POV: Arthur Kojiro
As Rai and I went our separate ways, I sprinted towards Lust, who smashed her foot into the ground below and used the broken debris of the earth as her own personal weapon, launching them towards me as I sliced through them swiftly and tried to slash through her chest upon my arrival, but unfortunately, Envy fired a volley of aura-imbued bullets once more as she prevented me from advancing any further, forcing me to evade her attack as I dodged and deflected every bullet.
This is annoying.
I wasn't aware of it at the time, but who would have thought that her sniper rifle had the modification to change into an assault rifle.
After Envy emptied her mag, they continued their pressure as Gluttony suddenly appeared behind me and tried to pierce through my abdomen by lunging forward with one of her daggers, however, I evaded her lunge with a nimble side step as I tried to slash though the back of her torso, but to my surprise, Lust used her Aspect to restrict my arm from following through as amidst approaching me, she landed a clean roundhouse kick into the side of my torso, causing me to wince in pain as I slid backwards across the ground from the impact.
How can I win this?
They're all weaker than me, but their coordination allows them to stand toe-to-toe against me and if this becomes a battle of attrition, I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep this up as dealing with not just one, but three Unique-Type Aspects is quite troubling.
Envy is remaining outside of my range and even if I try to pursue her, I won't be able to move freely because of Gluttony and Lust's relentless assault.
If I try to attack Lust, I'm forced to be aware of Envy's weapon as well as Gluttony's attacks from my blindspots.
And if I try to attack…
Wait, why am I of all people, overthinking things?
"ARE YOU FINALLY SCARED NOW, YOU LITTLE BASTARD?!" Lust questioned with a sadistic grin as she was elated from my momentary indifference, but within an instant, she suddenly froze in place with cold sweat erupting across her skin as I felt a smile creep onto my face while my aura began to swell around me.
All I have to do is win.
As my grin widened, my Aspectual Force intensified, inspiring an appalling reaction from the three sins that surrounded me.
"Lust, his Aspectual Force is starting to become unbearable!" Gluttony mentioned nervously, prompting Lust to retreat away from me as I planted my feet into the ground and dashed towards her.
As I pursued her, Envy switched the firing mode of her gun back to bolt-action as she fired a shot aimed for my head, but despite the speed of the aura-imbued bullet, I was able to track the trajectory with my eyes as I crossed my swords and blocked it with my blades, spinning my body amidst deflecting the bullet away in order to keep my momentum as I continued my advance towards Lust, who was only several of meters in front of Gluttony.
Yeah…
"S-Stay away from me!" Gluttony screamed in terror as she tried to slash my throat with her knife, but in my current state, everything seemed slower than usual as I parried her knife into the air amidst spinning my body forward, sliding across the ground as the blades of my swords ripped through the left side of her torso, spilling her blood across the forest bedding as she screamed in agony, collapsing onto the ground as she clutched her wound tightly while I continued to advance towards Lust, who clicked her tongue nervously.
This is more like it!
As I approached Lust, she used of her hands to lift the scattered debris of the earth around the area once more as she used her other hand to restrict my movement, but to her dismay, my Aspectual Force overwhelmed her, disrupting her focus as she tensed with apprehension and in that moment, I swiftly sliced through the debris she had thrown at me as I slid forward across the ground amidst positioning myself into a two-sword style stance towards her.
Sharpening my gaze, I prepared myself to finish her off, but Envy spared her from death as she fired a few aura-imbued bullets towards me, forcing me to evade and deflect one of the bullets as Lust capitalized on the moment I was distracted and rushed towards me out of pure frustration.
Full auto, bolt-action and now semi-automatic.
How many firing modes does her weapon have?
"DIE ALREADY!" Lust screamed as she smashed her foot into my chest, kicking me away as I slid backwards across the ground, but panic began to arise from within as I noticed blood seeping through my shirt from small puncture holes across my chest.
She has retractable spikes on her heels?!
As I regained my footing, Lust rushed towards me with a variety of kicks, intending to inflict a lethal wound as I parried her leg away with my own, disrupting her balance as I stepped forward and rammed my shoulder into her solar plexus, knocking the wind out of her as she staggered backwards while I positioned myself into a two-sword style stance and closed the distance between us with a single step.
"You damn-"
"Ascension!" I yelled as I tore into her flesh with the blades of my swords, but her next action left me perplexed as she used her Aspect to restrict my movement, preventing me from finishing the follow through of my swing as the blades of my swords were stuck within her torso while blood seeped through the crevices of her gritted teeth.
Are you serious right now?
This woman is crazy!
"If I'm going to die here, I'M TAKING YOU WITH ME!" Lust screamed with a hysterical laugh as she pulled out a pocket knife from her cleavage and tried to pierce through my heart while Envy fired a single aura-imbued shot aimed precisely towards my head, forcing me to rip out my swords from within her torso as I spaced myself away amidst evading both of their attacks while my momentum carried me backwards across the ground.
I've had enough of her interference.
As I locked eyes with Envy, her eyes widened with fear as I sheathed one of my swords and positioned myself into a one-sword style stance.
If I can't reach Envy before Lust restricts me with her Aspect…
Then I'll just cut her down where she stands.
Tightly gripping the handle of my sword, I coated my blade with my own aura as I launched an aura-imbued slash towards Envy before using the momentum from the power of my swing to spin my body upwards, unsheathing my second sword within mid-air as I launched another aura-imbued slash towards Envy, whose fear was replaced with an assertive grin as Gluttony appeared in front of Envy with the intention of absorbing my attacks.
What a clueless woman.
Confident, Gluttony smiled as if she had outsmarted me, but despite the favorable nature of my attack, she was unable to absorb it as it was suddenly nullified, leaving Envy and Lust appalled as the visible terror that replaced her once confident smirk left me amused.
"Ah, I forgot to tell you."
"Your Aspect is useless against me." I added with a grin amidst landing onto the ground as a large, deep diagonal slash appeared across her chest, causing her to spew out blood as she clutched her chest tightly with tears welling within her eyes until she collapsed backwards onto the ground, losing consciousness in the midst as a small puddle of blood began to form beneath her while my second slash destroyed Envy's weapon, mutilating her hands in the process as she struggled to restrain herself from screaming.
There was a moment of silence until the cool, autumn wind blew throughout the forest as my eyes fell upon Envy, who was now weaponless as she began trembling in fear despite the distance between us.
"You… MONSTER!" Envy screamed as she used her aura to blast a volley of projectiles towards me out of desperation, disregarding her precise accuracy as I effortlessly evaded every projectile of energy and dashed towards Lust, who was taken aback by my sudden shift in speed as I slid across the ground towards her, tightening my grasp on the handles of my swords as I locked eyes with her.
I'm ending this now.
"Divergence." I uttered as I slashed her chest with a single, expeditious motion, sheathing my swords afterwards as two deep slashes in the form of an angled cross appeared on her chest, causing her to spew out blood as placed her hand onto her chest before dropping onto her knees with an alarmed expression.
"How could we possibly lose to a mere child?" Lust asked rhetorically as she clenched the ground in frustration.
"There's no need to question your power." I said as I approached Lust.
"You were destined to lose to me as you all are nothing more than mere stepping stones for my ascension in becoming the strongest." I answered firmly as I glared down at Lust, who struggled to utter a single sentence before allowing her consciousness to slip away.
There's no way I can fall here.
This is only the beginning.
Whether it be a villain or even a hero…
In order to achieve my dream, I'll cut down anyone who stands in my way.
