Kaido's sudden appearance forced the CP0 agents to consider retreating.

But escaping now was easier said than done.

Three of the CP0 agents were still being mercilessly tossed around by the wrestler, unable to break free. That left only one CP0 operative to face the overwhelming lineup: Ace, Captain America, Kakashi, Kaido—who had just taken down two CP0 agents in an instant—and Ikki, who had just dropped from the sky.

"Uh... everyone, this is all just a misunderstanding. How about we each take a step back? You let me go, and I... I'll kowtow to you. Can we just forget about this?"

Ikki hadn't expected this CP0 agent to be so spineless—he might even be worse than CP9 in the future!

Of course, there was no way they were letting him go.

Perhaps sensing Ikki's killing intent, the CP0 agent fell silent for a moment before abruptly turning and bolting without another word.

His speed was incredible, and his mastery of Moonwalk and Shave left afterimages in mid-air as he fled.

But trying to outrun Ikki, who possessed the Rabbit Talisman's speed, was unrealistic.

Just when CP0 thought he had escaped, a breeze passed by. Turning his head, he was met with the sight of Ikki, now wearing a mask, staring at him.

"How the hell... is he this fast?!"

Gritting his teeth, CP0 coated his fingers with Armament Haki and launched a Finger Pistol straight at Ikki. If he could just take down this opponent, his chances of escape would increase dramatically.

Seeing the attack, Ikki knew better than to face it head-on. He activated the Rabbit Talisman's speed once more, dodging effortlessly. Using his ability to fly freely, he closed the distance and delivered a rapid barrage of strikes to CP0's chest and abdomen with the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist.

A muffled impact rang out as CP0 was sent flying backward.

But seeing that his attack hadn't been very effective, Ikki couldn't help but sigh. "As expected... in the world of pirates, Haki is everything."

By this point in One Piece, the power system was clear—Haki could suppress even the most broken Devil Fruit abilities. If one's Haki was strong enough, it could overcome anything.

"If that didn't work, then let me show you what a real barrage looks like!"

With that, Ikki launched himself into the air and unleashed all his attack methods.

Sky Dragon's Roar sent CP0 tumbling, followed by a grenade launcher blasting more than a dozen rounds at him. Explosions erupted in succession.

Ikki didn't stop there. He charged forward, gripping Bokuto Toyako, now infused with Nen and dragon-slaying magic. He slashed repeatedly at CP0's body.

The earlier grenade explosions had likely weakened CP0's Armament Haki, as Ikki's sword strikes left visible marks on his body. However, thanks to his incredible recovery abilities, the wounds healed almost instantly.

But a true barrage didn't end so easily.

Another burst of wind magic sent CP0 flying.

Ikki unleashed a barrage of modern weaponry, explosions erupting all around. Then, as his final trump card, he pulled out something truly inhumane—a white phosphorus bomb.

White phosphorus ignites upon contact with oxygen, burning with yellow flames and producing thick, choking smoke. The combustion temperature can exceed 1,000 degrees Celsius, incinerating anything within its range.

The moment the white phosphorus bomb hit CP0, a violent scream tore through the air.

Panicking, he tried desperately to put out the flames, but they clung stubbornly to his skin, refusing to extinguish. He considered jumping into the sea but hesitated—he was a Devil Fruit user.

For an ordinary person, a direct hit from a white phosphorus bomb would mean instant death. But CP0, having an awakened Zoan Devil Fruit, possessed incredible recovery abilities. Ironically, this only prolonged his suffering.

Realizing the flames wouldn't go out, he made a desperate decision—he leaped into the sea, choosing death over the unbearable agony.

As he hit the water, white smoke and bubbles surfaced... then silence.

The remaining three CP0 agents, still being manhandled by the wrestlers, watched in horror.

The one who had just burned to death was the strongest among them.

If even he suffered such a miserable fate…

They had no hope of survival.

Their fears were justified. Kaido, seeing Ikki had finished off his opponent, turned his attention to the last three. Without hesitation, he swung his massive kanabo, bludgeoning them one by one until they were nothing more than bloody messes.

With that, the CP0 attack was completely dealt with.

At that moment, Rouge rushed to Ace, checking him for injuries.

"Don't worry, Mother, I'm fine," Ace reassured her with a smile.

Then, turning to Kaido, he greeted, "Kaido, long time no see!"

"Yeah! Long time no see!" Kaido replied.

But then, in his usual blunt manner, Kaido remarked, "We haven't seen each other in years… so why hasn't your strength improved at all?"

Ikki: ...

Ace: ...

From Kaido's perspective, it had been decades. But from Ace and Ikki's point of view, they had only seen him a few months ago.

Despite his harsh words, Kaido wasn't looking down on them.

"Listen, if you guys don't mind, you can join my Beast Pirates. I'll help you get stronger!" he offered.

Ikki waved his hand with a grin. "Nah, I think the next time we meet will be twenty years from now…"

Kaido didn't press further. He could tell these two were shrouded in mystery. But strength? That didn't concern him—after all, he was the strongest.

What truly mattered was that they were his saviors.

With the battle over, Kaido shifted into his dragon form and took off. He had many challenges awaiting him in the New World.

After he left, Ikki turned to Ace. "So? Did Rouge agree to come with us?"

Ace nodded. "She did."

He then explained how it happened.

Rather than persuading her, Ace simply shared his life story—his childhood, his bond with Luffy and Sabo, how Garp raised him as his own grandson… and even his complex feelings toward Roger.

After listening to the tale of Ace's twenty-year journey, Rouge made her decision.

She would follow Ace to the future.

Her reason was simple—she didn't want her son to lose something precious.

Not little Ace.

Not big Ace.
