"Taurus's old boss? Could he really be the child of the man who saved our planet?"
"I heard… that man was the strongest in the whole universe…"
The minotaurs stared in awe, excitement flickering in their eyes. The legendary figure had long been the subject of their elders' stories—praised as though he were a god.
"You've improved in the last thirty years…" Goku said with a faint smile, looking at Taurus.
"Thirty years? …You… you're not…" Taurus's eyes went wide, realization dawning as his face lit up with excitement.
"What? You've been calling me 'boss' all this time—don't you recognize me?" Goku chuckled. This fool had guessed his identity from one line, which surprised him a little. But Taurus's next words made him realize just how far off the mark his guess really was.
"Who are you kidding? Even though it's been thirty-odd years, the boss's face is burned into my mind! You may look like him, but people don't grow younger. That's not scientific—I know better!" Taurus spoke proudly, as though his high IQ made him immune to deception.
"Taurus, it's been thirty years and your bullheaded brain hasn't gotten any sharper," Bulma said coolly from the hatch of the spaceship.
"Huh? Such a pretty girl… why does she look familiar?" Taurus's eyes lit up as he stared at Bulma, trying to remember.
"You dim bull! You recognize that he looks like Goku but don't recognize me?"
"Ah! Big Sister!" After a long moment of thought, Taurus slapped his hands together and shouted excitedly. "I knew it—you're Big Sister. He must be you and the old boss's son, right? Where's the old boss? He's here too, isn't he?"
"Her son, my foot!" Goku snapped, immediately kicking Taurus flying again. The huge bull head slammed into the ground. "I'm called Son Goku, damn it! You're begging for a beating!"
"Pffft—" Taurus spat out a mouthful of dirt, completely unfazed. Looking at Goku with admiration, he said, "No wonder you're the old boss's kid. Such incredible strength!"
Seeing Taurus get kicked a second time without getting angry left the other minotaurs dumbfounded. When had Taurus's temper become so mild? Anyone else would have been in bed by now! Besides, Taurus was the strongest fighter on their planet—yet he'd been sent flying so easily? How was that possible?
The minotaurs could only stand aside, stunned.
"Talking to you is exhausting," Goku waved a hand helplessly and briefly explained the situation to Taurus.
"You really are the old boss?" After listening, Taurus let out an excited bellow, leapt three feet into the air, and tried to give Goku another bear hug—only to be kicked flying again.
Back at the Village, Goku and his companions were received with overwhelming hospitality. To the minotaurs, the savior of their world was already a godlike figure.
Naturally, a few itchy-handed minotaurs wanted to spar with Goku to see the strength of the so-called number one in the universe. Every single one of them ended up flat on the ground with a casual slap. Even Taurus's elder son, Leo—widely acknowledged as the planet's second-strongest fighter—was defeated by Goku in a single move. Their respect for him only deepened.
Leo was Taurus's elder son; Orion was his younger.
Nothing else of note happened on the planet. Goku didn't have time to linger, so after spending a single day as guests in the Village and finding the Dragon Ball, they bid Taurus and the others farewell and left Minotara Star.
Taurus and his people had wanted to come along, but Goku refused—this was his journey with the girls, and there was no question of bringing them.
The spaceship continued to streak through the stars. In less than half a day the Dragon Radar beeped again, indicating a new signal to the north.
"Beep beep~~"
Goku was playing cards with Zi Yan and the little girls when the Dragon Radar flared. Bulma glanced at it and then at the large planet ahead. "Is that the place?"
"Goku, stop playing. The Dragon Ball is on that planet up ahead. We're about to enter the atmosphere. Everyone, strap in!"
Hearing Bulma, the girls hurried back to their seats.
"Finally another planet. I hope this one won't disappoint…"
With a deep rumble, the spaceship pierced the atmosphere and entered a world much like Earth.
"The pressure is normal and there are no harmful substances. Looks like a planet very similar to Earth," Bulma said, pleased with the readings. "Good. Everyone hold on—we'll land on that stone platform over there…"
"Wait, Bulma!" Just as she was about to descend, Goku stopped her. "That rock mountain feels strange—there's a living aura there. And it's strong… it might be alive."
"Alive? Don't be ridiculous…" Bulma laughed. "It's a stone mountain. How could it be alive?"
But before she finished speaking, the "mountains" began to move.
"What's going on? Why are the mountains moving on their own?" the women cried out.
"Rooaar!"
Suddenly a giant mouth burst out of the lake, snapping at the ship.
"You're kidding!" Bulma gasped, jerking the controls to send the ship soaring upward. But from all sides of the lake, enormous jaws lunged at the spaceship—bloody maws filled with fangs big enough to swallow it whole. The girls screamed again and again.
Bulma piloted the ship through the maze of jaws and finally broke free of the lake's surface. Everyone exhaled in relief, staring down at the colossal creatures below.
"A giant crocodile carrying a stone mountain? What kind of creature is that?" Saya's eyes went wide.
"Did we land on another bizarre planet?" Kiriko murmured.
"In any case, let's find a place to land first…"
Bulma guided the ship toward an open plain. What they saw along the way filled them with wonder.
"Apples! Apples! Huge apples!" Alice and the other little girls drooled over massive apples the size of houses hanging from giant branches.
"Is that… a rhinoceros beetle? It's bigger than a person…"
"Incredible! Everything on this planet seems magnified dozens or even hundreds of times compared to Earth!" The women's astonishment quickly turned to excitement—finally, a truly fascinating world!
The moment they disembarked, Zi Yan and the little girls dashed toward the enormous apple tree. "Goku! Hurry up! We won't wait for you!"
They scrambled up the tree and pounced on the apples they wanted.
"This one's the biggest—it's mine!" Zi Yan was the quickest, clinging to the largest apple and taking a bite. Compared to the massive fruit, her tiny body looked like a bug on it.
"Hey, you kids—don't just eat things! What if it's poisonous?" Yuriko called, but the little girls were already busy gnawing on their chosen apples.
"So sweet! Delicious! Goku-nii, come on!" Alice shouted between bites.
"Don't worry—the apples aren't poisonous," Goku said with a smile. Watching the little girls eat made him hungry too. He leapt into the tree, grabbed a big apple, and took a huge bite. "Not bad! These apples are probably dozens of times more nutritious than normal ones!"
In no time he had chewed a giant hole into the apple. Saiyans had enormous appetites—bluntly put, they were born gluttons.
"I'm a giant caterpillar, munch munch munch…" Goku hummed a silly tune as he tunneled through the apple. Soon a network of little passageways crisscrossed the fruit.
"Heehee! Looks fun! I'm doing it too!" The little girls copied him, singing his awkward improvised song while burrowing into their apples. In moments the perfect fruits were riddled with holes.
"Honestly! You're all grown-ups but still like children…" the women muttered, speechless at Goku and the girls' antics.
"Look! The flowers over there are huge…"
"What an incredible planet! Everything really is giant…"
Chattering in amazement, the women ran toward a distant flowerbed to admire the wonders of this gigantic world.
