"Happy birthday, Little J." Della ruffled her son's hair as he blew out the ten candles on his cake. "Did you make a wish?"
"Yep," Jax replied, eyes sparkling with excitement. Della began cutting the cake, and the air in the atmosphere came alive with chattering pups and the sugary scent of icing. Turning ten was a big deal. They'd debated throwing a huge party for the whole pack, but then Murphy had hinted that Jax might get an extra surprise this year.
