Chapter 131 - Some Rabbits Are Alive, But They Might As Well Be Dead

"No need for a group purchase for membership cards. One card gives you five massages a month. How many people are in your family? If the count doesn't exceed that, one card should be enough."

"As for other services, we'll have to research and add them later. After all, today's the first day we're even offering memberships."

Hearing Rin's reply, Kaguya fell into deep thought.

Her household only had Eirin, Reisen, and Tewi—three people. That made distribution a bit tricky.

'One for me, one for Eirin, another for me, one for Reisen… That left one free session. Giving it to Tewi felt like a waste, so she might as well reluctantly use it herself.'

'Might as well just get two cards—one for me, and the other's free session can be transferred to mine first. Then distribute the rest.'

Perfect!

"Boss, I'll take two memberships!" Kaguya immediately blurted out, still holding her rice bowl. If a massage could leave a bedsheet in that state, she had to experience it!

"Sure, I'll set it up after the meal. Here, have some extra meat." Rin grinned, piling a large chunk of braised turtle leg onto her plate.

Might as well pitch memberships to the Scarlet Devil Mansion next. With Remilia's bottomless wallet, everyone there could probably afford one.

As for other services… he'd have to brainstorm what else he could add to the menu.

While Rin was lost in thought, Marisa and Patchouli kept sneaking glances at Yukari, their curiosity gnawing at them like an itch.

'Even after all this time, Yukari still hadn't fully recovered. Just how intense was that full-body massage?'

Before they could ask, a sudden gust of wind swept through the courtyard.

The next second, Aya descended from the sky, landing squarely in the koi pond.

"I'm back! Did I miss lunch?!"

"Just in time. We saved you a set."

"Woo! Boss, you're the best!" Aya beamed, immediately scrambling over to Rin. After snatching the chicken drumstick he offered, she dug into her pockets and pulled out a few photos.

"Boss, I got some shocking shots. Wanna see?"

"What kind?"

"A whole field of obese rabbits. The kind that could kill you if they charged."

"Oh, and I got a front-facing shot of that legendary 'Lucky Rabbit' too."

At that, everyone crowded around in curiosity.

The photos showed a vast gathering of white rabbits sprawled across a clearing in the Bamboo Forest of the Lost.

Each one lounged comfortably on pre-arranged chairs, their round bodies resembling oversized plush balls, some nearly half as big as Remilia.

And beside them? The pearl milk tea delivered earlier, which they were sipping with extreme satisfaction.

At the center of the rabbit horde, one small figure stood out.

Dressed in simple pink robes, her bare white feet dangled playfully from the chair.

Her short, neat black hair was topped with a pair of fluffy rabbit ears, and her doll-like face was so adorable it made you want to pinch her cheeks.

A cup of milk tea dangled from a carrot-shaped necklace around her neck, perfectly positioned so she could lazily sip without lifting a finger.

Noticing Aya's camera, she cheerfully flashed a peace sign.

"Rabbits that fat must taste amazing, right?" Mokou's mouth watered, she loved stir-fried rabbit.

Even Marisa and the others felt their appetites surge, their eyes gleaming with predatory interest.

Kaguya, recognizing the rabbit instantly, twitched.

'Damn it, Tewi's living better than I am!'

But then she noticed something and tentatively asked Aya—

"Did all fifty cups of milk tea end up here?"

"Oh, that's what those were? Yeah, that Tewi girl handed them all out to the rabbits. Some didn't even get any."

"..."

'Tewi's as good as dead.'

Thinking of the only two who didn't get any—Eirin and Reisen—Kaguya relaxed.

Especially since the cup labeled for Eirin was currently in Tewi's paws. She could already picture the rabbit's impending doom.

"Does this rabbit really bring luck or something?" Marisa asked curiously before suddenly tugging Rin's sleeve─

"Boss, maybe if we get her to boost your luck, you could finally catch a fish—"

Flick!

"Ow—!" Marisa clutched her reddened forehead, pouting.

'Why so touchy?!'

"She probably can. Every time I get lost in the bamboo forest, spotting her gets me out immediately. Her luck's even more ridiculous than that."

"Boss, what if I kidnap this rabbit for you? Could you bump up my membership quota?" Kaguya proposed eagerly. Since this rabbit had nothing better to do except eat, she might as well put her to work.

"I'll think about it…" Rin muttered, already tempted.

'If this rabbit's luck actually let him catch a fish, it'd solve a major frustration.'

Last time, watching Marisa and Reisen haul in fish effortlessly while he got nothing had been worse than death.

"Fine, I'll make an exception. If it actually works, I'll give you one extra session."

"Deal!"

As the two shook on it, Yukari's ears perked up.

She nudged Ran, signaling her to also push for an upgrade, imagine the benefits! But Ran just gave her a deeply aggrieved look.

"I haven't even used my card yet, and you already confiscated it. What's the point of an upgrade?!"

'If you want to hustle, do it yourself unless you let me try it first.'

Meanwhile, after showing off the photos, Aya plopped back into her seat, gnawing on her chicken leg while mumbling—

"Too bad I only ran into that rabbit. When I interviewed her, she mentioned there's some 'evil potion witch' hiding in the forest."

"Apparently, she wanders around every so often, grabbing people and rabbits to test drugs on. The victims all die horribly. Tsk tsk tsk… Uh, what are you writing?" Aya blinked as Kaguya suddenly leaned in, scribbling notes.

"Oh, I'm just very interested in your interview. Gotta share it with my family later."

"Go on, what else did she say?" Kaguya smiled sweetly.

'Tewi's been getting a bit too full of herself lately.'

If she played her cards right, she could totally strong-arm that rabbit into forced labor—in exchange for more membership perks!
