Time flew by in the blink of an eye. A week had already passed since Raiga arrived on Planet Mapa.
During this time, he had avoided any external contact, focusing solely on improving his strength.
His rigorous training yielded significant results. Although he had yet to grasp the true essence of Ki, Raiga could sense a noticeable change within himself—though he couldn't quite put it into words. It was merely an instinctual feeling.
Originally, his plan was to steal a spacecraft from the Mapaans within these few days. However, during one of his training sessions, he experienced firsthand the inconvenience of a Saiyan's tail—gripping it too tightly caused an overwhelming sense of weakness to flood his body, making it nearly impossible to stand.
"A Saiyan's tail is a major vulnerability in battle."
Raiga sighed in frustration. He had no choice but to dedicate additional time to training his tail.
On Planet Vegeta, all adult Saiyans—or at least those with experience—would intentionally train their tails to overcome this inherent weakness. The original Raiga, being too young and lacking proper guidance, had never realized this issue until now.
But it wasn't too late to fix it.
For the next several days, Raiga subjected his tail to intense training. It was an excruciatingly painful process. Every time he so much as touched his tail, that same powerless sensation would nearly make him faint. The ordeal was far worse than physical training.
He would have preferred extreme weight training instead.
Roughly a month after arriving on Planet Mapa, Raiga still hadn't completely nullified his tail's weakness, but he had at least managed to resist the dizziness when it was grabbed. By this point, his combat power had reached 350—a mere increase of 40—but on Planet Mapa, he was already considered an elite warrior.
The most dangerous creatures on this planet were the ferocious wild beasts, some of which possessed combat power nearing 500. By comparison, the Mapaans were significantly weaker in terms of individual strength. Their survival on this planet depended entirely on their advanced technology.
As long as he targeted a smaller, less guarded city, Raiga was confident that no one could stop him.
With that conclusion, he decided to head for a Mapaan city.
Time to plunder!
After tidying up the shelter he had lived in for over a month, Raiga let out a hearty laugh and soared into the sky. As he followed the mountain range, rolling hills and vast lakes sped past beneath him. Before long, he arrived at a city with a population of around 100,000, its towering walls enclosing the entirety of its territory.
The city walls were covered in moss, with some areas showing cracks, indicating their age.
High above the walls, pitch-black cannons were mounted—defensive measures against beast attacks.
While the wild beasts of Planet Mapa possessed immense energy, their lack of intelligence meant they couldn't utilize energy-based attacks like Ki blasts. As a result, aside from the flying-type beasts, the city's massive artillery was more than sufficient to keep them at bay.
"This city's defenses are quite formidable, but they won't be able to stop me."
With a smirk, Raiga effortlessly infiltrated the city.
Below him, rows of buildings stretched out in geometric patterns. The streets were bustling with activity, filled with Mapaans—short-statured beings, barely over a meter tall, with stark white skin. When they spotted a figure suddenly soaring through the sky, they froze in shock before panicking and scattering in all directions.
They had mistaken Raiga for some kind of rare, airborne beast.
In an instant, the lively streets became eerily silent, with all civilians taking cover in fortified shelters.
"Cowards. Well, that makes things easier for me."
Chuckling, Raiga hovered over the city's largest plaza—this was the spaceport. Several cargo ships, used for transporting goods between cities, were docked there.
The moment Raiga arrived, he was quickly noticed by the stationed guards. Immediately, they raised their weapons, dark gun barrels aimed directly at him.
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack! All units, be on high alert!"
A blaring alarm echoed throughout the plaza, followed by the wailing of sirens. The soldiers stationed around the dock converged on Raiga, shouting at him in an attempt to scare him off.
Raiga casually stuck a finger in his ear and blew on it, uninterested in their warnings. He couldn't understand a single word they were saying.
Clearing his throat, he tapped his energy detector, activating its voice synchronization function. His youthful yet commanding voice resonated across the plaza.
"You there. Bring me a spacecraft capable of interstellar travel—right now. If you refuse, don't blame me for what happens next."
No response?
Raiga sneered and raised a hand, forming a bright sphere of energy.
Zing! Zing! Zing!
Dozens of radiant energy blasts shot forth, streaking across the sky before raining down upon the soldiers' weapons. With a series of explosions, their firearms were instantly reduced to scrap metal, twisted remnants smoldering in the aftermath.
Satisfied, Raiga nodded in approval.
But to his surprise, his intimidation had little effect. Instead of retreating, the Mapaans seemed to grow even more determined. More soldiers poured in from the distance, forming tight ranks as they shouldered a variety of advanced weaponry, seemingly prepared to fight back.
Raiga raised an eyebrow, visibly displeased.
"They just don't know when to quit."
From his perspective as a Saiyan, his presence alone should have been enough to warrant immediate surrender. He was being merciful by only taking a single spacecraft. If another Saiyan had been in his place, this planet would have been annihilated already.
"So, you want to resist?"
It seemed he needed to display overwhelming power to make them submit.
With a cold snort, Raiga prepared to unleash a stronger attack.
Clenching his fist tightly, he began gathering energy. As his power surged, the air around his hand distorted, accompanied by a deep humming noise. A dazzling glow radiated from his fist, the sheer intensity resembling a miniature sun.
"Watch closely!"
With a sharp shout, he thrust his arm forward.
A deep blue energy sphere shot out from his palm, roaring through the air like a rampaging beast. In mere moments, it traveled over five kilometers, slamming into the towering mountains outside the city.
For a brief second, the Mapaans stared in confusion.
And then—it happened.
BOOM!
A deafening explosion shook the heavens and earth. A blinding light erupted, swallowing the entire mountain range. An immense shockwave rolled outward, akin to the end of the world itself, as a massive mushroom cloud pierced the sky, sending destructive energy rippling across the land.
With a combat power of 350, Raiga's full-force attack was devastating. By comparison, back on Earth, King Piccolo from the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament had easily destroyed an island—Raiga was far beyond that level now.
The entire planet seemed to tremble under the impact.
When the dust settled, the Mapaans were horrified to discover that the once-mighty mountain outside their city had been completely obliterated.
Instantly, every single Mapaan in the city turned pale with fear. One by one, they collapsed to their knees, trembling in absolute terror.
The sheer, nuclear-bomb-like force of Raiga's attack had shattered their will to resist.
