A few years later, Hou sat in the air atop solidified aura as he spoke with Hamar and Lan Qiang. Jin was also behind, not talking much but she was was there.
Additionally Xiao Ye Sat in her seat listening in but not doing anything. The on person missing was Tianmo, he was not in the room.
However as they were all relaxing and waiting for Master Sheng they heard a terrifying scream. It was akin to a burst of concentrated killing intent, but it wasn't targeted it just manifested without purpose.
Along with that was the shout that shook the earth and bent the walls. At first everyone was frozen at the killing I tent but Hou was unaffected and reacted quickly.
He had the Bloodbane Dragon back from Jin and he used it now while everyone was frozen in fear. He used the dragon, which had been unsealed more, and charged a large slash.
The dragon was as long as his arm and longer, it grew thick and glowing like the sun. Then with only a thought Hou caused it to let out a massive slash which destroyed the ceiling of the building.
As he did so everyone else snapped out of the frozen state and were in perfect time to see what caused the scream.
A massive monster the size of multiple mountains lumbered over the mansion and had a storm brewing around it.
Hou didn't know what to until Jin shouted out, "Formation! Now!"
Like a for had been lit everyone instantly understood what she mean and jumped away using their own methods. Well all but Xiao Ye he was still sitting down and looked up at the giant with a smile, "Good boy" she muttered.
Hou and Hamar both used aura to quickly run to where they needed to be, moving through the air. Jin used a technique she created after studying the Bloodbane Dragon and turned into a blood dragon. Lan Qiang got help from Jin and created a similar technique.
While Lan Qiang was mostly a spear master, he also used water laws mainly on the side. In order to strengthen his weaknesses he decided to get help from everyone he could and use it with his laws the best he could.
In doing so he modified Jin's blood dragon transformation to turn into a water dragon and fly away.
Each of the members of Tier 1 stood around the hulking monster and large distances. They turned back into humans and Hou put a crystal into his ear.
He was now a second circle mage and this was an artifact he created. It was a mana stone with a set of magic which would transport sound to each of the same artifacts within 100 miles.
Hou began to coordinate, "Everyone! Begin now with the earth counter formation!"
Lan Qiang huffed, "I'll take advantage since Elder Qi Lan gave me a few extra lessons on water based formations like these!"
Simultaneously everyone else gave an affirmative grunt and then punched the floor with with fists. They all closed their eyes and begun creating the formation.
Firstly was a base water which was covered in mental energy, before they did this Jin had an idea, "If the monster can't think...we should use Qi! We have a larger amount of it and can make the formation stronger but more vulnerable to control but to a monster that doesn't matter!"
Lan Qiang was thinking when Hou said, "I have a huge amount of qi ready, I can make the base entirely myself if we use qi!"
With only a few moments Lan Qiang had to make the decision, "No, too dangerous! Hou, separate yourself and use that QI for a second formation to look into the thoughts of the monster!"
Hou grunted and approval and jumped up, using Hamar's aura and solidifying it into steps which he jumped upon.
Hou peered inside himself and saw the huge amount of qi he had from the pool that sect master allowed him to take.
'I didn't think this would get to use...'
He pulled it out of the Celestial Law Amplifying Physique and a massive energy signature was slet out that even caused the formation being made to rumble.
"What is that insane amount of qi?!" Simultaneously everyone shouted one thing. Even Xiao Ye who was watching in from afar and not connected with Hou's artifact shouted it.
The massive amount of qi was strong enough that Lan Qiang was worrying that they might be useless.
But then as Hou began controlling the 'water' of qi it stopped mid air. Xiao Ye floated into the air while invisible and held out her hand.
She said aloud, as no one could hear her over the massive rumbling of the monster, "I didn't think I would have to step in so soon, can't have you using that"
As soon as she held her hand out the QI stopped listening to Hou. Then he pushed further, his quasi-Nascent Soul showing it's authority yet it did not budge.
Instead the QI spiked up and carefully injected itself within the monster. The massive earthy monstrosity was injected with QI and became bloated.
It stopped screaming and for a second those below thought this was Hou's plan and the monster would explode. But Hou stood there shocked and held out his Bloodbane Dragon in case there was danger.
And has he thought the earthy monster moved. The earth shattered and the original vaguely human shaped turned into a thousand armed, spider legged, human faced monster with started large but then shrunk.
Hamar was the first to react, "If it gets smaller it also gets more agile, we need to stop it!"
He rushed out of his place in the formation and shot forward like lightning. He speed broke the sound barrier and a sonic boom settled any dust in the air, perfect for all those watching to see Hamar shoot forward.
He held his sword out and a burst of aura so dense and strong was sent out as he slashed at the monster. Then he stopped and held his sword with both hands, creating an aura battlefield to immobilize the monster.
However the first aura slash was useless despite its density. The monster was his in it's body but it merely caused a few grains of sand to drop.
It's a thousand arms began taking various hand sigils and then pushed forward. The whole earth rumbled then shattered as hot earth created spike which were aimed at Hamar.
