Chapter 238 - Chapter 237: Aburame Mana

Torifu nodded. "Of course. This is your home now. When you're older, you can choose to stay or move out on your own." Torifu took Minato's hand and led him into the courtyard.

Upon entering, they saw Snowflake lying on the ground, basking in the sun. Even with the magnificent appearance of a Phoenix bird, it still had the personality of an old hen. It would flop down on the ground without a care for how dirty it was, completely lacking the noble demeanor of a Phoenix bird. As Torifu would say, it was just a country bumpkin.

"You're back~" Snowflake said lazily.

Then it noticed the little boy with Torifu and immediately got up, flying in front of Minato. After examining him closely, Snowflake said, "This kid isn't from the village. Another one you found?"

Torifu nodded. "Yeah, I found him outside the village. He's my disciple now."

"Alright, welcome to the family." Snowflake stretched out its wing toward Minato. Minato didn't quite understand why such a beautiful bird could talk. But it seemed this "auntie" bird was also a member of the family. He wondered if his new Nii-san lived in such a big house all by himself. It seemed a bit too extravagant!

Snowflake returned to its spot and pointed toward the backyard. "Amado's still working on the cell phone. He won't be out for a while."

Torifu acknowledged this and then told Minato, "Amado is also your big brother. He came to this house more than ten years before you. Now he's a great inventor."

Minato was from a small, common village where life was simple. He naturally had no knowledge of televisions, air conditioners, or refrigerators. He didn't know who Amado was, let alone what a great inventor was. It seemed like he had a lot to learn in this big village.

"Go ahead and pick any room you like. It will be your room in this house."

Minato walked around the courtyard and found a cozy, medium-sized room. He didn't recognize some of the strange items inside, and Torifu patiently explained each one to him.

Time passed quickly, and it was soon after ten in the morning. Minato lay in his room, enjoying the air conditioning and watching television. He didn't really know how to operate it, so Torifu had set it up for him. When he first saw the television, Minato was so startled! He thought there was a person trapped inside a box! It took multiple explanations from Torifu for Minato to finally understand the principle of television, but he was still very curious.

Just then, Genshin arrived with his daughter. Mana was wearing a yellow floral dress and had changed the color of her eyes. Her two braids made her look quite cute. However, she was a bit confused as to why her father had brought her here on a holiday.

"Torifu, I'm here."

Torifu immediately stepped forward to greet them. "Brother Genshin, please come in. And Mana, you come in too. Make yourselves at home."

Although Mana was young, she was very well-mannered. "Aburame Mana greets the Kumotsuru Clan Head."

Torifu waved his hand. "No need to be so formal, Mana. Come and sit down."

Torifu led Genshin and Mana to a small gazebo. The scenery here was pleasant and the air was fresh, making it a perfect spot for guests.

"Torifu, you said you could solve Mana's problem. Can you tell me your method?"

Torifu nodded. "Of course, that's no problem." Then, Torifu began to talk with a completely serious expression. "Our clan, starting with the first ancestor, has a secret medicine that has been passed down through generations."

As soon as he said this, Genshin became worried. Secret medicines usually had powerful side effects. Other clans had them, but no one dared to use them.

Seeing Genshin's expression, Torifu knew what he was thinking. "Brother Genshin, you don't need to worry. This secret medicine is only for beasts, animals, or insects. Humans cannot use it."

"The two cranes I have were given this medicine when they were born. I don't need to tell you how healthy and powerful they are, do I?"

Genshin nodded. Those two cranes were seen hovering over Konoha every day, and the chakra they exuded made it clear they were not to be trifled with. However, Genshin was still a bit hesitant. "Torifu, the effects of medicine have to wear off eventually. You can't keep supplying her with it forever."

Torifu smiled and waved his hand. "Brother Genshin, you've misunderstood. This secret medicine purifies genes. There's no such thing as the effect wearing off. It can only be used once in a lifetime."

"And it allows them to procreate normally."

This made Genshin quite curious. What kind of secret medicine could have such an effect? Torifu just wanted to say it was the System-brand secret medicine.

To convince Genshin that he was serious and not just toying with them, Torifu continued. "I have already sent people to various places around the world to capture strange moths and butterflies. They will be back soon."

Mana's eyes lit up immediately. She had loved moths and butterflies since she was a child, but there were very few in Konoha. The ones at her home were all very common. She only had one that she loved the most, which she carried with her. Torifu could see a grayish-white moth with light blue markings on its wings resting on Mana's hair. He didn't know what kind of moth it was, but it was quite pretty.

"Nii-san, when will the moths and butterflies be back?"

Torifu stroked Mana's hair, and the moth seemed to be smart enough to move to the side. "In about a week. The person is currently in the Land of Fire and will bring the moths with them before they leave."

Mana immediately started clapping her hands, feeling that this older brother was very kind. He was giving her such a big gift on their first meeting.

Torifu looked at Genshin. "So, Brother Genshin, do you agree to let Mana be my disciple?"

Genshin nodded. Putting everything else aside, the fact that Torifu was going to have all sorts of strange moths from around the world collected for Mana showed how thoughtful he was toward her. He would definitely be a good master.

"I agree, but we should also hear Mana's opinion."

Mana understood what they were talking about and immediately nodded. "I agree to have Torifu-nii as my master!"

Torifu smiled and picked Mana up, spinning her around a few times. "In a little bit, I'll let the moth on your head eat a secret medicine. We'll see what kind of effect it has."

The so-called secret medicine was actually the Summoning Seed. Although it was very useful, he had only used fewer than five of them over the years. With Aokumo and Ryūfū, he didn't need any other summoned beasts, except for the one he used to trick Nawaki into becoming his disciple. He hadn't used one since, and now he found a use for it!
