Chapter 4 - character card

Character Card: Veyron / Rowan (Same Individual)

Identities:

True identity: Veyron — original person whose consciousness was overtaken (from first chapter body-swap style)

Public identity: Rowan — fabricated identity as Veyron's son and heir, created through fake legal documentation for disguise and social legitimacy

Both exist as one person, using the alias Rowan to operate publicly while Veyron controls the legacy.

Physical Description:

Former appearance (Veyron): Overweight, middle-aged bookstore owner before transformation.

Current True form: Tall (rivaling Gotham's tallest men), imposing muscular build, fiery red hair flowing over shoulders, glowing faint crimson eyes, sharp vampiric teeth.

Rowan persona: Regal, authoritative, physically striking (same body as Veyron's transformed self), wears tailored suits fitting vampiric nobility.

Backstory:

Kenji, an ordinary man from the modern world, is transported by unknown means (initial mosquito bite/dengue fever) into the body of Veyron, a 1925 Gotham bookstore owner, whose family is fallen and obscure.

Veyron's consciousness is merged with or overwritten by Kenji's modern mind; memories and powers from vampiric and alien origins awaken.

After a vampiric attack, Veyron gains new powers and discovers hidden alien tech and supernatural legacies in Gotham before Batman.

To avoid suspicion of his transformation and sudden return, Veyron fakes his own death and creates the alias "Rowan," a "son" with legal inheritance to cover his changes.

Rowan begins establishing power and influence in Gotham, using both supernatural powers and alien technology.

Powers & Abilities:

1. Vampiric Attributes:

Enhanced physicality: Strength, speed, endurance greater than normal humans (evident in his imposing stature).

Hypnotic influence: Can bend minds with vampiric will—capable of verbal commands that compel others to obey short-term or implant false memories with intense focus and eye contact.

Sensory enhancements: Heightened awareness, able to sense and exploit weaknesses.

Weakness to sunlight: Not immediately fatal but causes intense burning like boiling oil on exposed skin.

Bloodlust and predatory nature tempered by Veyron's own will.

2. Alien Technology Integration:

Possesses a silver ring etched with winged serpents that acts as a key to an alien ship hidden beneath the bookstore.

Access to advanced alien tech, including weapons and repair systems (AE-09 "Bee" ship AI assists in maintenance and engineering).

The alien ship's technologies allow a fusion of supernatural and scientific power, potentially granting regenerative, energy-based, or technological enhancements yet to be fully explored.

The ship and ring represent a vast dormant power "coiled in his marrow" — suggesting an inner cosmic legacy beyond typical vampirism.

3. Social and Tactical Abilities:

Master manipulator and strategist, blending charm with supernatural influence.

Uses carefully crafted identity (Rowan) and social engineering to control Gotham's elite and political structure, including hypnotically influencing the mayor to transfer land and funds.

Established LuxeTech as a front for his ambitions, exploiting urban renewal funds and industry dominance.

Skilled in legal and social deception by fabricating son's identity and records.

Key Relationships & Other Characters Introduced:

Kenji: Original modern man whose consciousness entered Veyron's body, providing a unique perspective and modern mindset.

Fredrick: Trusted associate and executor of Veyron/Rowan's legal affairs, helps fabricate records and manage legacy.

Rowan (the alias): The fake "son," actually the same person as Veyron with a new identity to mask transformation.

Thomas and Martha Wayne: Gotham's philanthropic couple; interaction suggests future alliances or thematic references tied to Gotham's legendary families.

Gotham Mayor: A figure hypnotically influenced and manipulated by Rowan to gain significant political and financial control.

Vampires: Original attackers that triggered Veyron's full transformation, but who were destroyed by a mysterious inner power.

How He Got His Power:

The vampiric attack awakened latent vampiric abilities and merged alien bloodline power tied to a cosmic legacy reflected in the silver ring and alien ship beneath the bookstore.

This fusion granted him supernatural strength, mind control, and access to advanced alien technology,

His transformation also altered his physical appearance dramatically, requiring creation of a new identity to avoid detection.

His powers are powerful but have limits (e.g., sunlight weakness, hypnosis requiring focus and rest, highly uv rays)
