The personnel on site were all dumbfounded. Only Naruto lightly flicked his clothes, avoiding the flour paste from sticking, his blond hair swaying, coupled with those blue eyes, bearing quite a resemblance to his stepfather's style though his clothes seemed a bit off.
During the Third Great Ninja War, the Fourth Raikage once fought the A-B brothers of the Hidden Cloud Village, resulting in a stalemate.
The Fourth Raikage achieved a stalemate, but Naruto was different. He knew the Raikage's weakness: the Adamantine Sealing Chains countered Tailed Beasts. Combined with his precognitive ability, if he handled it properly, he could hold these two back.
Unfortunately, the Raikage didn't give him the chance.
The Raikage looked up at the sky. Those four great mountains felt like they were pressing down on his heart. "Bee, take the men."
"Oh." Killer B replied, waving to signal the nearby Cloud Ninjas to follow him.
Watching Killer B leave, the Raikage turned his head to look at the two broken flour-balls. He had intended a swift, fatal strike relying on their synchronized attack, but his secret technique was thwarted by the flour paste. The Raikage couldn't understand why, but he had no time to ponder. He asked, "Brat, how many more do you have?"
If Naruto kept throwing them, even with two Tailed Beasts and a thousand people channeling chakra, the Chakra Cannon wouldn't be able to bear it. This cannon, from its inception, was designed for a single decisive blow and never accounted for consecutive firing.
Naruto chuckled lightly. "Guess?"
The Fourth Raikage increased the output power of his armor. "No matter. As long as I kill the main body, you won't be able to throw any more, will you?"
Naruto spread his hands, forming two azure Rasengans, controlling the orbs to orbit around him. Naruto then formed two more, staring at the Raikage. "You can try!"
Unfortunately, no one replied to him. As soon as the orbs appeared, Kakashi stepped back two paces. He then recalled what Jiraiya had said: seeing is believing. Only after witnessing it did he truly understand its terror. Thinking of the original purpose of this jutsu's creation, Kakashi felt a bit speechless. Could this even be considered medical ninjutsu?
The Raikage didn't retreat; he merely adopted a wary stance. His primal instinct hammered like a bell, telling him: this move... is very dangerous.
"Big words!" Before his words fully landed, he was already in front of Naruto, hand shaped into a blade, slashing at his neck. But what awaited his strike was a Kusanagi Sword that appeared precisely when needed.
His left hand blocked the left side, while his right hand held a sword upright at his chest, because the Raikage's next punch was aimed there. The two swords weren't wide, but they were sufficient to block the Raikage's immensely powerful attack.
Two centimeters from the sword blade, the Raikage chose to retract his hand and change his move. Although the Raikage didn't understand how the flour paste could block him, he wasn't an ignorant person.
Few attacks in the ninja world could pierce his Lightning Release Armor, but these two Kusanagi Swords were definitely among them. If he hadn't stopped, Naruto might have sustained some injury, but both of his arms would have broken.
As he moved to change his technique, Naruto controlled the floating Rasengan to push towards his forehead.
The Raikage slightly tilted his head. The Rasengan grazed his Lightning Release Armor, sparking with electricity. He clenched his hand into a fist and hammered it towards Naruto's chest.
The Raikage's punch was heavy. A single hit would cause at least 200 to 300cc of blood loss. That much blood would be better donated to the Konoha Hospital, so Naruto didn't take it head-on. He used one sword to block laterally, and the other to slash at the Raikage's elbow.
With this defense, even if the sword eventually struck his own shoulder, he could still take one of the Raikage's arms.
Kakashi frowned from the side. Ever since the fight with Zabuza, Naruto's combat style had troubled him. Whenever he encountered a strong enemy, it was always a rough, injury-for-injury approach, sometimes even trading severe injury for injury.
I know you recover quickly, but this isn't how ninjas fight. Your fighting style makes me, Iruka, and Jiraiya all lose face.
The Raikage also frowned. No wonder Darui was injured; this brat was truly strange.
He retracted his hand, making a probing counter-attack.
Naruto, however, had long anticipated it. The sword blade twisted, stabbing towards his left. He controlled the Rasengan behind the Raikage to return, and at the same time, another Rasengan emerged from between his legs, flying towards the Raikage's abdomen.
Several moves were impossible to take head-on, locking down his movements. The Raikage could only jump into the air to evade.
"Shoot him dead, Divine Spear." Silently muttering a chuunibyou phrase, Naruto's hand rested on the sword hilt, activating a secret technique. The Kusanagi Sword in his hand instantly elongated, piercing directly towards the Raikage's kidney.
"What a pity." He lamented inwardly. The moment he unleashed the attack, he had already used his fear perception to predict the Raikage's evasion method. Considering the current length and stress on the Kusanagi Sword, his wrist wouldn't be able to handle it, so he let go of the sword.
In mid-air, the Raikage twisted his waist, dodging the attack, and then kicked the sword blade.
