Under the dark cover of night in Göbekli Tepe, Turkey, the ruins of a once-bustling ancient city lay silent. Now, all that remained of the historical site was a desolate landscape of collapsed gravel and crumbling stone structures.
Yet, entirely unexpectedly amidst the chaotic rubble, a large central assembly square stood perfectly intact, untouched by the ravages of time.
If a practitioner of the mystic arts were to visit this location, they would immediately sense something deeply wrong. The ancient stone walls surrounding the assembly square exuded incredibly concentrated, profoundly evil magical fluctuations.
This was not a natural preservation; the ancient architecture had been forcefully restored using the corruptive, dark power of the Devil.
At this exact moment, standing within the bounds of this profane assembly square, a massive cult of demon worshipers had gathered. C
lad in heavy black robes that tightly concealed their features, they chanted a series of bizarre, guttural syllables that defied human linguistics.
Roarke and the young boy, Danny, were positioned directly in the center of the occult circle, kneeling on the hard stone ground.
They swayed back and forth, their movements unnaturally synced to the rhythm of the disturbing chant. Illuminated only by the faint, flickering glow of scattered candlelight, a horrifying optical illusion took shape.
The shadow cast behind Roarke was constantly expanding and twisting, morphing into the distinct silhouette of a towering demon, and it was slowly, hungrily creeping toward the trembling Danny.
High above this terrifying ritual, completely silent in the night air, a stealth S.H.I.E.L.D. drone was actively recording the entire scene. It captured high-resolution images of the occult gathering and transmitted the live video feed directly to a tactical data pad held by a person waiting just outside the ruins.
"It looks exactly like Roarke is in the middle of a possession ceremony to seize the boy's body," Luna observed, her eyes narrowing as she glanced at the glowing screen of the data pad. With her vast ancient knowledge, she instantly recognized the dark mechanics of what the demon was attempting to do.
"Then we need to act right now, before it's too late," Johnny urged, leaning over to look at the tactical display. "Your drone can track the exact positions of all these cultist guards. The defensive perimeter they have set up here seems to be incredibly tight. Should we formulate a stealth infiltration plan—"
Before Johnny could even finish his tactical thought, the sudden, deafening crack of gunfire and agonizing screams echoed from the darkness just a few yards away.
"Sorry, what did you just say?" Ethan Hunt asked casually. He and Melinda May had already aggressively pushed forward, systematically eliminating the outermost ring of demon worshipers before they could even sound an alarm. Ethan turned around, wiping dust from his jacket as he looked back at the bewildered Johnny.
"Uh... well, I just meant that your frontal assault strategy is beautiful," Johnny stammered, rubbing the back of his neck with visible embarrassment. "I used to do the exact same thing when I went out to handle business at night. Very subtle."
To Ethan, the concept of a complex, multi-stage infiltration plan was merely an auxiliary crutch used only when your raw strength was insufficient to achieve the desired objective.
When you possess the overwhelming capability to strike directly at the heart of the target, wasting precious time beating around the bush was completely illogical. Striking with overwhelming, precise force without hesitation had always been Ethan's preferred operational style.
The fanatical demon believers screamed in terror and pain, falling down in bloody waves like freshly cut wheat. Their crude weapons and dark magic were entirely useless, completely unable to slow down or block Ethan's relentless forward march toward the center of the ruins.
"Roarke! Step away from the kid!" Ethan roared, raising his foot and taking a heavy, deliberate step forward. He actively manipulated the kinetic vectors of his footfall, multiplying the downward force exponentially.
In a fraction of an instant, the very ground beneath them shook violently. Countless deep, jagged cracks spider-webbed outward from the point of Ethan's impact, racing across the courtyard and extending toward the massive boulder wall at a terrifying speed.
BOOM! With a deafening, explosive roar of shattering stone, the structural integrity of the massive stone wall enclosing the assembly square completely failed.
The ancient barrier collapsed into a cloud of thick dust, violently clearing a direct, unobstructed path straight into the heart of the ritual.
Meanwhile, in the absolute center of the exposed square, Roarke was still kneeling on the ground directly opposite Danny.
The demon's elongated, twisting shadow was now only a few agonizing inches away from physically touching the boy. However, that incredibly close proximity meant absolutely nothing to a Meta of Ethan's caliber.
With a literal flash of displaced air, Ethan rushed forward, manipulating the aerodynamic vectors around his body to completely eliminate all wind resistance. He moved at an impossible, supersonic velocity.
The desperate devil believers who foolishly lunged forward to block his path didn't even get the chance to touch him.
