Chapter 4 - You Just Saved My Life

The group of rich kids was stunned. They had never encountered someone this brazen.

Whether it was the migrant workers or the hillbilly from the mountains, anyone who crossed these second-generation heirs usually cowered like mice in front of cats.

But this bumpkin… he dared to strike them without fear.

Chen Xinan glanced at the earring-wearing boy kneeling on the ground, sneered, and said, "A weak little man like you? One finger of mine could take out ten of you."

The group froze.

How could they have expected to meet such a fearless lunatic?

All eyes shifted to Lei Ming, the leader of this million-dollar car club.

Lei Ming's face darkened. His eyes locked on Chen Xinan, teeth gritted. "How dare you act so boldly in front of me? How dare you hit my brother? Who do you think you are, you random hillbilly?"

Before he could continue his tirade, Chen Xinan slapped him across the face. Lei Ming staggered two steps, barely caught by his companions, otherwise he would have fallen to the ground.

Chen Xinan scowled. "You talk about being heaven and earth… why not claim you're the Jade Emperor too? Who cares who you are? Just tell me why you called me over."

Lei Ming's crew erupted: "Take him down! Don't hold back! Kill this lunatic before he ruins the place!"

The shop workers scrambled, grabbing wrenches and crowbars. They had no grudge against Chen Xinan, but if Lei Ming said someone had to die, who dared defy him?

At that moment, a black sedan pulled up in front of the repair shop. Compared to the flashy luxury cars inside, it seemed humble—but everyone's expression changed. Even Lei Ming thought of turning and fleeing.

"Stand still!"

A commanding voice rang out. A middle-aged man in a jacket stepped out of the car. Balding at the temples, with a stern, official look, he immediately exuded authority.

Lei Ming stiffened, face pale. "Father… you're back? What are you doing here?"

The man pointed at him. "I should be asking you! Who are you? What have you done?"

Chen Xinan muttered beside him, "He claims he's heaven and earth, the Jade Emperor, and this city is his personal kingdom…"

"Shut your mouth!" Lei Ming yelled at him, desperate. "Dad, he's lying! I don't even know him!"

"You dare defy me, Lei Ming!" the father roared, slapping his son hard on the head. "I was gone less than a week, and look at the mess you've caused! You crashed a family's car into the hospital and threatened them not to call the police! You even slapped a traffic cop!"

Lei Ming tried to explain, "It's just an e-bike! No one died! And we compensated them! What's the big deal?"

"You little fool!" the father shouted, face red with fury. His trembling finger jabbed at Lei Ming as everyone nearby froze. One wrong move and they'd be collateral damage.

Lei Ming's face fell, realizing no one could help him now.

Meanwhile, Chen Xinan wasn't done. He shoved aside the crowd and went straight to Lei Ming's father, Lei Guang, who was fainting.

"You want to save your dad? Move aside, I'm taking over."

Without hesitation, Chen Xinan lifted the collapsing man and placed him on the repair table, sweeping everything heavy onto the floor as if it weighed nothing. Steel tools, over a hundred pounds, toppled like feathers. One kick from him could have shattered someone's bones.

He pulled a cloth bundle from his clothes, extracted several silver needles, and carefully inserted them into Lei Guang's head. Then he drew a sharp blade, slicing behind the ear, drawing a stream of blood.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Lei Ming shouted, rushing forward.

"Don't touch me!" Chen Xinan barked, kicking him back onto the floor.

The man on the table coughed twice, wheezing. His voice was hoarse but filled with gratitude:

"You… you saved my life, young man."
