---------------
Roger's execution unfolded exactly as it had in the original timeline.
At the final moment, a voice rang out from the crowd.
Ask D. Question's voice rang out
"Where did you hide all the treasures you found? Was it in the Grand Line?"
"Did you really find it? The legendary secret treasure—"
Before the person could finish speaking, the Marines swiftly subdued him.
However, even though that individual was silenced, countless others in the crowd shared the same burning question.
After all, this was Gol D. Roger, the Pirate King. Did the One Piece really exist? And if so, where had he hidden it?
Every eye was locked onto Roger, waiting for him to speak his final words.
Roger smiled.
"Do you want my treasure? If you want it, I'll give it to you. Go find it! I've put all the wealth in the world there!"
—
Ikki could see it clearly—at the moment Roger spoke those words, the Marine higher-ups wanted to move. They wanted to stop him.
But no one could react fast enough under the sheer weight of Roger's Conqueror's Haki.
Even Garp, the only one who could have moved, chose not to. He simply stood still, blending into the frozen crowd around him.
By the time everyone snapped out of it, the executioner's blades had already pierced Roger's body.
"Damn it..."
Sengoku cursed under his breath before barking orders.
"Seal off Loguetown immediately! Not a single pirate is to leave!"
But Garp only shook his head.
"It's useless... This news can't be contained."
Sengoku clenched his fists. He had never been in favor of a public execution. Roger's surrender had always seemed too simple.
And yet, those arrogant fools in the World Government insisted on making a spectacle out of it, thinking they could crush the pirate era before it started.
And now…
They had done the exact opposite.
"The era of the great pirates… has begun."
—
The Marines moved quickly, trying to round up as many pirates as they could, but it was pointless.
The spark had already been lit.
Ikki knew it was time to leave.
He grabbed Ace by the arm.
"Let's go… Ace, if we don't move now, we won't be able to escape."
He still remembered—Garp was here. And while the old man had claimed he wouldn't fight them today… Ikki wouldn't put it past him to drag them back with his fist of love.
Ace didn't resist, but he also didn't move.
His expression, hidden beneath his mask, was unreadable.
The man he had hated for so long—his biological father—had just died before his eyes.
He thought he would feel calm. Maybe even relieved.
But… he didn't.
'Why… do I feel lost?'
Ace's fingers tightened for a moment before he snapped out of his thoughts.
The chaos surrounding them made one thing clear—they had to leave.
For Ikki and Ace, escaping was easy. A simple takeoff and acceleration, and they'd be gone. But the other pirates? They were in trouble. They still needed to set sail, and with the Marines clamping down on the town, their chances of escape were slim.
Ninety percent of the pirates who had gathered for the spectacle were captured. The only ones who managed to slip away were the future legends—Shanks, Mihawk, Crocodile, and the others.
As they soared away from Loguetown, Ikki instinctively glanced back, half-expecting a certain fist-happy old man to be on their tail.
But to his relief, Garp was still busy rounding up other pirates, paying them no mind.
Letting out a sigh, Ikki turned his gaze forward and continued flying toward the South Blue.
Gol D. Roger had been executed.
His final words had shaken the world, and just like that… the Great Pirate Era began.
And in the eyes of the world, One Piece became synonymous with the greatest villain, the man who had unleashed this new age of lawlessness.
But Roger's execution wasn't the end of the story.
The World Government knew they had made a mistake by allowing Roger to speak. But rather than take responsibility, they pinned the blame entirely on the Marines.
While the government was busy shifting accountability, their intelligence agency, CP0, was already piecing together Roger's final movements before his surrender.
Mariejois – Five Elders' Conference Hall
The room was silent as the Five Elders reviewed the latest intelligence report.
Roger had spent an entire year on Baterilla Island.
That alone was suspicious.
If Roger had been there for so long, there was a high chance he had left something behind.
Logically speaking, a single child wouldn't matter in the grand scheme of things. The so-called "sinful bloodline" was just a label the government had slapped on Roger.
And as for the lineage theory… well, one only had to look at the pathetic excuse for rulers among the Celestial Dragons to know that bloodline alone didn't amount to much.
But even so, the Five Elders made a firm decision.
They had been humiliated.
Roger had tricked them with his final words, shaking the world before their very eyes.
It didn't matter if he had children or not—they would erase all traces of his existence.
"Deploy CP and the Marines to Baterilla Island," one of the Elders ordered coldly. "Execute all pregnant women. We cannot afford to take any risks."
We'd rather kill the innocent than let one slip through the cracks.
—
CP quickly mobilized, but the Marine forces…
The order left a bitter taste in their mouths.
They were soldiers, not butchers. They didn't want to be responsible for such a massacre.
But orders were orders.
A heavy silence filled the war room.
Finally, Sengoku broke it.
"If no one else will do it… I will."
It wasn't that he agreed with the order. But if he went, he might be able to save some of them.
CP would carry out the purge without question, but the Marines… they had some leeway.
Just as he was about to finalize the deployment, Garp stepped forward.
"Sengoku, you better sit this one out," Garp said firmly. "You're about to become Fleet Admiral. You can't afford to get involved in something like this."
Sengoku frowned. "Then who do you suggest go instead?"
Garp gave him a meaningful look.
Sengoku hesitated. At first, he wanted to refuse.
But seeing the unusually serious look in Garp's eyes… he understood.
Garp had his own reasons for wanting to go.
With a heavy sigh, Sengoku relented.
"Fine. But Garp—"
Before he could finish, Garp tossed him a bag of rice crackers.
"If I screw this up…" Garp started.
Sengoku cut him off.
"Don't say something stupid. We're in this together."
Meanwhile…
After returning to Baterilla Island, Ikki and Ace resumed their quiet life—running an oyster business.
But this time… they weren't alone.
Joining them was a certain patriotic tight-wearing captain—oh, no, wait… Captain America, Steve Rogers.
And alongside him? A certain lazy-eyed, porn-loving ninja—Hatake Kakashi.
