----------------------------------
Riding atop the massive dragon that Kaido had transformed into, Ikki soared through the skies toward the first half of the Grand Line.
With the Rabbit Talisman's speed boost, Kaido was moving incredibly fast. However, speed came with its drawbacks—namely, Kaido had absolutely no sense of direction.
The destination was Baterilla Island in the South Blue… yet somehow, Kaido had veered all the way into the West Blue.
"Hey, hey, hey… Kaido, you're going the wrong way!"
Ikki shouted, patting the giant dragon's head.
Kaido blinked, floating midair in confusion. "Boss, give me the right direction then!"
Sighing, Ikki pulled out a compass. Since they were no longer on the Grand Line, the magnetic field wasn't chaotic, meaning he could use it to navigate properly.
Just as he pointed south, something below caught his attention—an island shrouded in smoke and ash.
Not far from the island, a small raft drifted on the sea. A little girl sat on it, crying as she rowed, occasionally glancing back at the land that had been reduced to scorched earth.
The moment Ikki saw her, he recognized her immediately—Nico Robin, as a child.
"So… this island must be O'Hara."
Behind Robin's raft, several Marine warships loomed. The lookout on one of the vessels had already spotted her and quickly reported it to the Vice Admiral on board.
Upon hearing the report, the Vice Admiral immediately ordered pursuit. The Buster Call on O'Hara left no survivors—that was the directive from the World Government.
The warships began closing in on Robin's small raft. Aokiji, who had secretly let her go earlier, clenched his fists as he watched, debating whether to intervene. But before he could act—
The sky suddenly darkened. A shadow loomed over the warships, and from within the clouds, an enormous dragon's head emerged.
"That's… Kaido?!"
Aokiji and several Marine officers instantly recognized the infamous New World pirate.
"Why is that monster in the West Blue?!"
"I have no idea…"
"All warships, disperse immediately!"
"Officers ranked Major and above, prepare for battle!"
Before the Marines could fully react, Kaido inhaled deeply, gathering a massive ball of fiery energy within his maw.
And then—
A devastating blast of dragon's breath engulfed the sea below. In an instant, several Marine warships were reduced to burning wreckage.
The remaining warships retaliated, as high-ranking Marine officers unleashed their Devil Fruit powers and powerful sword slashes toward the massive dragon.
But Kaido simply let out another two breath attacks before turning around and flying off.
Thanks to Kaido's intervention, Robin was able to escape without further pursuit. As her small raft disappeared into the horizon, her life as a fugitive truly began.
However, in the aftermath, the World Government needed to assign blame for the destruction of their ships. With no other explanation, they pinned it on Robin—further cementing her title as the Demon Child.
After inadvertently saving Robin, Ikki and Kaido resumed their journey, finally arriving over Baterilla Island.
Below them, the battle was still raging.
Now, another powerful fighter had joined the battlefield—Portgas D. Ace.
Ace, Captain America, and Kakashi were each holding their own against a CP0 agent.
As for the Wrestler, he was using his wrestling techniques to restrain three CP0 agents at once.
It wasn't that he didn't want to take on more—it was just that handling three was already pushing his limit.
CP0 agents were incredibly fast. Even if they were knocked down, they could immediately rejoin the battle.
In the past, the Wrestler had always fought one-on-one against Garp, or at most, faced Sengoku alongside him. Ikki had never noticed any weaknesses in his fighting style before, but now he realized—the Wrestler wasn't as effective in group battles.
Ace was overpowering his opponent, but his CP0 adversary was an Awakened Zoan Devil Fruit user. His insane recovery abilities made it impossible for Ace to finish him off quickly.
As for Captain America, he was struggling against his opponent. However, with the Ox Talisman Ikki had given him—boosting his strength to superhuman levels—he was barely managing to hold his own, forcing the battle into a stalemate.
Kakashi's CP0 opponent was also a Devil Fruit user, but Kakashi's endless ninjutsu and strategic prowess allowed him to completely suppress his foe. That said, defeating or killing him was proving difficult.
"Kaido, can you handle the CP0 down there?" Ikki asked.
Hearing this, Kaido smirked. "If they can even hurt me, I'll be impressed!"
With that, Kaido dropped straight from the sky—landing directly on the CP0 agent fighting Captain America.
BOOM!
Kaido's sheer weight and impact sent the CP0 agent flying like a ragdoll.
At the sudden arrival of the massive dragon, everyone on the battlefield momentarily froze—except for the Wrestler, who was still diligently throwing people around.
"Wait… that's Kaido of the Beasts Pirates! Why is he here?!" The CP0 agent fighting Ace looked completely stunned.
But Kaido wasn't the type to waste time with questions.
Digging his pinky into his ear as if this whole fight was beneath him, he casually pulled out his massive kanabo and—with a single swing—flattened the nearest CP0 agent.
Realizing the immediate danger, the remaining CP0 agents launched themselves into the air using Moonwalk, changing their target to Kaido.
It was clear—Kaido had arrived, attacked them without hesitation, and was definitely their enemy.
Seeing that Kaido was the ally Ikki had brought, Kakashi didn't hesitate. He instantly sent two of his clones to teleport near one of the airborne CP0 agents—grabbing onto him and restraining him in midair.
"Don't worry about my clones!" Kakashi shouted.
Kaido didn't need to be told twice. Without missing a beat, he swung his kanabo and unleashed a devastating Thunder Bagua directly into the CP0 agent's skull.
Even as a Zoan Awakening user, the CP0 agent wasn't going down so easily.
But Kaido wasn't finished.
His massive palm crackled with Haki as he delivered a second devastating attack—a Haki-infused strike directly to the CP0's torso.
With that single palm strike, the CP0 agent's bones and internal organs shattered. Even with Zoan-level regeneration, there was no recovering from that instantly. His body lurched in midair, and in the next moment—he was sent soaring into the sky, never to return.
In the span of seconds, two CP0 agents had been obliterated.
The remaining CP0s visibly panicked.
They knew who Kaido was.
The man was a literal monster.
Back when he was with the Rocks Pirates, he had already been famous. But after Rocks' death, without the suppression of the other legends around him, Kaido's strength had skyrocketed—turning him into a dominant force in the New World.
And now, that monster was standing against them.