Before their weapons could make contact, they were violently torn apart and thrown aside by the sheer, concussive force of the compressed airflow generated by Ethan's slipstream.
Roarke's pupils shrank into pinpricks of absolute panic when he witnessed Ethan's terrifying display of physics manipulation. The demon violently gritted his teeth in sheer frustration. Realizing his meticulous ritual was ruined, a desperate, cornered flash of dark determination ignited in his eyes.
BANG!
Just a microsecond before Ethan's kinetic strike could connect with Roarke's physical form, the ancient demon took a drastic measure. Roarke intentionally and violently shattered his current possessed host body.
The flesh exploded, instantly transforming into a thick, swirling cloud of necrotic blood mist. Moving with supernatural speed, the crimson vapor forcefully shoved itself directly down Danny's nose and mouth.
"Danny! No!" Nadya shrieked in absolute, gut-wrenching horror, witnessing the horrific violation of her young son.
"Try not to panic just yet," Luna stated calmly, her eyes analyzing the magical signature of the mist. "That was not a complete, permanent seizing of the vessel. He abandoned the ritual for a rushed, forced possession. It cost him a massive amount of his stored energy to pull that off, which means the demonic entity can still be forcefully expelled from the boy's body."
"If the demon can be expelled through physical contact, then perhaps I should be the one to try," a confident voice echoed from the dust cloud.
A figure stepped forward, gleaming with a smooth, metallic luster. He was clad head-to-toe in a set of exquisite, sleek silver armor crafted from flowing liquid metal, making him look every bit as formidable as Iron Man himself.
The only peculiar flaw in this otherwise perfect, futuristic suit—a detail that would certainly trigger anyone with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder—was that his right hand was completely exposed to the open air, as if the gauntlet piece was entirely missing.
This, naturally, was the reunited "Iron Cavalry"—the combat synergy of Coulson and May.
However, before the armored Coulson could even take two full steps toward the boy, a massive, searing fireball condensed purely from the flames of Hell was hurled directly at his chest. Fortunately, Coulson's seasoned reflexes were incredibly sharp.
He didn't bother trying to dodge; he simply raised his exposed right hand and swatted the incoming projectile.
The moment his skin made contact, the supernatural hellfire was instantly negated, shattering the deadly fireball into a harmless shower of ordinary sparks.
"You utter idiot. Did you honestly think I would fall for that exact same trick a second time?" Danny spoke, but the voice that emerged from the boy's throat was a horrific, layered double-harmonic of a child and an ancient demon. Roarke, having completely suppressed Danny's consciousness, snorted coldly. Manipulating dark energy, he lifted the boy's small body, levitating high into the night air to stay safely out of Coulson's reach.
"You fools have slaughtered many of my devout believers tonight," Roarke sneered from above, looking down at the scattered corpses. "But in doing so, you have actually saved me the tedious effort of performing the blood sacrifices myself!"
With a sharp, commanding motion of his small hand, the lingering, distorted souls of the freshly killed cultists were violently ripped from their physical bodies. The screaming, ethereal energy rushed upward, rapidly gathering and compressing between Roarke's glowing palms.
RUMBLE!
A deafening crack of violent thunder shook the very foundations of the ancient city. Unnatural, swirling dark clouds had rapidly gathered in the sky above the ruins.
This atmospheric disturbance was absolutely not caused by Ethan's vector manipulation.
Instead, it was the direct result of a terrifying, deeply ancient mysterious force actively warping the local weather patterns and reality itself.
"We are in the middle of the Convergence," Luna warned, her face turning incredibly gloomy as she stared up at the swirling vortex. "The Nine Realms are aligning, which means the Hell dimension is currently drifting dangerously close to Earth's plane of existence. We are standing directly on a major spatial node. By absorbing those sacrificed souls, Roarke now possesses enough raw power to tear open a permanent portal directly to Hell."
Hearing the apocalyptic stakes, Ethan didn't hesitate for a single second. He aggressively manipulated gravity and launched himself straight up into the air, rocketing directly toward Roarke to rip the demon out of the sky.
However, just as Ethan's outstretched hand was about to grab the possessed boy's collar, a jagged, glowing crack—completely visible to the naked eye—suddenly fractured the very fabric of space directly behind Roarke.
CRASH!
With a terrifyingly crisp sound, exactly like a massive pane of thick glass shattering under immense pressure, the dimensional barrier broke apart.
From the glowing, molten depths of the newly formed rift, a colossal, ferocious demonic claw—dripping with superheated, liquid magma—reached out.
It moved with blinding speed, attempting to violently pinch Ethan out of the air like a bothersome insect.
