Chapter 213 - 213. Cave under sea

Finally, around noon, as they had said, Tele Tete and Physalis Alkekengi returned to the hut of the undersea-walker researcher called the Madman. Of course, neither of the hegins knew what they had spent their morning doing, but Citar noticed that Wandi was looking at the other danovus with a faint half-smile. So he concluded that the older couple had definitely not just been chatting on the top of the mountain on Cannibal Island.

"Hello everyone! We are back! Missed us, right?" The voice of the Ishán of the Immortal Mist suddenly spoke, seemingly from nowhere. The Tele relatives and Suk immediately looked at each other and rolled their eyes.

"I now know why there has been such calm in recent days." Razvan sighed, which made all of the Athamanas laugh.

"You said that right, boss." Benkó laughed.

"Well, is this how you should treat elders?" Kamu appeared next to the hut, with the grinning Ajtony at his side.

"They are talking about you, Kamu." Tele Tete rolled his eyes.

"You're getting on everyone's nerves." Teveli continued without even turning to his ancient relative.

"You see how much they value us, Ajtony." The ghost-man sighed hypocritically. His friend, however, only rolled his eyes.

"I don't want to let you down, Kamu, but the young people are right." The poison-mixing sword ghost shrugged his shoulders.

"I'm getting on your nerves too? I thought we were friends!" Kamu turned desperately towards Ajtony and placed his right hand on his chest, as if someone had hurt him, whereupon the sword ghost rolled his eyes and grinned.

"Yes! But don't worry, Kamu, I know that the feeling is mutual and I'm getting on your nerves just as much." The poison-mixing spirit chuckled.

"Why do you have to know me so well?" Kamu folded his arms in front of him and pushed himself away from the wall of the hut.

"Hundreds of years do this to people." Ajtony laughed as he followed his friend towards the team.

"You might be right." Kamu shrugged, then shook himself. "So where is that pearl of undersea-walker?" He asked the question, and the team members looked at each other.

"On the other side of the island, crying to some unpronounceable named nyiumgyi." The danovus lady finally gave the most accurate answer, as she looked in the right direction. Kamu looked at the danovus with raised eyebrows, as if expecting a continuation or an explanation, but he didn't get any from the woman.

"In the morning, he said he would say goodbye to the nyiumgyis." Rahul shrugged. "According to our calculations, he might be back by sunset." He added, which resulted in the Isháns of the Immortal Mist looking at each other.

"I told you we shouldn't have come so early." Ajtony noted and grimaced, then folded his arms in front of him. "I could have finished that experimental poison in peace." He grumbled under his breath.

"If I let you finish that precious experimental poison of yours, we would never have come here in our stinking lives." Kamu scolded his friend. "I know you. You would have wanted to try it out and then you would realize that you had messed up something and would have started all over again." The Ishán of the Immortal Mist rolled his eyes.

"Ah, you know me too well, Kamu." Ajtony shook his head. "What a shame that you don't recognize my genius." The poison-mixing ghost sighed in a regretful voice.

"They really always bite at each other." Achilles grimaced.

"Just like you and Benkó." Teveli remarked, which made the two mentioned turn towards him at the same time and look at him sullenly.

"That's not true!" They spoke at the same time.

"But it's true!" Everyone from the Athamanas countered at once.

"So now we should wait for our little undersea-walker?" Kamu grimaced.

"Well, if you don't want to go down to the sea alone." Rahul began. "Then yes." He shrugged his shoulders and looked towards the mountain. "Is he still whining?" He finally asked, looking towards Alkekengi, and the woman just sighed.

"Yes, just somewhere else now." The hegin who grew up in the West received the answer from Wandi.

"This will take a while." Rahul squeezed his neck. "Who wants to go for a swim before the undersea-walker returns?" The hegin who grew up in the West asked as he looked over his team.

"Me!" Citar jumped in immediately.

"Don't leave me here!" Benkó was also enthusiastic, and with this he managed to get all the Athamanas to enthusiastically follow Rahul to the beach to spend their afternoon in the sea.

They laughed loudly and dived as deep as they dared. Then they dried off and waited for Llyr, the undersea-walker foreign minister, to come back to them. This event took place quite late, the Athamanas and their companions were just starting to worry that they wouldn't be able to go under the sea today either, when that certain nyiumgyi-maniacal undersea-walker finally appeared.

It must be said that he was not in the best of spirits, his eyes were teary and he looked as if he had just watched his entire family being written off. Of course, none of the Athamanas noticed this at all or they thought it better to let the undersea-walker recover, if he hadn't already managed to do so.

Then, with great difficulty, they finally reached the point where they could head under the sea. Llyr slowly led the team to a certain cave in the mountain that rose towards the sky in the middle of Cannibal Island, which led all the way to the depths of the sea.

"Ah, the light sources here are like yours, Razvan." Rahul said with a faint smile on his lips, when the team was following the undersea-walker in the cave.

"Yes, it looks very much like that." Razvan nodded, smiling too.

"I don't know why you're so surprised, the Zaukán caves aren't the only place where there are luminous crystals." Etele appeared next to Rahul.

"Lake!" Suk shouted happily, which made every member of the team look ahead and actually see the luminous lake.

"This leads down to the seabed." Llyr sighed heavily, then turned to the nyiumgyi who were still following the group. "Be good. I'll hurry back as best I can, take care of each other as always." He said goodbye to the slime creatures once more, then took another deep breath and was about to head towards the lake, but when he put his foot in, a group of soldiers dressed up to their necks in armor emerged from the water.

"Minister Llyr, we hereby arrest you for desertion." The figure at the head of the soldiers announced, then looked at the group. "And for treason." He added.

"What? I didn't do anything." The undersea-walker foreign minister began to excuse himself.

"Not a word!" The leader of the soldiers shouted. "You are all under arrest. You'd better follow us quietly, we don't want things to escalate into violence." The soldier said in a cold voice, then waved, and his companions immediately started towards the team, when another figure appeared out of nowhere between the two teams.

"Well, finally, boss, I've been looking for you everywhere!"
