While she tried to hug me, I immediately pushed her away due to what happened between me and her back in the Demon Kings throne room.
"Why are you here River?" I said while staring at her coldly.
She tilted her head to left as if confused as she backed off from the hug.
"Well, I'm here to see my fiance!" She responded.
That's when It hit me. The time I'm currently in is around five years prior to the events of the Demon Kings Castle. I wished I was born back when I was little, so I could've trained more and be more powerful. I need to null the marriage I have with River. That's the only thing I can do at the moment to get back at her.
"River, I want to discuss with you about something very important." I said to her.
"Alright, Lucius. What is it you want to discuss about?" She asked in curiosity.
"I want to cancel our engagement." I said to her bluntly.
As soon as I said those words to her, I saw her facial expression falling into a state of depression. I stood up from my bed and walked towards my drawer that had all of my stuff. I grabbed the already ready bag of clothes and stuffed my other stuff into it. I then grabbed a bag of gold coins that I earned from adventuring over the course of 5 years.
I then threw the bag towards her hands. She looked down towards her hands as the bag fell into them.
"This is my compensation for marrying into your family. Let the lord lead you into the path to the one you'll truly love." I said while I left the room.
Despite my body saying I should've given her an explanation to why I did that. I didn't care about it. I shoved the thought behind me and exited the home. I then went out back and grabbed the weapons I've made to battle monsters in the forests and dungeons. After doing that, I went out the property I onced called home and went off to the guild to look for someone to bring me to the capital.
I walked on top the rock filled road as I walked through the town. Many bystanders looked at me in admiration as I was known to help people in need. While on my way to the guild, I was stopped by a group of kids.
"Hey, Mister. I want to grow strong as you. How ccan I train to become someone like you???" Asked the little boy in curiosity.
""Yeah, how can I be like you"" said the rest of the kids in unison.
I thought for a moment before answering.
"You just need to follow your heart and practice a lot. That's how I became the person that I am." I said to the kids while I patted the head off one of them.
"Now, go back to your parents. They might get to worried if you stay out for too long." I said to them.
They giggled before running back towards the direction of their homes.
After that little interaction, I continued on my walk to the guild.

I arrived towards the guild. It was a large stone building that had a similar structure to a cathedral. I opened the door and went towards a receptionist. The guild had many tables set all over the place and had books for adventurers to read for more information regarding to the monsters known.
I stopped and waited behind a line that was near the reception. Around 20 minutes passed before I was able to get my turn.
"Hello, Arthur. How can I help you today?" Asked the female receptionist.
I handed her a piece of paper regarding the payment to my request.
"I wanted to know if their were anyone currently able to bring me to the capital." I said to her.
The held up a finger before getting a stack of papers that would answer my question. She read through some of the papers and found one that was related to my request.
"So, I have mission regarding to protecting carriage of someone that's going to the capital. Would you like to part of that?" She asked as her handed me the paper that mentioned the mission.
I took the paper from her hands and checked to see the details on it. It was just a regular guarding mission. I just needed to protect the carriage from anything and I would receive a get sum of compensation.
I thought about it for a minute before responding.
"Hmm, I think I would like to take the mission. Just tell me where to find the guy that needs the protection." I said to her while handing back the paper.
She took the paper out of my hands and stamped it with it saying mission taken. She then looked at me while giving the next pieces of information.
"He's near the entrance of the town. He's currently waiting for the other adventurers that took the job also." She said.
I shook my head as she spoke.
"Alright, I'll go to the man right now since he's waiting. Well, I'll see you some day Lauren. Goodbye." I said while I walked away.
I waved towards her and she waved back. I went through the door and walked towards the direction towards the entrance of the town. There I saw a man who was checking if his things were in order.
I walked towards the man and tapped his shoulder.
"Hmm, are you one of the adventurers that have accepted my request?" He asked as he turned to face me.
"Yes, I needed to go to the capital any ways. I just have one question for you. Which route are you going to take to the capital?" I asked him.
He responded to my question immediately as I said it.
"We'll be taking the fastest route to get to the capital, which involves us going through territory that have lots of bandits." He responded.
I shook my head and dropped my stuff inside the carriage. Afterwards, I helped the man to fix up his carriage. Before long, two other adventurers that have accepted the mission have arrived to the carriage.
The man and the adventurers began talking to each other. While they were doing that I went inside the carriage and sat down. As I sat down, something appeared in front of my face.

"Well I don't feel any imdiffere- AHHHH!" I yelled as I muffled my voice.
I tried my best to not attract the attention of the rest of the crew that was outside. I almost fell unconscious when I did.
I took my arm off of my mouth and started to breath heavily. I saw my teeth marks on the sleeve of my shirt. I looked out towards the small gap that looked towards the rest of the group. They finally finished doing what they were talking about and were now heading towards the carriage.
The two other people that took the mission were talking as they came towards and entered the carriage. I really didn't care for their conversation but I still listened to it as it may give me on some insight about what year it actually was.
As they say down across from me, they began talking to me.
"What's your name?" Asked the male.
"Isn't it the one who starts the conversation, that should say their name first." I said to him.
The man face turned into an apologetic and corrected himself.
"Sorry, I should've introduced myself. The names Tristan. My friend here name is Michelle. What's your name sir?" He responded.
"The names Arthur. Arthur Pendragon. Nice to meet you both." I said to the both of them.
"Oh, so you're named after the legend King Arthur." Said Michelle.
"Yes, my father was a fanatic towards the legends of King Arthur. So he named me after Arthur despite my mother refusing to call me that." I said to her.
"Well, that's quite the tale." Said Tristan.
"Yes, it is quite the tale. But that aside, why did you chose to take on this mission?" I asked them.
Both Michelle and Tristan looked at each other before responding to my question.
"We need the money to buy a house in the capital. We didn't have enough for it so we took on this quest. The money we would earn doing this should get us just enough for the house we wanted." Tristan responded.
I shook my head in understanding. Immediately as they finished talking the man that sent out the request spoke to us as he began making the carriage move.
"It'll probably take around two days to arrive to the capital. So relax for now, but be alert for any bandits that may appear on the way." He said as he began making the horses move forward.
I took a random sheet out of my bag and covered myself with it. I made myself into a burrito with the sheet. I then spoke to Michelle and Tristan.
"I'm going to sleep. If anything happens just wake me up from my sleep." I said to them.
They nodded in confirmation. As soon as I saw that, I closed my tired eyes and fell asleep.

Before I was even Able to react to what the system said, it froze the time in my world and sent me to the kne it mentioned.

"Jeanne d'Arc. I remember her. My father once told me her story. A tragic fate in the end but still held onto the beliefs of God despite being claimed as a heretic. I shall save you from that fate." I said as I was teleported into a forest.
I looked at my surroundings and noticed there was smoke coming from the north of where I was. Before I was even able to react, I sprinted towards the direction of the smoke. The wind going through my black hair. While I ran, information suddenly went into my head.
My name here in this time, is still the same. But the difference is that I know Jeanne and am her childhood friend.
The trees in my way were cut down by the sword I had on my hilt to my left. I ran and ran till I got back to the village.
'Wait.... How did I know it was the village that was on fire. It must be the memories that was transferred into my brain.' I thought to myself.
I drew closer to the village and saw that everyone in the village killed and the very women here we about to get raped by the British men. I held a better grip into my hand and began the first battle that I would have in this world.
