"I'm home!" Reiji shouted as he pushed the door open forcefully, leaving it ajar while he ran inside. "Brothers, come quickly!"

Naruto stopped at the entrance, peeking in cautiously.

Inside the small house, he saw four more children besides Reiji. All of them had the characteristic red hair of the Uzumaki Clan. A couple were younger than Reiji, probably between six and eight years old. The oldest was about Naruto's age.

Upon seeing him, the oldest reacted immediately. He stepped forward and placed Reiji behind him with a protective gesture.

"Who are you?" he asked, frowning.

Naruto raised his hands in a peaceful gesture.

"Relax. I'm not here to hurt you. My name is Naruto Uzumaki."

The eldest didn't lower his guard. "Naruto... Uzumaki?"

"Yes, just like you. We come from the same clan." Naruto took a step into the house, without averting his gaze. "I saw your brother in the street and followed him. You don't meet another Uzumaki every day, given our situation..."

The boy didn't respond immediately. He seemed to be evaluating every word, every movement. Behind him, the younger ones looked on with curiosity, some with shy smiles.

"Are you really an Uzumaki?" he finally asked, one eyebrow raised and still frowning.

Before Naruto could answer, a female voice came from the doorway.

"I didn't know there were so many Uzumaki still alive..."

Karin appeared at the entrance with her arms crossed. Her bright red hair was the first thing that caught all the children's attention—hair just like theirs.

The youngest ones stared at her wide-eyed, surprised.

The eldest looked first at Karin, then back at Naruto.

Naruto smiled and pointed his thumb toward Karin, without looking at her.

"She's also an Uzumaki, as you can see. Her name's Karin. Do you believe me now?"

Reiji nodded eagerly from behind. "See?! I told you they were one of us!"

Karin calmly entered and crouched down in front of a small girl who was watching her timidly.

"And what are your names?" Karin asked with a gentle smile.

The youngest answered first. "Kenji."

"I already said, I'm Reiji!"

The girl in front of Karin hid behind Reiji. "N-Naomi..."

"I'm Mito," said a girl with messy braids, who looked like the second oldest.

The oldest crossed his arms. "And I'm Naoto."

Naruto also stepped forward. "Look... we're not here to force you into anything. I just want to know how many of us are left. The Uzumaki Clan was destroyed, but that doesn't mean we have to live apart forever."

Naoto watched him for a moment longer. Then he looked at his siblings, who were starting to approach with more trust.

"Our father is already working on that. He's outside the village. He's spent his whole life searching for other Uzumaki."

Naruto looked at him with genuine surprise. Then he whistled, crossing his arms with a smile.

"Wow, so someone beat me to it... and he's clearly not been wasting time."

His gaze quickly scanned over the five siblings, one by one.

Five children. Whoever this guy was, he'd been quite busy.

Naoto scoffed, crossing his arms. "We're not commenting on that."

"Sure, sure," Naruto said, raising his hands in surrender, still smiling. "I'm just saying I respect the dedication."

"What can you tell us about your father? Is he nearby? We'd like to meet him..." Karin asked Naoto.

"Like my brother said, our father isn't in the village. He knows some places where other Uzumaki might be, and he went to look for them, or at least try..." Mito replied seriously.

"He went to the Land of Demons. According to him, there are some Uzumaki helping the Priestess there." added Naoto.

Naruto and Karin exchanged a look. Both nodded at the same time.

Naruto turned to the siblings.

"I'd like you to come with us to Konoha," he said firmly. Naoto and Mito frowned, but Naruto continued before they could respond or refuse. "I'm planning to go to Uzushiogakure soon to rebuild it. I'll need help, and I'd prefer to have other Uzumaki with me."

The two siblings looked at each other, hesitant.

"Why would we go to Konoha...?" Mito asked with suspicion.

They knew, from what their father had told them, that Konoha didn't support Uzushiogakure when they needed it most. They had betrayed them.

Their father had hated Konoha ever since.

"I've cleaned up Konoha. It was Hiruzen Sarutobi and the council who refused to intervene. Without them, Konoha is safe again for the Uzumaki."

"That doesn't erase what they did!" Mito snapped angrily.

"And I don't expect it to," Naruto replied, nodding. "But it's your best option."

Naruto turned his gaze to the younger kids.

"Do you want to keep living like this? In Konoha, I can offer you a home, warm meals... And there's also ramen."

Naoto's eyes widened in surprise.

"Ramen? Our father told us about that... he said it was the food of the gods."

Naruto closed his eyes and nodded solemnly. "He's not wrong. Your father is wise. I'll give him a membership card for the ramen faith when I meet him."

Naoto and Mito looked at their younger siblings, their worn clothes and thin bodies. Both sighed.

"We'd have to let our father know. We can't just leave. We can't vanish suddenly."

"Don't worry. I'll take you to Konoha. Naruto can take care of finding him." Karin said with a smile.

Naruto raised an eyebrow.

Karin looked at him innocently, as if she hadn't just dumped more work on him.

Naruto thought about the Land of Demons. He had considered visiting Priestess Shion at some point.

She possessed a rare Dōjutsu that allowed her to foresee death and alter destiny by sending her spirit back in time to avoid her demise.

He wanted to help her with the demon Mōryō. Without his help, Shion and the entire Land of Demons would eventually fall.

"Alright. I'll go with you halfway, then detour to the Land of Demons."

He accepted without complaint. His journey kept getting longer, but he wasn't worried.

After the Land of Demons, he still had to go to Kirigakure. Only then could he return to Konoha.

"In that case..." Mito looked at Naoto.

"The Uzumaki Clan must stand united. It's time to regroup." Naoto replied, walking up to Naruto and extending his hand.

Naruto shook it with a wide smile.

"Perfect. We leave first thing tomorrow. We'll help you pack your things."

Naoto looked inside the house and grimaced.

"There's not much to pack, honestly..."

Naruto also looked around, nodding. They didn't have much, indeed...

"Well," he said, crossing his arms, "That'll make the trip quicker, at least."

Mito let out a small laugh, while Reiji ran to a corner of the room to grab a rope he usually played with.

"I'm ready already!" he announced energetically, proudly shaking the small rope.

Naruto looked at him with an amused smile.
