Nicolas was eight years old when he first practised his magic with McGonagall. This has been their routine ever since Nicolas was four and first started to show signs of accidental magic. Mcgonagall thought it would be best if she taught Nicolas how to use his magic and learn what It means to be a true wizard. McGonagall always believed in doing what was right, and that was one of the many things Nicolas developed from her and the Gryffindor pride he held with him. When he and McGonagall walk the streets of the wizarding world. They always look at him with fear or disgust, but with the help of McGonagall, he learned to keep his head high and never let them get him down.
Nicolas also knew about who his grandfather was while reading in the library in the cottage and after a long conversation with McGonagall, he finally learned who he really is and tells her that no matter what his bloodline was tied to she was his family as she's raised him and fed him also made sure he was clothed and washed. To Nicolas, McGonagall was like a mother or grandmother in one as she cared like a mother but had her grandmotherly wisdom with her and knowing he's been on the waiting list for Hogwarts since he was in place in McGonagall's care Nicolas was determined more than ever on his private studies with domboldor when McGonagall had to go to Hogwarts to teach the future generations of witches and wizards.
Nicolas was now eleven years old and had already received his Hogwarts letter. He was waiting in mcgonagall's office as she spoke to him "Oh I don't know why Albus had still asked me to do this knowing this is the year you'll be attending Hogwarts as well" she stressed to him as they sat across each other at her desk with him eating on one of her biscuits as he finished what was in his mouth before he spoke "if you take me with one of them it could help" he suggested to her as she thought for a second and scanned the list "I can take you when I take this Granger girl she's first on my list and I'm sure with you there it might make it easier for them" she added with a smooth smile "great now that is sorted I'm going to vist hagrid and see if he needs any help" he said getting up from his seat before mcgonagall spoke "could you let hagrid know that the headmaster wants to see him and he would like to see you aswell Nicolas" she told him as he was leaving "okay will do I'll see you at home" he waved to her as he left.
Nicolas knew about Ablus and the stone but didn't think he was actually going to go through with it. He thought his idea at Gringots was an excellent plan.
But he had to push these thoughts away till he found out what Dumbledore really wanted. he made his way out of the castle and towards Hagrid's hut. Hagrid was a half-breed giant who happened to also be the gatekeeper at Hogwarts; Nicolas and Hagrid were close, especially with their love for magical creatures and their growing dream of owning a dragon. Nicolas met Hagrid when he first came to Hogwarts at eight years old.
Nicolas can still remember that day when Hagrid had to save him because he ventured into the forbidden forest and fell into a ditch. Hagrid was passing by at the time when he heard Nicolas cry for help and went to see who was stuck. When he saw Nicolas, he knew instantly who he was and helped him on their way back to Hogwarts. They became fast friends, with Nicolas asking Hagrid all sorts of questions about magical Beasts and about himself. Hagrid liked Nicolas's visits when he came to Hogwarts to see McGonagall. He and Nicolas would talk for hours, and Hagrid also showed him many of the magical creatures on the Hogwarts grounds. Fagg also loved Nicolas as he always had a treat or two for the dog.
Nicolas reached the hut and knocked on the large door waiting for an answer when the door opened revealing Hagrid he smiled "Nicolas what brought you by" he asked "Headmaster Dumbledor would like to see us hagrid" he told him as they both went back towards Hogwarts "do you have any idea when it could be about" hagrid asked Nicolas "I have two one is about the stone or the second is about you know who" he said to hagrid and he watch the giant shiver before he spoke "I hope its the first and not the second" hagrid spoke and Nicolas nodded in agreement. They both made their way into the grounds of Hogwarts when Hagrid spoke to Nicolas once more. "You excited about starting your time here at Hogwarts?" Hagrid asked. "I am, but I expect when my name gets out, no good would come from it" Nicolas told him truthfully.
He had known Hagrid for many years now and Hagrid knew what his name meant but that never stopped the giant from being kind to the boy and nodded his head before speaking "Don't worry about that Nicolas I bet when they hear your name you'll make the entrance you always have to make" hagrid told him with a smile he knew this boy to well Nicolas was an amazing wizard truly griffted with magic and learned wandless magic before even becoming a student was something hagrid always respected about Nicolas was the boy's determination to magic. They reached the headmaster's office, and Nicolas spoke the password to the Gryffin statue l "Lemon drops", he told it, for it to slide and move out of the way as Nicolas stepped aside for Hagrid. "After you", he told him as he and Hagrid walked up towards the headmaster's office.
When they both arrived in the office they was meet with the headmaster domboldor sitting at his desk smiling at them both "ah hagrid, Nicolas just the very people I wanted to see" domboldor greeted them "please take a seat" he told them both as they walked towards him hagrid spoke first as he stood before the desk with Nicolas deciding to sit down "headmaster domboldor what seems to be the problem" hagrid asked distressed "relax hagrid every think is just fine I just wish for a favor from you both if that is alright" domboldor spoke "what is it domboldor" hagrid asked first as Nicolas just sat and listened one thing mcgonagall could never change about Nicolas was that he was impatient as much rather someone get straight to the point "hagrid I need you to recover the stone and bring it to me and also to get Mr Potter and bring him to kingcross station where he'll meet up with Nicolas who take him to hogwarts" albus explain "Nicolas it's your task to keep an, eye out for anything suspicious this year as I suspect something might happen in these following years to come" domboldor explained to them both "very well headmaster if you have spoken with mcgonagall and she's given you the okay then I'll be more them fine with it however I do have some things I wanna bring up about when I start" Nicolas asked the headmaster "would there be anywhere I could train if possible aswell I would like access to the risticted section as I'll show the books I wanna read to mcgonagall or yourself before hand" Nicolas asked he's a believer in no magic being good or bad only the intentions behind the casting that makes it such.
Dumbledore thought for a moment and then spoke, "I'll have to ask McGonagall first, but I'm sure we can come up with something for you if not", he spoke to the boy as they looked at each other. Nicolas agreed before leaving to return to his and McGonagall's cottage. He knows this place as home to everyone else. It might look like nothing, but for him and Mcgonagall, it was home. The memories they have shared together here were more than everything to Nicolas. He may have never known his real parents, but Mcgonagall was more than enough for him. He walked into the library in the cottage and continued his research on Animagus forms. He wanted to be able to reach this before his third year.
