Chapter 406 - Chapter 406: The Curtain Falls!

Chapter 406: The Curtain Falls!

Even as Asura burned his life essence, he still had some fight left in him. For a moment, he seemed to return to his peak, his blood red Asura energy shining like a twisted, ominous sun suffocating, cold, and drenched in bloodlust.

Unfortunately, Han Li also wielded Asura's power.

But unlike Asura, he was already at his peak.

He didn't need to burn his essence his entire being was brimming with divine energy. The Asura power he released was pure slaughter, pure judgment untainted by desperation.

The Asura God's divinity had already been absorbed into him.

By the laws of the universe, no one was more legitimate than Han Li not even the previous holder.

"I am the Asura God. Do you understand?"

As the colossal hammer met the blood sword, Han Li's previous rage vanished, replaced by a cold, detached calm.

His voice echoed in Asura's mind.

Asura's expression twisted in horror.

But it was too late.

Once his blood sword was unleashed, he could not stop it.

In this universe, divinity held power.

It wasn't always obvious but in the hierarchy of gods, it was crucial.

This was why gods were obsessed with divine thrones why they refused to give them up.

A divine seat meant recognition by universal law.

It meant that even outside the God Realm, the cosmos itself would not reject you.

The laws of the universe were nothing more than lines of code and in this system, Han Li had just been granted admin privileges.

This was something Han Li had realized during his final conversation with the Will of Douluo.

He'd always known Asura, Destruction, and Life were special.

As Law Enforcers, they held certain privileges, particularly against other gods with divine seats.

This was why despite knowing that Asura's inheritance was a trap Han Li took it anyway.

Because it wasn't just a throne.

It was a license to kill.

Han Li had always been meticulous.

If something existed, there had to be a reason and if it had value, he'd find a way to seize it.

And now?

That decision was paying off.

A god with a divine seat fighting another was competition.

Aside from Law Enforcers, divine authority did not easily suppress one another.

But Asura

No longer had a divine seat.

And Han Li did.

The moment their weapons clashed, the results were inevitable.

Not only was Han Li stronger, but the universe itself turned against Asura.

Even though Asura's bloodline essence was Asura's power,

Even though he had just been the Asura God,

Even though Han Li was not a traditional successor

The laws were indifferent.

They still chose Han Li.

Crack.

In the soundless expanse of space, the unmistakable noise of shattering rang out.

Asura's divine sword

Began to break.

A scarlet fissure split the cosmos above them like the sky itself was collapsing.

Asura, linked to his blade, could no longer sustain his injuries.

His essence bled out, his armor shattered, his form twisted.

No longer a cold, ruthless warlord but a monstrous entity.

His true form.

A blue faced, fanged aberration with eleven arms.

"Damn, you're ugly."

"Guess that explains why your heart is just as filthy."

Han Li's words cut deeper than any blade.

But Asura

Could no longer argue.

Han Li's attack

Was still not over.

The broken Asura Demon Sword

Plunged straight into Asura's heart.

And then

The colossal hammer followed.

BOOM.

A miniature black hole formed, threatening to consume the remains

But Han Li locked it in place with Space Law.

A deep purple fire Rakshasa flames ignited the blood mist.

Within the flames, Asura's warped, agonized soul howled.

But he could not escape.

Bit by bit, he was erased.

"Damn, you're pretty resistant."

"Fine. Let's add more fuel to the fire."

Han Li dismissed his divine form, then casually tossed another ball of bloodfire and deep purple lightning toward the remnants of Asura.

That was Judgment Fire, representing Asura's power, and Destruction Thunder, embodying the force of annihilation.

A threefold tribute.

If Asura was going to die, Han Li would at least give him the highest level of a funeral.

Three breaths later, the agonized screams and the hum of the shattered sword faded into silence.

Han Li then used Destruction Thunder to sweep the area once more.

Only after confirming through the Fate Laws that nothing remained did he release the spatial lock, allowing the black hole to consume the fragmented space.

Satisfied, he walked over and picked up the broken sword.

Then, his gaze shifted to the ownerless essence floating nearby.

A glint of realization flashed in his eyes as he stored it away.

