Rohan gave a curt nod without saying anything, and Angel said, "I didn't like him so much before, but when he came that time to remove bullets from your back, I saw a different side to him. I guess Grandfather has decided to be good." Angel said with a shrug and then looked back at the ball thing. "Let's put it in and give Mama back her memories. It will be real good to have her wake up remembering everything."
And so Rohan carefully let the light go, and like water seeping and soaking into the earth, it absorbed into her and disappeared. Belle's brows drew together as if in discomfort, but she soon relaxed and turned onto her side, her head resting comfortably on her husband's thigh.
"Did it work?" Angel asked, uncertain.
Rohan, still touching his hand against her hair and face, answered quietly, "We will only know when she wakes up. Let her sleep some more."
