Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: New life

"I HATE THIS FOREST!"

In a vibrant green forest a young man let out a booming annoyance filled scream as he for the third time passed the same tree.

"Damn what now?"

Calming down the young man ran his hand through his blood red hair atop which a verdant green streak swirled down from the top.

"Man, first my ex kills me and now im stuck in this dumb forest."

Cursing his luck the man now revealed to be a reincarnated person let out a long sigh before plopping down on a nearby log.

"System"

[Table Top System Locked until Host reaches a settlement]

'This sucks'

Looking at the floating black screen in front of him the man let out another depressed sigh as he soon worked up the motivation to once again stand up and continue exploring the forest.

*Several hours later*

"FINALLY!"

Emerging out a set of bushes and looking worse for wear the reincarnated man couldn't help exclaimed as he emerged out of the dense forest into a open field of tall grass that seemed to stretch endlessly into the distance.

"Is that a castle?"

Taking in the sight that wasn't the dense packing of trees and fooilage for the first time in hours the man was clearly surprised to spot a towering hill upon which a oddly built castle sat shaded by concentrated set of dark clouds that blanketed the town below in a oddly ominous darkness.

'Well no time like the present'

Marching forward the man moved towards the castle and the town below it his pace hurried as the sun already seemed to be setting and having spent a year living in the country side he knew how dark nights could get.

[System Unlocked]

Arriving at the entrance of the town the sky was pitch black with the only lighting coming from the lamps that lined the dimly lit streets that seemed completely deserted, that's why when a loud chime echoed in his head, the young man nearly found his heart stop as he let out a muffled scream.

'Fuck some warning next time... system'

With this thought the man wasted no time calling up his System, which responded quickly as small palm sized black screen with red text appeared in his view.

------

[Status]

[Templates]

[Inventory]

-------

'Seems pretty simple'

Looking around first to see if anybody was watching, but as expected he was met by empty streets, so wasting no time clicking on the first option which brought up a much larger screen.

------

[Name: Yon Vane]

[Race: sacriers/Sadida]

[Unlock More abilties to expand further]

------

"Sacriers? Sadida? where have I heard that before?"

Observing the screen the man now named Yon felt a memory at the back of his mind attempt to surface but as quickly as it came it was lost.

'Thoughts for later.'

Thinking this Yon backed out of his status and moved on to Templates, which opened with a small tutorial.

[In this Section host will use Table Top Points or TTP to pull from the Template pools, earning anything from the ability to shoot thunder to a smelly old boot, each pull will cost 10]

[Both templates and TTP can be earned by completing missions that are give out randomly or based on user circumstances]

'So Gacha?'

Listening to the voice speak yon quickly understood the basic function and quickly summed it up into one simple word.

------

[TTP: 100]

[_Avaliable Templates_]

[DnD]

[Pull(10 TTP)]

------

'Guess I should use everything right?'

Seeing nowhere else to use his points Yon decided to spend his points now in hopes of getting something useful as the deserted streets of such a big town gave him a bad feeling.

So inputting a 100 points Yon watched his screen shift becoming a whirlwind of colors as a list of 10 items emerged soon after.

-----

[Mace]

[Fine clothes]

[10 Gold]

[1 Barbarian level]

[(Lv0)Control Flames]

[Rusty Goblet]

[Wooden Shield]

[Owl Bear(Foe)]

[Everbright Lantern]

[Goblin(Ally)]

-----

'Seems I got some good stuff!'

Looking at the rewards Yon was pretty happy to see that not only did he get a class level but even a magic item! Though not of the offensive type it was still nice to have.

'Now how do I use them?'

Closing templates Yon quickly navigated over to inventory where everything from his previous pull was located and neatly organized in alphabetical order.

[Would host like to apply Barbarian as Core class?]

Selecting the barbarian level in his inventory Yon was met by this prompt and without hesitation he selected yes.

'I feel the exact same?'

Watching the screen dissolve into notes of light that entered his body Yon didnt feel much different though he did feel slight bubbling at the back of his mind.

'I will check my status later lets first get everything else out'

With this thought in mind yon finally remebred the fact he was currently wearing a rags that barely covered his groin a fact he had forgot about after several hours but after seeing clothes included he wasted no time pulling them from his inventory.

"A dang suit!"

Yep, Yon Got a lovely 3 piece black suit, with a emerald green tie, handkerchief, and after looking through the pockets he even found some gloves embrodiered with his initials of YV.

'Well it beats these rags'

Seeing as the only thing he was wearing was barely covering his groin Yon wasted time changing into the clothes before moving on to the other items.

[Does user wish to learn [(Lv0)Control Flames]?]

Learning the cantrip Yon wasted no time opening his status, which now looked much different.

------

[Name: Yon Vane]

[Race: sacriers/Sadida]

[Class: (Lv1)Barbarian]

[_Spells_]

[(LV0)Flame Control]

[_Features_]

[Rage(2/2): In battle, you fight with primal skill and a bestial

ferocity.

All physical damage is halved

Your rage lasts for 10 minute. It ends early if you are knocked unconscious or if you have gone a minute without attacking or being attacked

[Unarmored defence: You withstand attack that would put others on death doors with spiteful vigor, that only gets worse as you grow in strength.

------

'Wait, no skills, no Profiencies....fuck'

With that thought Yon realized it wouldn't be that easy to become strong.
