Chapter 289 - chapter 89

Hamar rubbed his chin and thought of an issue, "But doesn't that mean Master isn't able to do anything? Should he also be tied to my causality?"

Hou shook his head, "Not exactly, think of causality as the authority and restrictions you get as a king. A king cannot roll around in mud for fear of losing his image. Does that mean a humble farmer under the king cannot do the same?"

Hou paused for a moment before continuing, "But if that farmer was given a job by the king himself, then he took is restricted..."

Hamar nodded, "Hence why it cost causality to send the message to Jin through Master, I see." He opened his eyes, "Master," he spoke aloud.

Mo Huai held out his hand, which Hamar took and he stood up and looked down upon the war preparation below. He placed a hand on Mo Huai's shoulder, "How long?"

"Half a day, we start at night time." Master took a deep breath and steeled his resolve, "This is a moments time...whether we succeed or not decides the fate of this world, huh."

Hamar bit his lip, "We can only do what we can...fight with all our might. What's the plan?"

"We got their location thanks to you, we've also done our utmost to drive any other forces of Yi Sect in their headquarters. Now we just have a split war..."

"The elites and the common fighters." Hamar frowned.

"Exactly, I'll be fighting mostly with the common fighters. Though I'm an Elder, I'm stronger at mass warfare with my miasma soldiers than near one-to-one combat."

Hamar nodded, "Qi Lan was replaced by Jin in the Great Formation, is she doing anything?"

Mo Huai ruffled Hamar's hair, "Don't worry, she's part of our reserve plan. She's in a separate part of the Great Formation and in the moment she is needed will concentrate all power and do what's needed..."

Hamar nodded, "It feels..."

"Weird? Off? Yes..." Mo Haui squinted his eyes, "It doesn't feel like soon we'll be in a fight deciding the fate of the world, does it?"

Hamar closed his eyes and shook his head, "How about the three of us go and have a drink? Me, you and Hou...at least the consciousness fragment I have with me."

Mo Huai smiled, "Let's..." He jumped down onto the roof they had been floating above and gestured for Hamar to follow. The two of them walked through the busy streets in silence. Hou, too, on the inside summoned up a glass and a bottle of drink within the Inner World.

Hamar saw this through his intuition and smirked, he grabbed Mo Huai's arm and the two of them vanished from sight. Mo Huai was sucked back into the Inner True World and Mo Huai cloaked himself in a aura barrier, sending his consciousness inside the Inner True World.

Inside Hou looked surprised but quickly waved his hand and summoned up more glasses. He had switched from a wolf body and temporarily switched with a sleeping human body from the Solar lands.

He saw Hamar's lost consciousness and sent a spare sleeping body through for him to possess, "Let us drink. In the fight tomorrow l, I'll send out William too, he'll be somewhat useful."

Hamar took his glass of drink and raised his eyebrows, "He has enough aura? He just used up all of it didn't he?"

Hou shrugged, "It must be due to the spare bit if causality which flew off, he doesn't have enough to fight with the elites...but common enemies, he'll help a few more of our side survive."

Mo Huai chuckled and put his hand on both of his disciple's shoulders, "No more war talk! Tonight, we drink."

The three of them nodded simultaneously and raised their glasses, clinking them together under the night sky of Solar lands (opposite day cycle of the outside).

Jin and Yan sat side-by-side with their eyes closed. First it was Yan who spoke, "You know...I had died recently."

Jin breathing continued, "Really?"

"Yeah. I died and since then I was having issues with thinking, even with Master's help. But now because of what you did..."

"Your welcome." Jin smiled.

"Thanks." Yan, too, smiled and continued to regulate the formation, helping Jin where her flaws as a novice in formations are evident.

"Lord Rayleigh," the low-ranking vampire prostrated on the marble floor, "The Reversal Formation and State Reversal transformation pills have been finished in time!"

Lord Rayleigh, with shorter slicked-back black hair, turned around and walked closer to the low-ranking vampire who had just reported to him.

Each step he took resonated through the empty hall, he bared his fangs, "And what does Zhou Tian say about the Great Plan?"

"M-my apologies sir, I d-don't have the authority to get that info." He trembled on the floor, wanting to dig his fingers into the floor, but fearing the Lord's punishment.

Lord Rayleigh bent his knees and placed a finger on the vampire's chin, raiding his head upwards, "Then get me somebody who can tell me. Now." His sinister smile causing the low-ranking vampire to feel the urge to puke.

"Y-yes sir!" He hurriedly stood up and bowed, running to leave. Though mid-way, he stopped and puked up blood, a single drop escaping his grasp and staining the marble floor.

Before he could even think of his mistake, Lord Rayleigh's eyes widened and he flung his hand, the low-ranking vampire exploding. It's viscera came alive and turned into blood bats which flew back into Lord Rayleigh's blood stream.

He took a sharp breath in and gritted his sharp white teeth, "Useless!" He stood up and wiped his black suit, taking steps himself through his hall. Again, each step clicking against the hard stone floor.

He pushed open his door and instead of his own castle, he walked into a derelict cave. He fell to one knee, disregarding the cleanliness of his suit, "My Lord..."

From the shadows of the cave, a figure appeared holding a book, "My sweet child, do not worry. The Great Plan is ready, as long as you block the feeble attempts of the 'major sects', we shall ascend without issue."

He bent his aged-knees and fell to the ground, placing his head on top of Lord Rayleigh's. Placing both of his wrinkled hands either side of Rayleigh's head he whispered with a tremor, "They have our back, have no fear my child."