"You fucker!" Ethan's eyes turned ice-cold.
He didn't retreat; instead, he aggressively stretched out his own hands and firmly grabbed the gargantuan, burning arm.
Focusing his vector manipulation, he seized the kinetic energy within the beast's own body and violently reversed the mechanical stress vectors along its skeletal structure, snapping the joint backward with extreme prejudice.
ROAR!
An agonizing, earth-shaking bellow echoed from deep within the dimensional crack. The massive demonic arm, which was substantially larger than Ethan's entire body, snapped completely in half with a sickening crunch of bone and molten sinew.
RIIIP!
Despite the localized victory, the spatial rift was already expanding at an uncontrollable rate. It tore open a massive, jagged scar across the night sky, stretching for dozens of meters.
From this gaping, unholy wound in reality, boiling hot magma began to flow out like a catastrophic flood. The molten rock poured down onto the ancient ruins like a devastating waterfall, instantly filling the entire valley with the suffocating, rich stench of burning sulfur.
Worse still, the magma was not empty. Dozens of hideous, heavily armored demons were actively pulling themselves out of the molten rock, dropping down into the courtyard.
After a brief moment of initial disorientation from crossing dimensions, every single one of the grotesque monsters turned their burning, predatory eyes directly toward Ethan, Coulson, and the rest of the team.
To these starved creatures of the pit, the scent of fresh human souls and warm flesh and blood was an absolutely irresistible delicacy.
"The Gate of Hell has officially been thrown wide open! It is completely useless even if you manage to kill me now," Roarke sneered triumphantly, hovering safely just in front of the blazing dimensional portal. "Because I am certainly not the only entity who desires to harvest the souls of this world. There are other rival Devil Kings who have been eagerly watching from the shadows, and they will absolutely not sit idly by and allow this beautiful gate to close!"
As if to confirm his terrifying threat, deep within the fiery abyss behind him, past the vanguard of rushing demons, several massive pairs of glowing, blood-red eyes appeared in the dark. These unfathomable cosmic horrors stared out at the Earth with a chilling mixture of absolute indifference and endless greed. The inherent cunning and eternal patience of these rival Devil Kings usually prevented them from attacking a new realm recklessly. However, they were exactly like a nest of starving, venomous snakes; the very second they truly sensed a massive, undefended opportunity to exploit a weakened barrier, they would mercilessly flock to the breach to claim their prize.
"Okay, I think we have officially reached the point where it is time to call in some heavy support," Ethan concluded, landing back on the ground. He calmly reached into his jacket pocket, pulled out his encrypted smartphone, and hit a speed-dial contact. "Hey, Dr. Strange? Yeah, we have a bit of a situation. Demons are actively invading the Earth."
"Ethan. I am aware you are currently at the epicenter of the incursion," the calm, distinctly cultured voice of Stephen Strange echoed from the phone's speaker. "Of course I already know about this apocalyptic matter. The mystical warning bells have been ringing non-stop in the Sanctum. I need you to hold the line and stall their advance. I am currently on a private jet, and I should arrive at your exact coordinates in approximately two hours."
"You are traveling by plane?" Ethan stared at his phone, his face twisting into an incredibly ugly expression of disbelief. "You are the Sorcerer Supreme! Can't you just use your Sling Ring or some other magical teleportation method to get here instantly?"
"Do you honestly think I don't want to do exactly that?" Dr. Strange's voice returned, laced with bitter frustration. "You should be well aware that during the Convergence, the overlapping of the Nine Realms completely destabilizes local reality. Unless you are standing directly on top of specific, stabilized spatial nodes, attempting to open a mystical portal becomes a highly dangerous, completely random probability event. I could end up inside a volcano, or worse."
"It certainly sounds like your precious reinforcements are delayed," Roarke mocked, having easily overheard the phone conversation from his elevated position. He looked down at Ethan with supreme arrogance. "What a pity. Meanwhile, my glorious demon army has been waiting patiently in the pits of Hell for a very long time! Come out and feast, my loyal fighters!"
CRASH!
The very second Roarke's triumphant voice fell, the thick, supernatural dark clouds blanketing the night sky were violently torn apart from above by a blindingly intense, descending pillar of light.
It was a gargantuan, roaring beam of colorful, prismatic energy that slammed directly into the earth. And from deep within the swirling vortex of this cosmic beam of light, the incredibly frustrated, desperate roar of a falling man echoed outward.
"Heimdall, you miscalculated the coordinates! This teleportation position is completely off! This is absolutely not the Bifrost drop zone leading to Jane!"
