Chapter 243: Qualified Teachers
Standing atop the flag platform, Ye Cheng gazed down at the neatly arranged group of nearly a hundred students. No one dared to meet his eyes. After scanning the crowd, he slowly spoke.
"Students, welcome to White Cloud Academy."
"You are the first official batch of students and will witness the dawn of a great new era."
"I know that many of you have come here with impure motives. Yet, I have still chosen to accept you. Because, in my eyes, this does not matter it does not contradict the purpose for which White Cloud Academy was created."
"This academy is a place for education and growth. If you can learn valuable lessons here both in knowledge and in life and one day go forth to contribute to the world, then that is enough."
"From here on, you will be assigned to different classes based on your individual characteristics. If you have any questions or concerns, you may consult your assigned teachers."
Unlike typical headmasters who would drone on under the scorching sun with endless, tedious speeches, Ye Cheng understood just how irritating such figures could be. So, after delivering his brief but meaningful address, he vanished into thin air without the slightest hesitation.
The students below were still processing his words. When he mentioned their "impure motives," people like Hu Liena and Oscar were startled, only to quickly realize how laughable their surprise was.
"A man of his status… how could he not see through us?"
He had simply chosen not to care. If he did, he wouldn't have accepted them at all.
But why?
Why would the headmaster knowingly accept students with ulterior motives? What was his goal? How did this benefit him?
The students were confused. But the teachers standing nearby understood. Their years of training had not been in vain they knew exactly what the headmaster meant.
Ye Cheng did not prioritize strength. He valued moral character above all else.
To him, if a person lacked virtue, then no matter how powerful they became, they would be nothing more than another Tang San.
The true purpose of White Cloud Academy was not just to teach skills but to change the way people think. Ye Cheng wanted to reshape the world's values one student at a time.
Before coming to White Cloud City, these teachers believed that an academy's sole purpose was to train powerful Soul Masters. What did morality matter? Strength was all that mattered.
But after years of education under Ye Cheng's teachings, they had awakened.
They now saw the bigger picture the profound flaws in the current Soul Master world.
They were no longer narrow minded instructors they were now true educators.
Class Assignments
After Ye Cheng's departure, Director Luo Xiang stepped onto the stage with a list in hand.
"Based on your abilities, you will be divided into three different classes," he announced.
Then, he began calling out names.
"Huang Guisheng assigned to Class Three."
"Xu Qiaoqiao assigned to Class Three."
"Wang Xiaoyou assigned to Class Two."
"Hu Liena assigned to Class One."
"Shui Bing'er assigned to Class One."
"Huo Wu…"
One by one, the 98 students were assigned their respective classes.
For example, top tier talents like Hu Liena, Shui Bing'er, and Oscar were placed in Class One. Those with moderate talent were assigned to Class Two. As for students with unique but weaker martial souls, they were placed in Class Three.
It was worth noting that the class numbers did not indicate ranking. Class One was not inherently superior to Class Two or Three they were simply grouped by characteristics.
In Ye Cheng's eyes, natural talent could always be improved.
White Cloud Academy had methods to help students enhance their potential as long as they were deemed worthy.
Why waste precious resources on someone who might betray them later? Why train another Tang San?
After completing the assignments, Luo Xiang closed the list.
"Now, follow your respective teachers to your dormitories. If you prefer to stay off campus, that is also acceptable. Just be sure to attend classes on time."
With that, he left the stage.
Then, three teachers stepped forward and spoke.
"Class One, gather here!"
"Class Two, over here!"
"Class Three, follow me!"
The students quickly rearranged into their respective groups.
A Look at the Academy's Dormitories
The Class One homeroom teacher was a man named Teacher Cao. He studied his students only about twenty or so in total.
He didn't waste time with generic inspirational speeches.
Instead, he simply said:
"My name is Cao. You may call me Teacher Cao."
"Classes begin when the academy bell rings. The curriculum will adjust based on your progress, and I am not the only instructor who will teach you. You will learn many things here."
"That's all you need to know for now. Follow me to the dormitories."
Without another word, he turned and walked away.
"Follow me."
The students, still unfamiliar with him, remained silent and obediently followed.
Soon, they arrived in front of a grand six story building.
The structure was vast and luxurious more akin to a high end hotel than a dormitory.
Seeing this, even students who had originally planned to stay in off campus hotels started rethinking their choices.
They hadn't expected the dorms to be this extravagant.
And more importantly each student had their own private room.
They wouldn't have to share cramped spaces with strangers.
Teacher Cao stopped in front of the building and pointed.
"This is the student dormitory. Each of you will have a private room, and your stay here is completely free. Additionally, there is a cafeteria nearby that serves free meals."
Hearing this, many students who had initially dismissed the idea of dorm life suddenly felt that staying on campus wasn't so bad after all.
The academy was offering all this for free?
This level of care and investment… was something no other academy had ever provided.
Soon, Teacher Cao led them inside to the dormitory reception desk.
There, a uniformed staff member was in charge of room assignments. Behind them, a wall full of numbered room keys hung neatly.
Since all the rooms were identical in layout, students could choose any available room.
Before long, everyone had selected their dorms.
Once everything was settled, Teacher Cao dismissed them to unpack and get settled before quietly leaving.
A New Beginning
With the students now officially enrolled, the next phase of their education would begin.
What they learned would not just be strength but wisdom and virtue.
This was Ye Cheng's true vision for White Cloud Academy.
And soon, the entire continent would feel its impact.
