Chapter 284: Asura vs. Sea God, Finale
In terms of weapon length, the Sea God Trident and the Shura Demon Sword were similar, both spanning around two meters, fitting the category of long weapons. While "the longer the weapon, the stronger the reach" was often true, the Sea God and Asura God both had battle hardened close combat prowess. One had emerged from countless bloody battles, while the other had honed his skills across the vast seas over centuries, each mastering their unique fighting arts.
"Sea God's Thirteen Forms: Limitless Tempest!"
"Asura Slash!"
Neither gave ground, diving into an intense close range fight.
In the Divine Realm, Poseidon took a sip of wine, chuckling. "These young fighters are so full of life. Watching them makes me feel like I've gone back in time." Those close to Poseidon joined him in laughter, a lighthearted atmosphere surrounding them.
Only the Asura God frowned as he watched the screen. Tang San, though imbued with his power, lacked refinement in wielding his divine skills. His strikes appeared powerful but failed to suppress Ye Wen effectively. Even with the enhancement of the Asura God's divine status, Tang San struggled to overpower his opponent. Meanwhile, Ye Wen wielded the Sea God's Thirteen Forms with such finesse that Tang San seemed on the defensive.
The Asura God was also preoccupied with another concern.
Tang San, too, grew increasingly unsettled. He hadn't anticipated that Ye Wen, usually so unassuming, would not only be the Sea God but would also possess such incredible combat prowess. In a single careless moment, Ye Wen thrust Tang San away with his trident, sending him flying.
"Ugh!" Tang San gasped, his chest throbbing despite the Asura God Armor absorbing most of the impact.
As Ye Wen approached him, his expression calm, Tang San's face twisted in frustration. The power granted by his domain, which he'd relied on for victory, seemed to be slipping.
Ye Wen paused his advance, stowing the Sea God Trident, and spoke casually. "Thanks, Tang San. It's been a while since I've enjoyed a close quarters fight like that."
Tang San raised his sword with both hands, his eyes filled with murderous intent. "Are you mocking me, Sea God? I was merely caught off guard that's all! Don't get cocky!"
"Think whatever you like, Tang San," Ye Wen replied calmly. "I've had enough. It's time to end this pointless battle."
Tang San laughed bitterly, his anger boiling over. "Arrogant Sea God! You're merely a first tier god, while I'm a Divine King. What gives you the right to look down on me?!"
Ye Wen smiled indifferently, his hands forming seals. This sight left the gods in the Divine Realm wide eyed, some even rising from their seats.
"This is ?"
"Am I seeing this right?"
"Ha, so this domain technique isn't unique after all."
Tang San's eyes widened as he witnessed Ye Wen's actions. Ye Wen's voice broke through his shock.
"There are three ways to counter a closed domain, Tang San. The first is to kill the domain's owner from within, breaking the domain upon their defeat. The second is to have someone powerful enough on the outside forcefully shatter the domain's outer shell. The third…" He continued his hand seals. "…is what I'm doing now. Domain Unleashing: Boundless World!"
The blood red world transformed into an expanse of red and white, sharply divided.
"Only a domain can counter a domain. It's time for a counterattack, Tang San, Second Asura God. Are you ready?"
Ye Wen's entire demeanor shifted, his aura chilling. Tang San sensed the oppressive hold of his domain had weakened, but he dared not deactivate it, fearing he would be at an even greater disadvantage.
Both combatants knew the battle would end only with one of their deaths. Their clashing domains elevated the intensity, igniting a fervor among the gods watching from the Divine Realm.
Tang San took a deep breath. "I hadn't intended to use this, even at my current level… it could severely harm me."
A burst of wild energy erupted from him as ten spirit rings nine red and one gold manifested around him. Ye Wen saw Tang San's intentions and watched with interest.
"Ring Detonation!"
Tang San detonated all ten spirit rings simultaneously, channeling their energy not into his Clear Sky Hammer, but rather into his Asura Demon Sword. His face twisted in agony, his aura surging with terrifying intensity, his power reaching mid level first tier god status.
"How terrifying an ultimate explosive spirit technique from the Douluo system," Ye Wen muttered, his tone grave.
Tang San wasn't done. He raised the Asura Demon Sword, glowing with a fierce red light, into a stance.
"Divine Skill: Asura Blood Sword!"
Seeing this, Ye Wen's expression turned serious. From the intelligence he had gathered through Poseidon, he recognized this move as Asura God's supreme divine skill. Tang San had merged his very essence with his sword, igniting his Asura bloodline in a full force, no holds barred attack.
Blood seeped from Tang San's seven orifices, his hair standing on end, eyes blazing with murderous intent. His demonic, bloodstained appearance resonated with the Asura God's power.
"Truly terrifying just like the Asura himself," Ye Wen remarked.
But Tang San was lost to his bloodthirst, lunging forward with the sword. "Die!"
Tang San's strike radiated murderous energy so intense that Ye Wen could almost believe it could slice through space itself. Tang San had fully locked onto his target, giving Ye Wen no chance to dodge.
"Dodging isn't an option, I see…" Ye Wen thought, readying himself. "But don't underestimate my domain!"
"Divine Skill: Boundless Barriers!"
Instantly, countless layers of spatial barriers materialized before Ye Wen. Tang San's blood soaked sword obliterated three thousand barriers in one strike, but the space in front of Ye Wen stretched, new barriers endlessly forming.
"Argh!" Tang San poured every ounce of his strength into his swing, but he seemed trapped in an endless expanse of obstacles. Eventually, he lost momentum, and everything fell still.
Tang San collapsed to his knees, drained, and then slumped unconscious.
Only Ye Wen's calm voice broke the silence.
"Never underestimate my divine power reserves, Asura God."
