Chapter 276: Shura's Celestial Descent Part II
Seeing Tang Xiao unable to continue fighting, Dao Ba hesitated to deliver the final blow. Instead, he took a disappointed step back, spitting on the ground with a sigh.
"Pathetic. Just when things were getting interesting, you give up? I thought you'd at least last a little longer."
Tang Xiao gave a bitter laugh from where he lay, bloodied and defeated.
"I appreciate the respect, but a loss is a loss. Make it quick, if you would I can see you're a worthy opponent."
Dao Ba stood silent for a moment, then nodded, stepping closer and raising his blade.
"In your next life !"
Just as Dao Ba began to speak, he suddenly jerked his head toward the now brightening sky. In the dawn light, two black specks appeared high above, growing larger as they descended. Dao Ba squinted, trying to make out the details.
Lying on the ground, Tang Xiao also noticed the figures, his eyes widening in shock as he recognized them.
"Hao Di!?"
Before Dao Ba could react, an angry roar split the air.
"Ring Detonation! Great Sumeru Hammer!" Tang Hao's furious voice thundered as he unleashed the legendary Clear Sky Clan technique.
With Tang Hao's devastating attack, the True Dragon Cauldron protecting Wang Bao shattered instantly. The forceful rupture caused Wang Bao's spirit to collapse, leaving him pale and coughing up blood. Seeing Wang Bao injured, Chen Youyu hurried over to support him, her expression tense as she warily observed the enraged Tang Hao.
Without hesitation, Tang Hao struck Dao Ba, launching a fierce assault on his brother's behalf. This was no longer the shattered man from years before; he was fully restored and radiated confidence and power, his cultivation having reached beyond what it had once been. Sensing the extraordinary strength emanating from Tang Hao, Dao Ba couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement tinged with caution. This opponent was no ordinary adversary; his spirit power felt on par with his own semi divine level.
Seeing his younger brother standing tall and fearless, Tang Xiao blinked in disbelief.
"Hao Di... is that really you?"
Tang Hao glanced at his brother reassuringly.
"Big Brother, get to safety. I'll hold them off." Without waiting for a reply, Tang Hao turned back to face the advancing Dao Ba.
Tang Xiao, still dazed by the sudden turn of events, rose unsteadily and made his way toward the other nine elders.
Meanwhile, the second figure from the sky landed beside the wounded elders, creating a standoff with Chen Youyu. The newcomer was dressed in crimson robes, his long, flowing hair giving him a striking and elegant appearance.
Unperturbed, Chen Youyu pointed her Celestial Wind Demon Sword at him, her gaze icy and resolute.
"State your name."
She wasn't about to waste time asking about his affiliation with the Clear Sky Sect it was evident he was an enemy. Any further questions would be redundant. Her opponent, however, remained calm and aloof, ignoring her challenge entirely as he addressed the elders struggling nearby.
"Leave this to me. Go back to Jialing Pass to rest and recuperate," he said coldly.
Though bewildered by this sudden assistance, the nine elders quickly realized that their survival outweighed any lingering doubts. Casting wary glances at each other, they seized the opportunity to retreat, led by the Great Elder, who urged the others to follow.
Seeing them retreat without interference, Chen Youyu turned her attention to the newcomer. Unlike the nine elders she had just fought, this man exuded an aura of overwhelming strength. Before she could engage, however, her fellow disciples noticed the change in the battlefield and began to close in to assist her.
In a single swift motion, the man raised an enormous black sword and slashed forward, leaving a deep chasm in the ground that extended for hundreds of feet. His cold voice rang out.
"Anyone who takes another step forward... dies!"
The sheer murderous intent radiating from him caused Chen Youyu's comrades to hesitate. As Ye Wen's senior disciple, Huo Rui instantly recognized the weapon the Asura Demon Sword, an artifact of immense power and a legendary divine weapon. She raised her hand, motioning for her fellow disciples to hold back.
"Don't engage him," Huo Rui cautioned. "He's beyond what we're capable of handling in our current state."
The others exchanged uneasy glances, realizing the implications of her words. If he was truly out of their league, there was only one explanation this man was a god.
The man cast an indifferent glance at the group before him, his voice dripping with arrogance.
"A wise decision."
This stranger wasn't just any spirit master he was Tang San, who had ascended to become the Shura God's chosen. With the Shura God's backing, Tang San had rapidly ascended to the peak of godhood, his level now at the pinnacle of God's Deputy, with a spirit rank of 109. Compared to him, these mortal Title Douluos were nothing more than nuisances.
On the verge of victory, Tang San spared them, though he knew that a few years ago, he might have been less merciful. Still, despite the bitter rivalry, he couldn't bring himself to completely sever ties.
Huo Rui, while unfazed by Tang San's arrogance, felt disquieted. Before the battle, Ye Wen had cautioned them about potential unforeseen disruptions, but she hadn't anticipated that the wildcard would be Tang San himself.
Just then, Tang Hao broke off his fight with Dao Ba, panting heavily as he made his way toward Tang San. With his opponent now beside him, Tang San took Tang Hao by the arm, and the two vanished from sight in an instant.
All that remained was the cracked, battle scarred earth, a silent testament to the ferocity of the battle. Huo Rui's team stood in stunned silence, struggling to comprehend the rapid sequence of events.
Back at the encampment, Ye Wen observed the battle's end with a thoughtful expression, his mind processing the unexpected twists.
"The Shura God has truly invested heavily in Tang San this time. Raising him to the pinnacle of the God's Deputy rank in a single stroke... If he had gone on a killing spree, I would have had to step in myself."
With a quiet resolve, Ye Wen issued a summons, calling his disciples back to camp. Today's battle had reached a standstill for now. Capturing the fallen soldiers of the Star Luo Empire alone would take time.
Meanwhile, back in Jialing Pass, the White Tiger Emperor felt a tumult of emotions as he observed the chaotic battlefield from a distance. The highs and lows of the struggle had nearly given him a heart attack. Just when it seemed that the Clear Sky Sect would be utterly annihilated, they had managed to survive. Relief flooded his face.
Moreover, with Tang San's arrival, the White Tiger Emperor felt his confidence restored. Having witnessed the might of Ye Wen's Ten Prodigies, he understood that anyone capable of standing alone against them would have to be immensely powerful.
