"Then what's with that attitude of yours?" The man raised the baton in his hand and placed it underneath Scarlet's chin. "If you understand your situation, then step aside. Or else don't blame me for what might happen to you."
"Our crime hasn't been proven yet," Inez spoke up. Trying to minimise her presence but at the same time trying to make her voice heard was not an easy task, but she had to do it. She couldn't hide behind her sister. Not when Scarlet's safety was at risk because of her. Squeezing her hand to suppress the panic attack that was almost on the verge of breaking out, she said to the guard, "You–You cannot punish her without any evidence."
The guard turned his attention to Inez, and his eyes flashed with a glint of carnality, and he took a step close to her.