The dozen-meter-long Kusanagi Sword was kicked, changing direction in mid-air, splitting directly towards Kakashi, who was observing the battle. Just as Kakashi was about to dodge, a spider web suddenly wrapped around the sword hilt, pulling the sword to spin a few times, dissipating its force, and returning it to Naruto's hand.
The Raikage landed, looking at Naruto. In just a few probes, he had discovered Naruto's uniqueness. No matter how powerful one's perception, it couldn't allow one to prepare defensive movements the moment he intended to attack. Excluding all impossibilities, no matter how unwilling he was to believe it, it was the truth. The Raikage asked incredulously, "Brat, can you predict?"
Naruto remained silent. His only answer was the familiar digital sound echoing throughout Hidden Cloud Village: "4399…"
Still the same old saying: it's fine not to talk during a fight, but there must be background music.
Naruto's silence struck the Raikage as normal. After all, unless one had a brain illness, no one would explain their abilities to an enemy. Glancing at the four large red dots in the sky, the Raikage fully channeled his chakra.
His ultimate Lightning Release Armor activated, crackling electric sparks intermittently danced across the armor, like the firecrackers Naruto played with as a child.
The Raikage's short hair stood on end like a Super Saiyan's, his eyes wide like a bull's. "Even if you can predict, let's see if you can dodge this!!!"
"Swish…"
In a blink, the Raikage enveloped Naruto's entire vision, unleashing a punch.
"Rip…" The sound of tearing clothes made Kakashi's eyes widen. The Raikage was actually this strong; his Sharingan could only see a black blur. But seeing Naruto's still intact undershirt, he finally relaxed.
This inhuman reaction speed, indeed, there's some inheritance there.
The attack was effective, but one torn shirt was not enough to satisfy the Raikage. He changed his fist into a claw, then pulled back for a scoop.
Naruto dodged and counter-attacked.
Pitter-patter, bang-da-la-bang-da…
That intense taijutsu exchange greatly benefited Kakashi, leaving him with many thoughts. In such a short time, this child had transformed from one who, even with two people cooperating, couldn't be touched by him, to being able to directly confront the Raikage. He wondered about the other one…
As he was thinking, a purple light of teleportation suddenly flared beside him.
"Kakashi-sensei…" Before he could fully materialize and finish his sentence, Sasuke heard the sound and looked at the combatants, instantly activating his Sharingan. "This is… they're actually this strong?"
Even with both eyes open, concentrating fully, there were still some movements he couldn't quite see. This speed it had to be a joke.
"Fourth Raikage." Kakashi replied, looking at Naruto. You're giving him too much special training.
"Oh." Sasuke didn't take his eyes off them. The clone hadn't said anything before, but now he knew Naruto's intention in bringing him here.
The black dots in the sky gradually turned red and grew larger. In just two minutes, Naruto exchanged hundreds of blows with the Raikage within a one-meter radius. Although it looked like he was showing off, acting like an immovable mountain, he was actually being suppressed in place by the Raikage, finding it difficult to move.
The result of the confrontation was still a draw. They had fought for so long with no injuries sustained by either side. The Raikage couldn't hit Naruto, at most tearing his clothes. Naruto also couldn't hit the Raikage; he was too fast. Even knowing where he would strike, by the time Naruto attacked, he had already retreated.
"All you do is dodge and weave!!" The Raikage had a good physique. After two minutes of intense assault, he was still full of vigor. He retreated to the side to gather his thoughts, then scoffed.
Naruto still didn't speak. He tore off his broken clothes, pulled a scroll from his pocket, unrolled it, took out a new one, and put it on.
The Raikage stared, dumbfounded. You love that shirt so much? Wait, why are you wearing Akatsuki clothes?
Could it be that he's connected to that organization…
Only now did the Raikage notice Naruto's clothes. But the large, squared-off mountains in the sky gave him no time to ponder further. He leapt up for a powerful overhead chop. "Righteous Lightning: Sinking Fury Thunder Axe!"
Since close combat yielded no results, he would use an area-of-effect attack.
I was waiting for this move of yours.
He had predicted this attack from the Raikage earlier, but the Raikage changed his stance after stepping out, so Naruto decided to take a gamble. Unexpectedly, he guessed right. Unrolling another part of his scroll, Naruto pulled out a giant flour-ball, holding it up and squatting slightly to absorb the impact.
The same flour-ball exploded, the same flour paste splattered everywhere, but what was different was the Raikage's posture.
Hit for the second time, the Raikage this time dodged in time, not getting a single drop on him. He stood in place, looking at the scroll on the ground near Naruto, which had five more characters spelling out "ball." He brought four fingers together and stated gravely, "It can only defend against blunt force, right?"
The same move might be effective once or twice against a ninja, but for the third time, they would definitely find a way to break it.
Seeing his four fingers pressed together, Naruto controlled the Rasengan behind him to float into his hand, and replied, "You guess."
This was the advantage of knowing the plot: he could guide the battle. From the first flour-ball to this one, and even the marked scroll Naruto carried, it was all deliberate, aimed at making the Raikage use this move.
Ever wonder how your dad got that bowl-sized scar on his chest?
