The consequence of Razvan's nighttime conversation with Etele was that the leader of the Athamanas left the beach hut for hours.
"So what happened to him?" Suk stepped out of the hut next to Teveli.
"I have no idea, but something really shook him." The Tele boy shrugged.
"He'll recover!" The Zovárd boy waved a hand, then yawned. "Let's go back to sleep. It's fucking late. We don't have to worry about him. Your uncle's danovus girlfriend is watching him anyway." He suppressed another yawn.
"His what?" Teveli asked back.
"Danovus girlfriend." Suk spread his arms, then looked at the Tele boy as if he didn't understand what couldn't be understood in what he was saying.
"The Mist got into your head." Tev rolled his eyes.
"You don't want to understand the obvious. Alkekengi stares at your uncle like Wandi does at Citar." The Zovárd boy put his hands on his hips.
"I mean, I haven't noticed that yet." Teveli thought for a moment.
"Good! Could you start working on this discovery in the morning? I'm fucking sleepy." Suk remarked.
"Who said you can't sleep, idiot?" The youngest Teike tilted his head to the side.
"No one, but you could do with some sleep too." Suk elbowed Teveli in the side.
"Okay, okay, I give in." The Tele boy agreed, so the pair returned together to the small hut, where they also went to rest. Thus, the silence of the night fell upon the hut again.
The majority of the group was already sighing deeply, and Razvan was still nowhere to be found when a figure sat up in the small hut. A simple hand gesture made it happen, and a protective circle that looked more like a large bubble, vibrating faintly purple, appeared around it.
"Did you really have to rile him up like that?" Rahul asked, then slowly opened his eyes and grimaced at his ghost-relative sitting cross-legged across from him.
"Don't try to tell me that it didn't bother you too that he was constantly watching you!" Etele asked with raised eyebrows.
"Okay, you're right. It really started to bother me a bit." Rahul rolled his eyes.
"See, because if it hadn't been something in it, I would have let it go, but like this." The ghost shrugged.
"But like this." Rahul agreed with a nod.
"How is your head?" Etele changed to a much kinder tone, which managed to make the youngest Koál's lips curl into a half smile.
"Are you afraid for me?" He asked the question, thus eliciting a roll of the eyes from Etele.
"I don't answer stupid questions." The ghost relative left it at that. "So?" He continued to question Rahul.
"Getting better." The hegin who grew up in the West admitted. "There are still some vague points, but everything is clearer every day." The boy squeezed his neck.
"That's nice to hear." Etele smiled too, then his smile turned into an evil grin as he leaned closer to his successor. "So does that mean you already know why you went to Madüjawr?" He asked in a whisper, as if he was afraid that someone would hear what he was saying. However, that was completely impossible, thanks to the protective circle they were in. Following his relative's question, Rahul's lips also twisted into an evil smile.
"To destroy the Karrabata Valley, of course." The boy gave the answer, thanks to which his relative even flashed his teeth and grinned.
"I'm so glad you're back." Etele chuckled as he straightened up again.
"It's good to be back." Rahul agreed with him, then his features became serious. "But really, did you have to go so far with it that you'd also dip the others?" The chüvigh hegin grimaced.
"It won't hurt him to think things over a bit." Etele rolled his ghost eyes. "He may be distrustful of strangers, but once someone gets too close to him, he tends to ignore even the greatest danger." The Koál ancestral ghost rested his chin on his palm.
"I hope you know what you're doing." Rahul looked at his ghost relative sullenly. "He won't be of any use to me if you completely crush him." He folded his arms in front of him.
"I know exactly what I'm doing, don't be nervous! I told you to leave it to me and everything will be fine with him." Etele repeated his relative's movements.
"I recommend it. I like the team, I wouldn't be happy if I had to get rid of them." Rahul turned his head to the side.
"Look at that, what do I hear." Etele grabbed the boy's chin and turned his head towards him. "You got to like someone?" The ghost relative asked with a smile, and Rahul pushed the ghost hand that was holding his chin away with the back of his hand.
"I don't hate people that much." Rahul chuckled.
"Oh, no, you just made all of Míngrizimen's children terrified of you when you were little. You only had to look at them badly and they would run away screaming." Etele rolled his eyes.
"Why, if they were stupid?" The younger Koál shrugged. "The Athamanas aren't that." He looked around at his sleeping companions.
"No, they really aren't." Etele agreed with him, as he himself looked over the small group. "Even individually they would be exceptional allies or dangerous opponents, but together..." The ghost relative pondered.
"They don't even know what they would be capable of." Rahul sighed.
"You know that they will only reach that potential when they really have no secrets from each other anymore." Etele explained without even turning to his kindred. "But the time for that is not yet. For now, they are too busy achieving their own goals. Let's just say it's good for you." The ghost relative chuckled.
"For now." The boy agreed, then looked up at the ceiling. "Let's just say I didn't expect your son, but as long as he doesn't interfere in my business..." The young man grimaced, then shrugged.
"Kamu was always good at not interfering in what was none of his business. No need to worry about him. He's just looking for excitement. He's been around for over a thousand years, believe me, the world can get fucking boring after the first two hundred." The ghost relative grimaced.
"It's a good thing we're trying to do something about it now. We shouldn't die of boredom." Rahul chuckled, then stretched. "Check if Tapló boss is okay? He shouldn't drown himself here for me." The young hegin yawned.
"Okay, I'll go and keep an eye on the fool." Etele rolled his eyes. "You get some sleep. I have a feeling your little undersea-walker friend won't leave you alone for the next few days." Etele chuckled, then snapped his fingers and as the pale purple bubble disappeared, he too was absorbed into nothingness to search for Razvan through the Shadow World. And Rahul, shaking his head, lay down again to rest himself for the coming days.
