Chapter 90 - Chapter 90: The Shadow Hunter

The red alarm lights keep flashing in the dark, macam those horror movie punya scene. But here? This is real. This is danger.

Li Chuan and his team went full combat mode.

Su Man took cover, her hands steady as she set up her rifle.

Cheng Mo gripped his military knife, standing in the shadows, ready to strike anytime.

Shen Qiu's fingers flew across his holo-terminal, his eyes locked on the security system.

"In thirty seconds, their people will reach here," Shen Qiu whispered, still typing non-stop. "I trying to hack their system, maybe can turn off some CCTV, so we got better cover."

Li Chuan nodded, his eyes sharp as he stared at the metal door at the end of the corridor. The moment the alarm sounded, the building's automated defense had activated. Behind that door? High chance their main force waiting there.

"You all hear that?" Cheng Mo squinted his eyes. "Upstairs. Got footsteps."

Su Man quickly adjusted her aim, her gun pointing upwards. True enough, in the dim hallway of second floor, several dark figures moved fast.

"They are here."

Gunfire erupted.

Bullets rained down like heavy storm, hitting the walls, sending sparks flying everywhere.

Li Chuan rolled to the side, dodging the incoming shots. At the same time, he raised his gun—BANG! A precise shot hit an enemy's shoulder, knocking him back against the railing.

"At least six people," Su Man whispered, her sniper rifle firing with deadly accuracy.

Cheng Mo, hiding behind a pillar, suddenly launched forward. His knife flashed under the red light, slicing through an enemy's throat. Blood splattered, but before the next guy could react, Cheng Mo already vanished into the shadows again.

The enemy was well-trained. Their movements too precise, their bullets always grazing close but never wasting a shot.

Shen Qiu's holo-screen flashed with data. "They trying to corner us. They don't plan to let us escape."

Li Chuan's voice was calm, decisive. "Then we don't run. We break through."

"Shen Qiu," Li Chuan said while reloading his magazine, "can create fake signal? Make them think we already escape?"

Shen Qiu frowned, thinking fast. Then, he nodded. "Can. But I need five minutes."

"Then you got five minutes. We cover you."

"Copy." Shen Qiu's fingers danced over the keyboard, inputting a series of complex codes. Within seconds, the building's CCTV started glitching, infrared sensors briefly disrupted.

At the same time, Li Chuan, Su Man, and Cheng Mo moved together, pushing forward.

Su Man's sniper shots took down key enemies, forcing the others to reposition.

Cheng Mo used the building structure to sweep through close combat, taking out threats one by one.

Li Chuan controlled the battle rhythm, making sure no weak spots exposed.

Five minutes later, Shen Qiu looked up. "Done! They think we ran towards Bukit Bintang. Their main force already go there."

Li Chuan's lips curled into a smile. "Then now is our turn."

Su Man immediately pulled out a grenade, tossed it towards the metal door.

BOOM!

The explosion ripped through the entrance, sending dust and debris flying. Before the smoke settled, Cheng Mo was already inside, his knife flashing like lightning, cutting down a guard who tried to resist.

Inside the room, rows of massive servers blinked with blue lights, their hum filling the air. But at the center of the room stood a man in a metal mask, his eyes watching them calmly.

"Finally, you are here," his voice was low, dangerous. "Li Chuan, you really more clever than I expect."

Li Chuan's eyes narrowed. "Who are you?"

The man slowly removed his mask, revealing a familiar face.

Li Feng.