With that settled, he turned to the other battlefield.

That fight was… completely different from his.

To put it simply

It was a one sided barrage.

Led by Gu Yue, the gods of Douluo were hurling their skills like there was no tomorrow.

This time, they were following instructions perfectly.

Gu Yue stood at the front, wielding her Silver Dragon Spear, while the others rained down divine attacks from behind.

Dugu Yan and Shui Bing'er even attempted what seemed like a divine level Martial Soul Fusion Skill, its power far exceeding the realm of a First Class God.

As for their opponents, Evil and Kindness, their resistance was pitifully weak.

Evil still had the will to fight.

When Asura was annihilated, he even tried to unleash his full power, but Gu Yue immediately transformed and forcefully dragged him into a duel, preventing him from interfering with the others.

Kindness, however, did nothing but defend.

She barely attacked, her stance completely passive.

Back in the God Realm, with the other gods now supporting them, Destruction and Life finally had their hands free.

But they were cautious.

Even after Asura was reduced to ashes, they did not step away from the God Realm.

Han Li's combat strength surpassed a God King every deity present knew this.

Especially considering that even now, he remained at full power.

And another fact weighed on their minds

A Super Divine Weapon was destroyed,

The God Realm's protective barrier was shattered.

Not even the Dragon God War had seen this level of devastation.

Han Li flew toward the battlefield.

Behind him, Qian Renxue and the others ceased their attacks, leaving Gu Yue to deal with Evil while Kindness remained motionless.

"Considering how you behaved later on, you have two choices fight me, or end yourself."

"If you choose the latter, I'll preserve a fragment of your soul essence, but your memories? Forget about them I don't like leaving behind loose ends."

He stopped not far from Kindness, raising Destiny and aiming it at her.

For gods who specialized in emotion based laws, Han Li remained extremely wary.

Even with Fate Laws and other Supreme Laws protecting him, he preferred to keep his distance.

As for Gu Yue?

She insisted she had experience there was no talking her out of it.

Kindness hesitated for a moment, then nodded at him.

She turned to the God Realm, bowed deeply,

And after a long pause

She straightened, cast one final longing glance toward her home,

And simply said

"Thank you."

Her form slowly dissipated, leaving behind a cluster of pure energy and the fractured Kindness Heart, floating quietly in place.

A wave of golden energy drifted from Han Li, sweeping over the remains before collecting them.

Just as Kindness chose to self destruct,

Evil sensed something.

Ignoring Gu Yue, he forcefully took a direct hit from her and charged at Han Li.

"Don't act like this is some tragic love story she didn't even mention you."

"Originally, I was going to preserve a part of your soul for the Evil God Pearl's sake "

"But you made the wrong choice."

A streak of golden light shot from Han Li's bow,

Crossing space in an instant,

And piercing Evil's forehead.

There were no visible wounds,

But he collapsed nonetheless.

Han Li's aura flickered, momentarily weakening before quickly restoring itself.

That one attack had consumed half his divine power.

A God King whose death was already predestined still required such an immense cost

It only reaffirmed that Han Li's Fate Laws were not suited for direct confrontation.

But

At least it saved him the trouble of further cleanup.

Not bad.

He didn't know what Evil had tried to do.

And he didn't care.

Evil had opposed him.

That alone meant his death was inevitable.

Looking down at the murky energy left behind,

Han Li gathered it along with the Judgment Scale before turning toward the God Realm.

With his companions at his side, they flew forward, stopping at the edge of the crumbling divine realm.

Below them

The remaining gods stared up, their expressions mixed with fear, awe, and uncertainty.

Despite Destruction and Life's efforts,

The God Realm was still slowly falling apart.

"How long can you keep it together?"

Han Li turned to Destruction his former imagined rival.

At the beginning, Destruction had charged in without hesitation

Yet here they were now, simply having a conversation.

"Five years at most."

Destruction's voice was heavy.

He and Life had calculated extensively

This was the absolute maximum they could hold on.

And that was only if they maintained their full effort.

"Oh. Then just move somewhere else."

Han Li said it like it was nothing.

Because in every version of his plan

This God Realm was never meant to survive.
