________________________________________

3 Days.

That was how long it took Marcus to return back to Beacon Hills.

That due to wanting to put the thought to his hunters that he had fled by having had to walk until he reached another town, and from there he had stolen a car and returned through a normally unused road.

And from there he had to watch where he appeared, but with his [Aura Stealth] already at C rank that would have become easy.

But that was impossible with him carrying around and unconscious woman's body.

He also took that long due to the fact that with [Aura Source] he found a lot of interesting things in the forest.

Magical plants, trees that emanated mana or areas with dense areas of it.

He didn't know whether this was due to the fact that the Nematon was close to Beacon Hills or not but he had collected as much as he could.

But now he was finally safe, or as safe as he could be inside his new warehouse.

It wasn't anything grand, it had a cubicle by the corner that he had already renovated to be where he would sleep.

A cage that he had made with [Matter State Magic] to keep his kidnapped hunter inside and a bucket load of crates filled with metals that he had no clue would be here.

But then again seeing as this warehouse was used to store goods to be used for electronics and car parts he wasn't as surprised.

Plus, he wouldn't throw away a blessing like this away.

The only downside to his situation though would be obtaining equipment and supplies for his research.

With his being on the run.

But he already had a plan laid out for that.

It was a reckless plan but it was a plan nonetheless in order to Kickstart his whole operations.

What he needed the most was internet.

He needed that treasure trove of knowledge in order to start.

With it he would procure equipment he needed and blueprints for some equipment that he would normally never be able to procure otherwise.

With those blueprints, [Matter State Magic], [Transmutation], [Craft], [Jury-rig] and [Artificing], then he was sure he could recreate what can't obtain and infact make it way better with some careful study.

He'd need to obtain more skills though, that had always been the plan— to utilise his system to obtain skills that would allow him to skip the torture of having to faithfully study like any normal person.

And in the short time he has lived in this world, he already obtained just the right perks, skills and equipment to cheat his way to understand so many fields.

His Ace though was the [Trace Gloves].

He was confident that he could withstand the information overload now.

With his [Mind] stat unlocked, he was sure that he could increase it.

Since all his stats increased the more he did an activity related to that certain stat then that meant that if he studied and understood something then the stat would increase.

And with [Genius Comprehension] he could comprehend and understand anything even though in the past that had caused him a great deal of troubles.

Now he could handle it.

Another thing that he could use to increase his [Mind] stat was by obtaining a perk, a perk that increased his base stat like his perception stat from [Genius Comprehension] granting that stat a whopping 300% base increase.

His [Mind] stat already had an increase though.

[—Mind - 29[34]*]

The increase of 5 into his mind was obtained from [Recall].

[—Recall[Perk] - Grants it's user eidetic memory, this allows them to never forget anything they have heard, seen or experienced allowing them to recall anything with perfect clarity.

~Adds a +20% percentile increase to Mind.]

So now he just needed to obtain more like it.

And one way he knew to be a foolproof way to obtain perks was with [The Dice Of Fate].

As long as he rolled high with it then he was ensured to obtain a perk.

But that way had its risks too, such as rolling low and failing which he was sure would bring some catastrophic event to him one way or another.

But aside from that, he first needed to obtain a way to get internet access.

So that meant that it was finally time to start his reckless plan.

That being to finally use his bloodline granted abilities.

More specifically, Split[A].

And on another note, with his bloodline increasing in quality over time he found that his other ability Hive Connect[S] had ranked up.

The last time he had checked it had been ranked A, now it was S.

After having reviewed the changes made to it he was happy of the changes at least.

[—Ability - Hive Connect

—Rank - S

—Description - Allows the user to connect their minds to any clone that they have created, allowing them to control one of more clones with total clarity and ease.

- The Original may now be able to grant limited autonomy to their clones, allowing them to complete tasks ordered by their original with no need for the original to always be connected to the Hive.]

With this now he wouldn't need to control multiple bodies at the same time, he would on occasions though when needed but with this he could create minions to do his bidding, even if those minions were basically his clones.

And to recap on the description of his other ability just to see whether nothing had changed he was left disappointed at it being the same as last time even with his bloodline percentage increasing.

[—Ability - Split

—Rank - A

—Description - Allows the user to split their essence and in doing so create a perfect replica of themselves, the clones stats will be lower than the original but everything else will be a replica of the original.

Clones created will have total loyalty and obedience to the original. For a single clone, the user needs 10 in their Mana Stat and depending on how high their Mana stat is then they can create more.]

And so with that, everything was in place to begin.

So breathing in, he reached deep into himself, finding the use of his ability almost instinctual.

And with a mental switch he felt something in him stir.

A portion of his mana suddenly pulling out of his body before setting just opposite of him.

He opened his eyes, watching as infront of him energy coalesced.

His Perks immediately perking up as Aura, Mana and different concepts fused together in a mismatch of colour.

Markus watched, ensnared by the process with an awed gaze as mana changed from its pure state to different energies and from that to matter.

He watched, understanding pouring in with each second and then watched as the mana was sculpted in his image.

Moments later he watched as bone, nerves, muscles and skin crawled into place and became a picture perfect representation of him.

Immediately he felt something connecting to the clone, still standing with its eyes close.

He immediately activated [Hive Connect] and granted the clone limited autonomy.

" Damn, I'm handsome." Was the first thing Markus' clone said as it opened its eyes.

" I know right." Markus muttered on instinct before frowning." Okay, maybe say that shit when you're clothed or this becomes weird."

" As weird as seeing a second you?" The clone asked with a shake of its head, already heading to the cubicle meant for Markus to sleep at.

Markus watched the clone walk away with a grin.

His mind already making up plans for the future, with his potential and capabilities he was sure that he would become unstoppable in this world.

After all, if he could create clones like that then what if he made all of them shifters?

Vampire versions of him or werewolves?

" This just changed everything...." He muttered with a smirk.
