signed the document and handed it to Ann. "I trust that you know what is best for this company. I am ready to follow you."
"Thank you Mr. Vincent. I would like to start the presentation with Mr. Montez."
Although grumbling, he did a fantastic presentation. She had wanted to replace him but on seeing how good he was Amelia decided to keep him in his position. She just needed to win him over like she had won Vincent.
With that, the others except Vincent presented their plans for the next step of the company. Feeling satisfied she dismissed them except Mr. Montez. After the others were gone she stood up and walked to him.
"You are a fantastic worker, but you need to change your attitude. Being disrespectful to your boss will not be good for you. Remember, you are not indispensable and I can replace you at any time".
"Let's see about that" he muttered under his breath.
"You said?" Amelia asked questioningly.
"I aid we would see if you can resolve the current crisis the company is facing. When you can do that, the you would have my support. There is no need calling is for a meeting when we are not sure if the company is going to close up or not"
"Then let's make a bet then" Amelia said "If I win this case against us then you would give your full time and respect to me".
"And if you don't win?" He said
"If I don't win then like I told the executives, I will step down from my position as the chairman and leave this company. If I cannot handle a crisis such as this, then I am not fit to run the company"
"Agreed" he said as he left the meeting room.
Amelia smiled as he left. It seemed winning him over was even easier than she thought "what do you think of him Ann?"
Ann walked up to her as she carried the minuets of the meeting she had drafted. "He is a good worker. If we can win him over, he would bring a lot of productivity to the company. He has some talent ma'am"
"Just like I observed" Amelia said as she strode out if the meeting room. After walking for a while she paused and turned to Ann who was walking behind her. "I want you to get me the portfolio of all the department heads. I have a feeling that I need to reassess all of them".
As soon as she entered her office, Amelia picked up her phone and dialed someone.
"What orders do you have for me this time ma'am"
"I know that even though I told you not to get involved you still did it. I want you to send me the report on all your findings. It turns out, that I may be needing them after all"
"Hmm! I thought you'll never ask. It's a good thing I thought of it and made a move"
"Did you think I didn't know that you made a move. I only allowed you because I had forseen that something like this would happen"
"Alright if you say so" the person replied and hung up the phone.
Almost immediately, a notification popped up on her phone and she narrowed her eyes as she read it.
"It's time to give the perpetrator a taste of their medicine. I won't spare anyone involved in this. I won't.

"Sir with the second strike that we have done, I don't think she would be able to recover it"
"Hehehe! I know I'm a genius no need to rub it in. Let see how she would escape from this unscathed. She would be forced to hand over that company. That company belongs to my beloved and even if it means destroying it to build it back then I would. No one is allowed to take what belongs to me.
