| Decided to Change VIolent's Appearance Since She Wasn't Scary Enough
"Where is that brat…"
An ethereal railroad cut through the void itself; walls of literal void tried unsuccessfully to crush the strange realm where countless lost souls constantly wandered. All hurrying as if they had somewhere to go despite having no clue about their destination. Just an endless train platform.
The only light coming from the oil lamps that occasionally lined the concrete platforms with their dim lights acting like beacons. Whether to guide the lost souls away from the horror or nothingness or keep that very same nothingness away was not something she considered. Instead she sniffed the air once more.
Behind her were all manner of warriors (some wearing full plate armour while others hardly wore anything other than the paint on their bodies) all draped in cloaks. They paid full attention to their surroundings but not a single one bothered watching in front. None of the legendary heroes needed to do that.
Since she was leading them.
In one hand she held an axe with a head larger than a man's torso and in the other she held a crow's beak polearm with the ease one would carry a stick.
Heavy steps shook the realm on the edge of oblivious - dense stone cracking with every step she took as her sheer power radiated. Those semi-transparent lost souls, looking every bit as the same now as in their various lives, rarely came to stand shoulder to shoulder with her. Looming shadow enough to drive fear.
Standing at a monumental 8 foot, even while hunched over like a beast ready to pounce, meant few failed to notice her prowling. Those stupid enough quickly found themselves unable to even slow down her path as she simply walked through all challenges. Not even turning to look down at those she trampled.
Her outfit even allowed for her body to be near fully displayed to those who dared look upon her. On her feet and legs were wraps made from the leather of a lizard of some description. Around her waist was the hide of a boar kept in place by a divinely crafted buckle.
That hide acted as a skirt that more prominently fell to one side which showed off some of her flesh in the form of a plump but most definitely muscular thigh.
Things only got more open from there.
What adorned her torso was a lion's pelt which had its head sitting comfortably upon her left breast while one arm draped around her other shoulder to swing around. Wrapping around the lion head to act like a fastening strap. This did mean she was otherwise bare to the elements.
Her buxom but muscular body far outstripped a certain demoness in both aspects while this new monster's arms only had more of that "snake" leather around the arms in random intervals. She did have a feather bangle while around her neck was a necklace. From it hung eighteen whole reptilian eyes.
Upon one shoulder was the skull of a bull while the other pauldron appeared to be made up of horse shoes created from three different metals.
Meanwhile that face was one that Elizabeth would recognise in a heartbeat, any who had been within that chamber when that coffin opened would, being more than just similar. Still there were differences such as the horns atop her head differing. As well as the colour of her eyes & hair not being the same.
Foremost were the horns that pointed forward like a bull's but instead of being curved they turned at sharp angles - akin to a z or lightning bolt - being thick and white. Giving the aura of being able to brute force through any obstacle. The tips of those horns fading into a violet from the pure white they began as.
Their wild mane of hair actually was the same as those horns; beginning as an almost sickly level of pure white only to gradually fade near the tips to a vivid violet.
Her eyes were a piercing green that caused more than a few to simply pass out when under her purview.
Those eyes felt less like those of a person and more of a massive beast that was simply waiting to unleash its wrath on the nearest thing. Not helped by her lips parting to show off a perpetual bestial fang filled frown. The only mark marring her flesh was a scar on the back.
"When I find that girl I wring her neck!"
Growling out in a low voice but one with so much power that its rumble literally shook the platform pillars that held the partial glass ceiling. Green mist passed through the corner of her mouth as well as her nostrils that snorted like a bull ready to charge. That gas causes those around to quickly scarper.
Even her own warriors didn't stay around the noxious compound as it wasn't simply a toxin but something far more menacing for those not descended from the oni.
Despite those warriors from all different eras having confidence in her…
They couldn't help looking warily at her as she fearlessly charged through the realm they knew nothing about in hopes of finding someone they had no confirmation was even there. Still nobody brought it up to her as they had no better suggestions. Especially as their peaceful walk was short lived.
Once more those walls of void began to "take shape" as they spitted out shapeless morphing monsters of raw void that set upon those daring to stay around. One of those groups obviously being the warriors of legend whom didn't belong. Their roars not quite roar due to being the eerie absence of sound.
That "noise" alone was usually enough to cause many of the lost souls to collapse.
At least if they weren't met with the roar of a real beast.
"GRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAR!"
Bellowing out with such force that monsters that could usually consume entire worlds "collapsed" as their lack of existence was filled in with the gravity of her own.
