The Ancient Imperial Calendar, Year 1819
When Ricardo stepped out of the portal, he found himself in the Forest of the Fairies.
"It's been a while since I came to this forest. Before returning to the Western Lands, let me spend some time with Yurille, Alessir, Mayyar, and Nilirre one last time."
Ricardo headed toward the Fairy Village. After a while, fairies who saw him gathered around him.
Alessir was overjoyed to see Ricardo. Without wasting any time, she threw her arms around his neck and kissed his lips.
"It's been a long time, my love."
Mayyar hugged him from behind and kissed his neck.
"Did you miss us, my dear?"
Nilirre snuggled up and kissed Ricardo's cheek.
"I think we should talk later. Shouldn't we have some fun first? It's been a while since we last did."
Ricardo was pleased by the intense attention.
"Alright. Let's bring Yurille along too."
The girls smiled.
"Sure, but first, there are four people you need to meet, Ricardo."
Ricardo asked curiously.
"Who are they?"
Mayyar answered with a laugh.
"Your children."
Ricardo's surprise grew even more.
"Children?"
Nilirre answered.
"Yes, you have a child from each of us four, Ricardo."
Ricardo felt excited.
"Great, take me to them."
The girls pulled Ricardo by the arms and took him to the village.
When they arrived at the village, the three of them entered different houses. A few seconds later, they came out holding babies in their arms.
When Ricardo saw his babies, he was happy.
"So, all three are my children."
He took each of them in his arms one by one, kissing and smelling them.
"Are all three girls?" he asked.
Alessir, Mayyar, and Nilirre nodded their heads up and down in confirmation.
"Fairies cannot give birth to males, Ricardo. You already know that," said Alessir.
"I know, but I couldn't help asking. Anyway, have you given them names?"
"Yes," said Mayyar.
Ricardo asked for their names, and the girls answered in turn.
Alessir had named her daughter Alia.
Nilirre had named her daughter Nora.
Mayyar had named her daughter Angel.
Ricardo learned his daughters' names and remembered that there was a fourth daughter.
"So, where is Yurille? I must have a child from her too, right?"
"Yes, you do, Ricardo."
Ricardo recognized the owner of the voice and turned his head in the direction it came from.
"Yurille."
Yurille was holding her daughter in her arms. The other fairies who saw her bowed their heads respectfully.
"Look, my daughter, this is your father."
Ricardo and Yurille walked toward each other.
Yurille gently handed her daughter to Ricardo.
Ricardo took his daughter in his arms, kissed and smelled her.
"What's our daughter's name, Yurille?"
Yurille answered.
"Mariella."
"Mariella... a beautiful name."
"Let's go to my house. We can chat and spend time more comfortably there."
At Yurille's invitation, Ricardo, Alessir, Nilirre, and Mayyar went to Yurille's house.
After putting the babies to sleep, they sat down and chatted.
"So, what wind brought you here, Ricardo?"
"I wanted to spend time with you one last time before returning to the Western Lands."
The girls were surprised.
"The Western Lands? So, you're leaving?" asked Alessir.
"Yes," answered Ricardo.
Nilirre asked curiously.
"Why are you leaving?"
Ricardo answered.
"I've stayed here long enough. It's time for me to return home, and it's also time for me to ascend to the throne."
Mayyar asked.
"The throne?"
"Yes, Mayyar. I will challenge my father for the throne."
Yurille adopted a cold expression.
"So, you're going to overthrow your father from the throne?"
"Yes. More precisely, I'm going to kill him."
The girls' hair stood on end. They were so frightened they didn't know what to do.
Mayyar protested.
"You're going to kill your father? You can't be serious."
"This isn't something foreign to my House. Among my ancestors, there are many who ascended the throne by killing their fathers. My father, Orsman IV, also ascended the throne by killing my grandfather, Ryas V."
Mayyar objected in an angry voice.
"But this is still wrong. If you continue this, in the future, your son will also kill you to ascend the throne. This cycle will continue forever—sons killing their fathers to take the throne, and the cycle repeats itself."
Ricardo got angry.
"This is a normal thing, Mayyar. It has been this way since the founding of the Ancient Empire—even since earlier years—and as long as the monarchy continues, it will remain so."
Mayyar stood up angrily, but Nilirre took her hand and sat her back down.
"Calm down, Mayyar."
Mayyar forced herself to calm down, taking deep breaths.
After Mayyar calmed down, Nilirre asked her question.
"What's your plan? To storm the palace with soldiers?"
Ricardo shook his head left and right.
"No, I will do this in accordance with Kislavein traditions. I will challenge my father to a duel for the throne."
Alessir asked anxiously and curiously.
"And what if he doesn't accept?"
Ricardo answered confidently.
"He will. He has to. If he doesn't, it will be considered an admission of defeat. He will lose his authority and be forced to abdicate."
Yurille clapped her hands.
"Alright, that's enough. Ricardo, you came here to spend time with us, didn't you?"
"Yes."
"Then there's no need to talk further. Girls, let's give our love a wonderful night before he leaves."
Ricardo cast a soundproofing spell so the babies wouldn't wake up.
The girls felt the spell and smiled seductively at Ricardo.
That night, no one held back, and they enjoyed themselves nonstop until morning.
