Chapter 128 - Finding Parents

We arrived at the residential building, but it looked abandoned, eerily quiet, with nine out of ten rooms empty and debris scattered everywhere. The door to my home was wide open, shrouded in darkness. Cautiously entering, we found no sign of my parents. Enis, Suōshā, and I searched the entire house, only to find that valuables were long gone, leaving just some household items. It seemed my parents had left some time ago. "Suōshā, don't you have foresight? Can you see where my parents are now?" I asked her. "They're about 80 na'er from here, roughly 150 kilometers in Earth units. You should be able to sense their presence," Suōshā reminded me. "Right, I forgot I can use aura detection!" I quickly spread energy waves outward from myself, searching for my parents' aura within a 200-kilometer radius.Soon, I detected their faint presence. "There! Northwest direction, I've got it!" I locked onto their energy field, grabbed my two wives, and teleported again. We arrived in an unfamiliar rural area. (Why would my parents come to such a remote place? Probably to escape the war,) I thought. Then, I spotted a woman fetching water ahead. A closer look confirmed it—she was my mother! "Mom! It's me, Tian Hao!" I called out, running toward her. She turned in shock, and the moment we saw each other, tears streamed down our faces. "Tian Hao?! Is it really you, my son?" We embraced tightly, sobbing uncontrollably. "I'm so sorry I couldn't visit you both these past years because of Lissome things held me up. How have you been? Are you hurt? Enis told me something happened here; tell me everything later," I said, holding her. "It's a long story. Let's go see your dad first; he's probably chopping wood," Mom said, taking my hand. Enis and Suōshā followed. "Greetings, Mom. I'm sorry for not visiting sooner," Enis said sheepishly. "Nice to meet you, Mom. I'm Tian Hao's second wife, Suōshā. Please take care of me," Suōshā chimed in. "Second wife? Tian Hao, you're taking on another woman? You can't be so fickle!" Mom exclaimed, struggling to accept it. "Mom, you've misunderstood. Hubby treats us well, and I've accepted Suōshā as my sister. Please don't blame him," Enis defended me. "Though I'm the newer wife, I support him just like Enis. Please accept me, Mom," Suōshā pleaded. "I'm not rejecting you. I'm just worried this kid's too much of a playboy. But if you're all happy together, I won't say anything. I wish you everlasting love," Mom said, smiling with relief.Seeing the three of them chatting warmly, I felt at ease. Mom led us to the fields behind the house, where Dad was working with others. "Dad!" I shouted. He turned sharply. "Tian Hao? You're back?" He dropped his work and hurried over. We hadn't seen each other in years, and words couldn't express it—a real hug said it all. "I'm back!" "Thank goodness you're both okay. We've been so worried. Oh, who's this?" Dad asked, noticing Suōshā. "Uh, she's my second wife, Suōshā. Say hi to Dad, honey." "Greetings, Father. I'm Suōshā, Tian Hao's second wife. Please accept me," she said. "What?! Well, you must've been through a lot these years. Fine, I won't meddle in you youngsters' affairs. As long as you're happy, that's enough," Dad said, reluctantly accepting. "Haha, it's complicated, so I won't explain. Why did you move here? How did you get here? What's with the war outside? Let's sit down and talk," I said, full of questions. "Is this Tian Hao? He's grown so much!" a nearby uncle and auntie said, smiling. "Oh, I haven't introduced them. This is your uncle and aunt. Say hi," Dad said. "Hello, Uncle and Auntie! I'm Tian Hao. Thank you for giving my parents a place to stay. I'm deeply grateful!" "Hello, Uncle and Auntie. We're White's wives. Please take care of us," Enis and Suōshā said together. "White? Isn't your name Tian Hao?" Uncle asked, confused. "Oh, that's my English name abroad, haha," I laughed it off.