The fight had only just begun and the tired warriors tried to keep up however were unable to compete as that monster threw her axe. It didn't even hit any of the void beasts but the sheer vibrations caused by it sailing by resulted in more simply "ceasing to exist". Technically doing the inverse of that.
Usually physical force was completely pointless against those pale imitations of life created by the void in order to consume more. Constantly adapting to better erase more of existence should they not be filled up in one single attack. Not that the monster made flesh cared about anyone else's opinion.
Knowing that her physical weapons would be useless she didn't hesitate in dropping her polearm.
Rushing forward as she leapt through the air, using her superior strength to rocket herself, leaving a crater behind as she seemingly vanished. Only to appear in front of a soul who was about to get consumed by the always gluttonous void. Ramming her face into the blob as a hissing echoed throughout.
Few paid attention to that in favour of the fact she just headbutted the void and was somehow the one who not only won but proceeded to charge towards the next. Her hands being treated as claws as she raked them through another void beast. The force output was enough to snuff them out.
Every attack came with a hissing as her flesh got eaten away but she didn't care while few even noticed her own pain as she continued on.
Fighting non-stop even as her comrades found themselves unable to continue to support her.
To her it didn't matter how many she had to protect; all that mattered was that she was where she needed to be at the right moment. Between the weak and those attempting to attack the weak. Lashing out without even attempting to dodge as there were simply too many weaklings around to allow an attack through.
Not standing still for so much as a second as she continued to push further and further forward while cleaving through every void monstrosity in her path. Those wandering souls she saved didn't so much as look back at her. Although she hardly cared about the fear in their eyes as she was used to it.
Instead she did what she always did.
Fight.
Soon enough the wave of void beasts faded once more like the countless others that had ambushed them in the seven odd years that they had been moving through the realm. She merely looked around for any other stragglers as she moved to retrieve her weapons. Mumbling to herself soon after.
"We should have another ten minutes before another attack happens…"
Her green eyes turned to her warriors only to see that they were truly on their last legs as it was only through her effort as well as the rearguard that there were no casualties. Usually she had no reason to worry about that since they would just return to the halls of heroes. The void made that implausible.
In fact she couldn't even be sure that they didn't have losses; those who were consumed by the void didn't simply die but ceased to exist with even those closest to them forgetting.
She was sure that such a disgusting effect wouldn't influence her.
But…
It was then that the rearguard, followed always by his ten crimson fox tails, walked up to the front with two wooden curved swords resting on his hips.
A look of worry clearly on his face as he looked at his partner.
"We can't continue like this and you know it."
That was not a comment she liked so she audibly growled as she spoke.
"And turn our backs when we don't know where Vi went? We need to know what the fuck is going on and she is the only one smart enough to figure all this shit out with no Cheshire to help. We can hardly rely on that meatbag goddess when she is so confident she won!"
Stomping her foot which resulted in a space itself cracking around her foot to create a fracture into some random place in some random universe. Fortunately that place, despite bordering the void, was far more sturdy than most. Such damage quickly regenerated with no signs remaining.
The crimson haired demon kistune didn't seem intimidated as he rubbed the back of his head in clear annoyance at the lack of answers they had.
"I sure don't like it either but… As you say, we don't know where that illustrious sister of yours has vanished, which means there's no guarantee we'll find her here."
"So I'm meant to just believe this realm between realms just randomly popped up when she hid away in her coffin like a little fucking pussy?!"
Roaring out in indignation as her husband could only sigh.
"Probably, may even be a red herring she set up herself, nobody knows better how tricky she is than me who was strung along for centuries under some random curse…"
The growling resumed but she didn't respond immediately.
Turning to look at her people which was uninterrupted by her man; him knowing fine well that would be more convincing then any argument he could make. Especially if he brought up his real worry that was revealed by his gaze. Lingering on her horns that had previously been pure white.
At least until she started headbutting the void in what has got to be the dumbest thing he's seen that has actually worked for them.
She did have ways to deal with the void, all oni did, even if she couldn't exactly use intent like a regular oni there was still their secret weapon as well as her flames of destruction. An evolving bloodline trait that all those belonging to the royal oni lineage had. The only problem was… There was no way she'd use them.
Not with so many people around - people who would be caught up in her attacks.
"... We set course to the demon realm so as to find out what is happening in her absence."
An obvious excuse from the worried tsundere sister but one that Bloodleaf could only sigh thankfully for receiving nonetheless.
What bad could be happening in the best managed of all the realms?
