His voice lowered, as he added, "Perhaps one day… he will walk right back to you." He wanted to reassure her, to give her something to hold on to, yet he was careful not to reveal that there was still a chance Rav could be cured. What if that chance never worked through?
She slowly raised her head to look up at him. "I never thought you would be the one saying this, but… do you believe fate works in such a way?" She sniffed, then used the back of her hand to wipe at her face.
Rohan gave a nod. "He didn't die. We didn't kill him, nor did you see him die. He just ran out of the castle. Angel believes he would be back, and so do I. Hope, I hear, is like prayer in some ways. Keep hoping and... loving him."
