The next morning Miyona woke up with sunrise, despite it being Sunday and she being able to sleep in, which she normally fully used.
For a moment she lay in her bed completely silent, listening to any kind of noise in the room, but there was nothing besides the regular, quiet breaths of the girls.
Haruka and Sakuya were still sleeping deeply.
I shouldn't wake them up, Miyona thought.
Careful not to make a sound, she rose from her bed and quietly climbed down the ladder on the side of the bed.
Then, she tiptoed to the shelf and took out some stationary paper, an envelope, a stamp and her deep-blue fountain pen, which was decorated with a delicate semmeing but surprisingly sturdy silver chain holding a small shell at one end.
The fountain pen had been a goodbye present from her family then she left to attend the academy.
Holding everything in one hand, she opened the door and slipped out of the room on the tips of her toe, still wearing her blue Pyjamas.
Then, she sat down at one of the tables across the room.
She laid down the paper in front of her and took off the coif of the fountain pen.
For a moment, she just held it in midair, then started writing the letter to her parents, with her lips she silently forming the words she wrote down on the paper infront of her.
She wrote about the day Sakuya woke up, how they had become friends, how they went to town yesterday.
How happy Miyona had felt during theier visit and how much fun it had been.
She wrote how the best thing had been Sakuyas expression then she first saw the shopping center.
It was completely baffled at first, her mouth gaped open, then her eyes had started glowing brightly with curiosity, making her seem as if she wanted to run around exploring it right away.
Sakuya had looked both funny and cute in that moment.
Miyona had felt a bit like a mother taking her little daughter on a visit to town for the first time.
Somehow, she had been proud at Sakuya, for every small thing she managed to do by herself, she had been happy, whenever Sakuya smiled brightly and everytime Sakuya had bursted into laughter because of something Miyona or Haruka had said or done.
Even just the thought made Miyona chuckle.
It took her until the end of sunrise to write down everything and in the end the letter had a full six pages.
After reading through it one last time, she put it into the envelope on which she wrote the address of her parents back in her hometown.
At last she sticked the stamp on it.
Later today she would give it to the dorm head who sended all the letters written by the students out every Wednesday.
Only after having finished everything, did she go back to her room.
In there, a sleepy Sakuya, who had just woken up, greeted her.
She looks so cute, Miyona thought, looking at Sakuya, who's eyes were still half-closed while she already sat in her bed, with her hair slightly ruffled.
"Good Morning.", Miyona said, befor quickly slipping into the bathroom to wash up.
Sakuya followed her and not long after even Haruka, who was a very deep and long sleeper, woke up.
🌸
Sakuya, who was much more awake after having washed up, was wearing the same outfit as the day before, her hair braided, as hse walked over to her two friends.
"U-uhm, would it be alright if I made breakfast?", she then asked Haruka and Miyona timidly, as the three girls stood together for a moment.
She was not sure if they had some kind of plan and she didn't want to mess up, but the other two agreed happily.
With a smile, she stood up and started cooking.
Luckily she found all of the needed ingredients in the fridge.
While cutting the tofu, her hands stopped for a moment.
How do I even know how to cook?, she wondered.
It's true, that Miss Kukio had mentioned, that her memory's might partly return, thenever she did something she had done befor or was used to do.
So I knew how to cook, Sakuya thought, a smile appearing on her face.
She was happy to have learned something new about herself, even if it was only something trivial like this.
But ever since she found out that all of her memorys were gone, she felt like wandering in an endless darkness, making her grasp after straws.
At first she had considered telling her two friends about her feelings, but she didn't want them to worry.
Moreover, just spending time with them freely made her feel really happy, so she didn't want to destroy this atmosphere of friendship and ease, leading to her keeping it a secret from them.
"Sakuya? Is everything alright?", Mioyna, who had been reading a book asked her, looking a bit worried at her.
With a bright smile on her face, Sakuya responded:" Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for worrying."
