Chapter 358 - Fang Yuan's Aperture: Part Nine

Fang Yuan produced several information-type gu worms containing Pill Path recipes and handed them over. He recalled many of these recipes from his time during the dream realm - which even now he marveled at its details and how much he remembered from it compared to some other dream realms he had come across in the past.

Fang Yuan naturally didn't remember all of the recipes exactly, and those that he did might not have the ingredients required in this Blessed Land and would need to be substituted with others which would take some experimentation - but that was all fine. At the level of pills they were making the dangers were rather limited.

"I wish for you to disseminate this information among the villages," Fang Yuan commanded. "We will start with small household factories to produce these pills. I know you are busy with farming and other herbs, but diverting a small portion of manpower toward this will still yield great results."

The Mushroomman village chief looked through the recipes. His eyes widened at one in particular. "Lord Immortal, this... Little Blue Pill Gu. I believe this will be incredibly valuable if produced in bulk!" The man's eyes were shining upon looking at the recipe.

Fang Yuan frowned slightly. He remembered that recipe vividly from his time in the dream realm as Fang Yuan at that time had been quite invested in perfecting it. Current Fang Yuan was more interested in the medicinal and restorative pills. He was also interested in seeing if he could use some of the insights from The Legends of Ren Zu in order to create something new using the Pill Path.

"I don't think that it would be worth investing much into this..." Fang Yuan muttered.

"Why, no, Lord Immortal," the Mushroomman village chief said, shaking his head. "I think this is one of the greatest discoveries of our time! You see, my wife happens to be the village witch." Every Mushroomman tribe had its own witch - a female whose healing powers were revered among all of them. Without the witch's blessing it was difficult for one to become village head - the position was almost equivalent to that of the saintess among the mermaids. It looked like this person had become village head by marrying said witch. "And she would be quite interested in this little recipe ehehe... as they say, Lord Immortal, 'happy wife happy life.'"

'Old man, aren't you too old to be thinking of such things? Nevermind, because you're so old, that's why you need this kind of help in the first place...' Fang Yuan thought. Whatever. This could also benefit him in some way. If the witches of each village found great value in this pill, it would be easier to spread the Pill Path throughout the Blessed Land.

The problem was that too much focus on the Little Blue Pill Gu would hamper the development of other Pill Path gu worms. One of the major drawbacks of the Pill Path was that most pills were single use and it was quite resource-intensive in order to use and so if they made lots of Little Blue Pill Gu they would have fewer resources for other pills. But Fang Yuan supposed there was no harm in showing them the benefits of the Pill Path first so that they would be motivated to research further into it. They might even be able to happen upon new developments that he hadn't thought of earlier. It was also why he wasn't currently enslaving them outright and instead going about things like this - if he did so, while that might boost his gains ever so slightly in the short term it would hamper it in the long term.

Additionally, it wasn't like Paradise Earth had just left this Blessed Land as is. Fang Yuan was sure that if he pushed things too far he would get some kind of pushback.

"I will leave the management to you," Fang Yuan said. He could make things more efficient if he took the reigns himself, but there was already so much on his plate to manage. He had no time to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Mushroommen and the Pill Path.

"Understood, Lord Immortal, we will not let you down!" the Mushroomman village chief said.

Fang Yuan then extracted several resources to transplant into his Immortal Aperture, mainly things that were not of much use to the Blessed Land.

An example were Starsteel Flowers. These were flowers that contained doa marks of both the Star and the Metal Path - and were quite useful in various kinds of gu refinement. The Blessed Land only had a White Heaven and so had no day and night cycle - these flowers could not grow well except in the darkest of caves, much like with the Moonlight Gu. Fang Yuan could take about ninety percent of them and then place them in the Black Heaven within his aperture to grow.

He also collected Poisonous Mushroom Soil, a waste product for the Mushroommen but a valuable resource for Poison Path cultivators. It was made after they discarded some of the waste from the medicine and avoided by most of them.

He placed this within Fang Yuan Continent on a piece of barren rock. The soil would soon form a small pond of poisonous pus. Various poisonous plants and gu worms would soon develop around the area, some of which could be used for medicinal purposes. It would not hamper the human's growth too much as it was clear that it was quite poisonous at a glance, but perhaps someone could make use of them.

During this time, the Shellfish Tribe had managed to suppress most of the Jade Eye Stone Monkeys, and even took a few of them as pets.

Now they were planning on taking revenge on the Green Hill Tribe.

However, observing this, Fang Yuan could only shake his head. This was a short-sighted move by them.

The reason being was that the Green Hill Tribe occupied the higher ground and would be costly to defeat. They also didn't have many resources to make such a fight valuable even if they happened to win.

Rather than that, if Fang Yuan had been the Shellfish Tribe Leader, he would've ordered them to cut down the Swamp Tribe towards the Southeast. So what if the Swamp Tribe had done nothing to them? They were an easier target and their woman and children could be taken after being defeated, not to mention after conquering it it would be harder to take away from them.

So what if the Green Hill Tribe had attacked them in the past? What use was holding onto grudges or enmities?

With that said, although Fang Yuan could make that kind of decision, the hearts of humans were rarely so dictated by cold logic. They could not let go of their anger so easily. And so, the Shellfish Tribe prepared for their assault.

Fang Yuan then approached the section of the Blessed Land where the remnants of Genesis Lotus Immortal Venerable's influence resided. There, he found the Blessed Land's Land Spirit waiting for him.

The Land Spirit took the form of a white lotus. There were some Painting Path gu worms left behind which Fang Yuan collected, though there as no trace of Genesis Lotus Immortal Venerable's Will.

"Master, you are finally here," the Land Spirit greeted Fang Yuan. "Paradise Earth left a formation for you. He said that once you enter it, you will be able to stake your claim toward one of his larger projects. Something very significant awaits you on the other side."

Fang Yuan took a glance at the formation set up a distance away in the sky. "Where does that go?"

"To the Mushroomman Paradise," the Land Spirit explained.

Fang Yuan nodded, his expression unreadable, and stepped into the formation.
