Chapter 280 - chapter 80

Beside Hou, a crack in space opened up and a thread of cloud of miasma shook. Inside the Solar Lands, a corresponding cloud of miasma copied it's movements.

Mi Huai, on the other side, spoke into the cloud, "I'll use this method to communicate, it shouldn't mess with anything you need to do. It works via the perception of invisible spreading of disease in miasma and so as long as no miasma is used in what you're attempting, it should be fine."

Hou made an affirmative noise, if it was really Hamar on the other side (as the physical body is) he wouldn't have understood but Hou was much more familiar with the real workings of laws and techniques as such. He hovered his hand over the cloud, "If everything goes as planned, you shouldn't need to do anything, not yet."

"But is the chance it works as planned very high?"

Hou smirked, "If it was anybody else, I wouldn't say much...but. I trust myself, I'll start now."

Hou pushed the air beside him and caused the cloud of purple miasma to fly backwards, soon after, the rift in space sealed itself. Hou rolled his shoulders and mentally tapped Hamar awake within their shared soul. He spoke quickly relying mostly on straightforward transmission of thoughts, "I'm going to absorb the Solar Lands."

Hamar groggily awoke but as soon as Hou spoke, along with the huge transmission of a more detailed explanation he exclaimed, "You're what?!"

He merely snorted and tuned out listening to Hamar, instead he reached out his two hands as far as he could stretch them physically. He closed his eyes and raised his chin, he began the first step. Hou's preferred style of power was magic using mana but he wasn't picky.

Aura had distinct advantages and disadvantages with pure mana but since he was borrowing Hamar's physical body he could only rely on aura. However, Hamar's aura was not normal. It had gone through many changes and once Hou took over, it changed again.

The aura confirmed to the form most suited to the consciousness it was being subject to. For Hamar it was a strong, sharp, destructive, fluid, aura. But for Hou, the aura became less like a raging river and more like a calm ocean. He observed inside Hamar's body and sensed the aura he had accumulated in the time chamber. He needed to use as little as he could, they already used up all the time they could to save it for Yi Sect, Hou couldn't use it all here on something that may not work.

Hamar's energy was split into three main sources: aura, golden 'royal' authority, and most recently causality.

In Hou's head, he planned to use all three sources of power to lessen the overall load. He would first use aura as a base, royal authority to strengthen the aura and finally causality for the main strength.

Hou started his operation.

With surgical precision he pulled off a portion of condensed aura from the aura core (in the naval area) and loosened it's compression. Instantly, Hamar's body started to inflate. The aura 'bubble' had burst open and unleashed a torrential downpour of energy throughout Hamar's entire body. It was to the point that the weaker aura had suppressed the stronger royal authority with pure quantity.

Hou strained his mental energy and contained the aura within thick channels which he twisted with physical brute force. He used all his mental energy to create the channels, which left him to literally move his body to contort the channels in the way he needed. By the end of the first 'act', Hou had already stretched Hamar's body into a contorted mess. Hou gritted his teeth and pushed every drop of stored mental energy he had to launch the aura out of Hamar's body and into the air.

From inside the Solar Lands, Mo Huai watched as the ordinary night sky burst into a barrage of coloured lights as a streak of hot burning energy capsulated the entire circumference. The energy got filtered through the atmosphere and became light show to the inhabitants of the Solar Lands.

One such inhabitant, William, looked up with not confusion but complete trust. He leant on his balcony view and squeezed his hand, "Hamar, you...good luck." He chuckled and walked back inside.

In reality, it had not been his teacher Hamar but Hou piloting Hamar's body. But that's a secret he wouldn't find out until later.

Araxis, the old Magus which had created the world that Hamar and Hou now fought to protect, stood in his study with a strained expression. He clutched at his heart, "That's a gamble boy..." His other hand hover over the armillary sphere which contained the 'miniature world' as he named it.

His hand clutched over his heart trembled and flickered in and out of reality. He shook his head, "I really can't help anymore. I can only pray the Sea of World's doesn't try to stop you too hard. From now on, it's all up to you...you and the friends you've helped, the world behind your cause."

He supported his neck as he looked into the night sky, "I'm already doing my best to make sure the fluctuations from your messing with the world doesn't alert 'them'...I did this to stop them not bring more..."

His hand dropped, falling to the floor. He looked down as his left arm vanished into the air. He smiled in pain, and I'm hope.

Hou continued to expand the mental energy he had been building up in the time chamber, quickly expending 10%.

He shifted his muscles and formed back into a fairly normal shape and used his hands to control the aura. Ever since he had taken control of Hamar's body, the aura followed his rules now. And Hou was most familiar with the 'rules' of magic. The rules of aura and magic were called rules but in reality it's a worldview. A worldview that is personal to whoever it is. And so now the aura had followed Hou's 'rules' and he used his comprehension and complete knowledge of various laws of the world to expand the aura into various rings on different axis' around the Solar Lands.

Now he was down with aura...he moved to a scarcer resource within Hamar's body, royal authority.