Then she continued cooking, glad to see the worry disappear from Miyonas face again, leaving it filled with calmness.
Not long after a warm Miso soup was simmering on the stove and delicious fragrances of fried salmon and rice, cooked in the rice cooker, filled the room.
There also was some pickled daikon that she served the other two girls together with the rest of the food.
Haruka was literally drooling, as she saw the finished food standing on the table in front of her.
I hope they will like it, Sakuya thought.
Then she also sat down at the table in the middle of the room.
The girls clapped her hands together and said:" Itadakimasu!" simultaneously, before each took her chopsticks and started eating.
The food tasted wonderful and Miyona and Haruka quickly asked for second servings.
Filled with cheerful chatter and laughter, the breakfast continued, on this beautiful Sunday in spring.
After eating, they washed the dishes together before sitting back down on the table.
Miyona and Haruka had decided to teach Sakuya at least a part of the things they were currently doing in school beforehand, so that she would be able to catch up with the rest of the class.
Because of that, they took out theier schoolbooks and started with Math first, then History, then Japanese.
It turned out that Sakuya was not only a quick learner but also had some of the knowledge flowing back to her thenever she read or heard about it.
Sadly, it was only normal stuff anyone would have learned in school, so they couldn't figure out anything about her identity or origin just from that.
In the blink of an eye the first half of the day passed by, with them doing schoolwork.
For lunch, Sakuya was asked to cook again and she made some simple fried udon, which still tasted wonderful.
The whole day, the three girls needed to laugh a lot and had fun, despite doing boring schoolwork as well.
During the afternoon, they went for a short walk, during which Miyona and Haruka showed Sakuya another part of the schoolground, including the sportsfield and sportshall, the dormitorys, the way to the schoolbuilding and some others.
At the end of the day, they studied a bit more again, ate a delicious dinner and packed their schoolbags for the next day.
In the evening all three girls took a shower.
After Sakuya came out of the shower, Haruka went in.
Miyona, who was already finished, was sitting on her bed.
"You haven't dried your habitat all!", she scolded Sakuya, whose hair really was still dripping wet.
"Come here.", she said then, climbed down from her own bed and sat down on the pillows next to the table.
Sakuya sat down in front of her.
Miyona took the towel, Sakuya had just hurriedly put over her hair, while walking out of the shower.
Her friend started rubbing her hair to dry it.
How comfortable, Sakuya thought and a smile appeared on her face.
Only after her hair was mostly dried, did allow Miyona her to go to bed.
"Goodnight.", Sakuya said to Miyona, before climbing up the ladder to her bed.
Filled with warmt and happiness she layed down on it right away.
I'm so happy, she thought, before she fell asleep from exhaustion, a smile still lingering on her face.

Miyona, having seen Sakuya fall asleep right away, needed to smile.
In her hand she still held the towel she had used to dry Sakuyas hair.
She is like a cute little child, Myiona thought, needing to chuckle a bit.
Then, she partly hid her mouth beneath her hand as she remembered Sakuya sitting in front of her, her head slightly bowed, and her delicate white neck exposed.
Her skin was like clear white jade, Miyona suddenly noticed, now feeling a bit embrassed, despite not knowing why.
In that moment Haruka came out of the bathroom.
"What's wrong?", she asked Miyona, a bit puzzled to see her friend standing in the middle of the room, a towel in one hand, half her face hidden behind her other.
"Nothing. I just thought that Sakuya is a bit like a child, falling asleep right away.", Miyona answered her friend, while shaking her head a bit, keeping the part about Sakuya being cute her secret.
For a moment Haruka remained silent, just looking at Miyona, then she needed to chuckle a bit as well, turning her head to Sakuyas bed, from which one could already hear steady breathing, showing that the other girl had already fallen asleep only seconds after getting into her bed.
"Your right. She really is.", Haruka agreed to the words.
The two of them looked at the third girl a moment, both having smiles on her face, the kind a parent has then looking at theier child, before also going to bed and turning off the lights as well.
